I bought 2 Huxley sofas, a Huxley chair and an Atticus corner unit. I was worried at first, ordering online without seeng them ! Warren was great- he gave me invaluable advice from design , colour etc.
I was emailed every couple of weeks with an update on the making of my sofas , which was great.
My sofas and chairs were delivered and placed in the correct area by 2 great delivery guys.
The sofas are beautiful and I am so pleased with them.
The craftsmanship and detail is wonderful.
I would say to anyone not sure on ordering online with this company- definitely go ahead but do ring them as , as I said before, their advice is invaluable.

Amazing from start to finish! We ordered the Lennox in honey, 3 seater, 2 seater and armchair. We took a risk as we hadn’t actually viewed them in person!! But all the other reviews are great. Well they all arrived today and they are absolutely amazing! Not only do they look stunning, they are really comfortable and really really well made. Warren kept us informed every step of the way with update emails. Delivery was great too, they came in removed all the packaging, attached the legs and placed them exactly where we wanted them.
We love them so much we have just ordered a foot stall!

If you are looking for beautiful, hand made sofas then you should definitely check out SW James, if you are looking for a Chesterfield then they really should be top of your list - we looked at (and sat on) so many at various retailers before our research led us to their canal side establishment. We now have two Huxley sofas and a matching footstool and we couldn’t be happier. From the first phone call, to the showroom visit to the point where these fantastic creations now take pride of place in our living room - Warren and his team have made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. The customisation options are amazing and you really can find the perfect sofa for your home. I expect these will be part of our family for many years to come.

I approached Warren at SW James to find a new sofa. As I am very particular, I went to the effort of travelling North from London to their office and showroom. The craftsmanship of their handmade sofas and the quality of their leathers are superb. Also, their service was excellent, and everything that was promised was delivered with care. I have now had delivered a super large and beautiful Chesterfield sofa, a lovely wing chair, and a footstool—all beautiful pieces. My thanks to their whole team.

The Huxley, which arrived on Monday was carefully delivered and placed in the room , it has exceeded my expectations, beautiful leather, extremely comfortable, a real quality piece of furniture which I look forward to enjoying for years to come.

Our journey with SW James began purely by chance ... a chance Google search for "Quality UK made sofa manufacturers" - it had to be UK made and we knew it must exist somewhere, we just had to find it and quality - well who doesn't want quality ... what we found far exceeded our expectations, SW James are head & shoulders above anyone else and believe me we have looked at a lot. Quality doesn't truly describe what we have purchased - they are truly exquisite. You can see & feel the skilled craftsmanship and they are next level comfortable. We made our purchase not having met Warren or even sat in any of his beautiful Chesterfields, so if you are in any doubt about making a purchase from SW James and like us are at the other end of the country, have no fear you have chosen well and will be very well looked after by Warren and his amazing team.

We purchased two leather Huxley Chesterfield sofas from Warren at SW James. The experience started with a visit to the showroom where we were given an individual attention by Warren; not a hard sell, but an informed, experienced and guided service. We placed an order and Warren kept us advised of the production progress on a weekly basis. Not only that, they were delivered ahead of schedule. Best of all is the quality of the sofas. They oose quality and craftsmanship. We couldn't be happier and would recommend SW James to anyone who requires a quality sofa with quality service.

Outstanding service from Warren and the team at SW James. From having decided on an Atticus 3 seater sofa to complement our luxury rental home in the Cairngorms National Park, to the delivery of our sofa, the communication and customer support was exceptional. The sofa itself is luxurious and very comfortable, just as we had expected. A very satisfied customer.

From the moment we visited the showroom we knew we were making the right decision, and the order for our 2 seater and 3 seater Huxleys, plus a Blanch desk chair was made on the spot. In the eight weeks or so since then we have received regular email updates from Warren and today we took delivery. The sofas and chair are of a different level of quality to any other furniture we have ever bought - simply stunning. Then the icing on the customer care (it is care, not just service) cake arrived a few minutes ago - a beautiful bouquet thanking my wife and I for our custom.

SW James are an exemplar of what good old-fashioned service should be and I have no hesitation in recommending then unreservedly.

Who would of thought a holiday on a canal boat through beautiful Bollington, would begin our journey of finding our Vintage Chesterfields....and so pleased we did.

I knew from first seeing the photos of their chesterfields that I wanted an SW James sofa for my flat. There is a large variety of styles and materials to choose from and ultimately, I selected the Huxley with vintage honey leather. A bit apprehensive about such a large purchase without seeing it in person first but was relieved to find that the sofa exceeded my already high expectations. It’s comfortable, well made and high quality. No wonder all the online reviews of this company are so stellar! Would absolutely recommend to friends and family and am extremely satisfied with the purchase.

We ordered 2 Huxley’s and a laurel footstool and are very pleased with the results. There was no pressure to buy during our shop visit as is the case with some companies and Warren was very professional, friendly and helpful with all of the questions we had. We took a couple of leather samples home and spent a bit of time deciding which leather to go with. We opted for the 5 year protection plan for all 3 items and at a very reasonable cost, we have peace of mind should we have any accidents within this time.

Warren’s chosen delivery company were professional and the service they provided was excellent, all items unwrapped and delivered exactly where we wanted them, with no damage to the furniture or property. We will no doubt be in contact with Warren in future for another small order and I’m confident these sofas will last a lifetime. We are glad to support a proper British company employing highly skilled local craftsmen with a wealth of experience, you really do get what you pay!
