I had a few issues with my latest purchase and was struggling to get the service side to help me.
This is where Nicola Litchfield stepped in.
The matter was treated with urgency and in a very professional but friendly manner.
All the issues were resolved very quickly and I was kept well informed of the progress along the way.
I was so impressed that I went to meet her to say thank you in person and to put a face to the phone calls and emails.

Like pulling teeth
Difficult to book online as calling from a land line and only option is to send an SMS or WattsApp. No direct phone number listed. No longer open on weekends to pick up car and not enough people to cover the phones if ringing later in the day once you have a direct number. Took three three times asking for email confirmation of my appointment before I finally got one. Also asked three times for a check of my wetbelt and didn’t get confirmation until I was picking my car up it needed replacing. Would have preferred the option of receiving a call to keep the car in until that work was completed instead of needing to book again. Good work from the mechanics but the processes surrounding the service side of the business need work. Asked for a quote when picking my car up on Monday for the additional work. Told I’d have it by the end of the day and Thursday now and still no quote. Will shop around as painful dealing with the processes in place. Things seems to have gone downhill from when this was a car shop. Shame as I trusted them back then. Now it seems pot luck as to whether you’ll even get your call answered. Let alone a positive response.

I bought a car from Sytner Select…
I bought a car from Sytner Select Warrington in May, and it has been one of the most stressful experiences I have ever had. The vehicle developed a gearbox/vehicle electronics fault and repeatedly went into limp mode. I spent months being passed between the Warrington and Northampton branches, with poor communication and having to constantly chase for updates myself.
Northampton initially found multiple fault codes during their own diagnostics and referred the car to a gearbox specialist. Despite extensive investigations, I was repeatedly told no fault could be found. However, when I attended Northampton to collect the vehicle after being told it was ready, a vehicle electronics fault warning appeared almost immediately after moving the car a short distance. A member of staff witnessed the warning themselves.
Although I appreciate that Northampton continued investigating the vehicle and eventually agreed to resolve the matter, the overall customer experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of communication, conflicting information, and the amount of chasing I had to do caused me unnecessary stress and anxiety over several months.
In the end, Sytner accepted the return of the vehicle and refunded my deposit, which I appreciate. However, I would not expect a customer to go through months of uncertainty to reach that outcome. I hope Sytner improves its communication and complaint handling so that other customers do not have the same experience.
