Back in 2006 the world of whole-leaf tea was boring, stuffy and outdated. Meanwhile, cool things were happening in the world of coffee. We saw the opportunity to get everyone drinking real tea again! And by real we mean big leaf and big on flavour. So, in November 2006 teapigs was born. Our mission today is the same as it was back in 2006: to get everyone drinking top quality, whole-leaf, great tasting tea - and to do business a bit differently while we're at it. All natural. No nasties. BIG leaf = BIG flavour. Simple!

The best tea you can buy. My subscription arrives every month, and their customer service is always top notch, I've not had many issues but when I have they fix it straight away.

Exceptional customer service
I contacted Teapigs customer service via the form on the website and found the responses I received were very quick and extremely helpful.
Kira in particular was very efficient at solving my issue. Brilliant experience overall.

Earl grey has gone very weak
My partner and I are so distraught. Have been drinking your earl grey (the normal one with the Dachshund on the packaging) for years. Even shuttled it over to the Netherlands when my partner was working there.
But for two packs now we have found the tea is very very weak. With one teabag per mug and letting it brew for 5 minutes, it should be nice and strong. But it’s totally watery.
Did you change the composition or could this just be bad luck on our side?

Where's the flavour?
Their chamomile tea, or is it a potpourri? - consists solely of dried flower heads, and it lacks any Starmereque sleep inducing qualities. I also bought a pack of redbush, which is meant to taste smokey, but instead it tastes of hot water and something vaguely herbaceous. A major selling point for me was the lack of microplastics in this product, but the teapigs aren't suitable for domestic compost heaps (read the green-washy small print if you really want to doze off). Instead, it is suggested that we should use a municipal waste disposal service, because we've all got the time and 'wonga' to buy enough teapigs to fill a large skip. My quest for good tea shall continue elsewhere.
Thank you
The Teapigs team is very proactive and keen to help with issues. Thank you.

Wrong order sent as gift
I ordered a gift box of six herbal teas to be sent to someone. Instead, Teapigs sent four boxes of tea and no gift box, which looks like quite an odd present. It's really disappointing, as I now have to contact the recipient to explain why they are receiving a slightly odd gift. The order included a gift card, so I cannot understand why Teapigs decided to cancel the gift box and just send four boxes of tea.

Teapigs great but very poor delivery experience
The delivery was really poor. I was wondering where the tea was and checked the tracking link for Royal Mail. It said that they had delivered to "my safe space" as I was out on 3/12/25, 2 days ago. I went around to find a soggy box left out in the open for 2 often wet days. I had a covered box for parcels right next to the door which various couriers have used with no problem. There was no note left to indicate where it was. The tea is now cold, wet and probably ruined. Update: Teapigs Customer Services sent me a replacement pack and dealt with the situation very well. Clearly the fault was entirely with the Royal Mail courier.

Chai tastes weak
Chai tastes weak, doesn't have correct flavour profile. I'm impressed by the plant based tea bags, as usually being a coffee drinker the last thing I want is microplastics in my cuppa.
'Ethical' is meaningless advertising jargon because it's a comparative adjective not a noun.
I'm not Indian, but I have spent over a year living in India and Nepal, but to me the flavour profile of their chai doesn't seem like anything I've ever tried, likely they didn't include enough tea and maybe missed out a more expensive spice or two. Also shows what a race to the bottom the 'taste' awards are becoming.
Tea with microplastic
Wish your business well and happy to delete this review when make changes, but selling tea in the plastic bag in the modern world is simply unacceptable. Do you understand that we breath with microplastic everyday because people where polyester. You also want us to drink it in large quantities? Tea quality is great, but how healthy it could be with micro-plastic?
Excellent service from Teapigs
Excellent service from Teapigs. Postman delivered order to the wrong address. Teapigs kindly sent a replacement order that has been safely received. Thank you!
Excellent service and tea!
Absolutely fantastic service ordered Wednesday morning and it came Thursday! I ordered a personalised selection box it's brilliant quality and the teas I tried that I ordered for myself are so good. Yes it's a bit more expensive but I have them as a treat and they are worth the money
Virtually homeopathic
Virtually homeopathic, unground tea where the bag has a 30% chance of splitting each time. Overpriced garbage.
