The ferries are clean and well-run, and large and modern enough that even rough seas are not too disruptive. The restaurant food is good basic fare. The seating is gradually getting less comfortable over the years, and there are more of the 'luxuries' being removed - there used to be a children's entertainer, a cinema, an arcade for the kids etc. There is wifi, but paid access is required to do more than send messages

As Gold member you'd be able to book a stena plus lounge seat for free and second seat for half price. when I tried to book this for our next trip, the gold member seats are sold out but when you pay 25 pounds extra per person you are able to book seats in the same lounge. This is really poor /false service, especially for your regular customers.

Everything is so relaxed and well organised which makes travelling so much easier. The staff are polite and always have a smile. The cabins are clean and comfortable, a great way to start a vacation.

Smooth as always, complementary food variety in the lounge could be more broad. Beer should be available as well as wine is too. Stena personell in the lounge is very accommodating.

Boat was lovely, clean and staff very friendly. My hut clean,shower and bed really good for a ferry. Really had a good experience. Food was the real Surprise very tasty and good choice. All in all a great trip 😄

The arrangement of cars is infuriating. I arrive first, then I am side-lined into a side lane on the ferry that is last to emerge. If I arrive first, then I expect to depart first. Why not have priority embarkation and disembarkation like other companies?
The sold out lounge for gold members was particularly disappointing as the lounge was nearly empty. This appears disingenuous. If you want to charge gold members for lounge use, then do it openly.
The wifi is particularly terrible with even the voucher for gold members providing around 3Mb/s.

I have been using the Hook van Holland-Harwich overnight crossing for decades, several times a year, and I love it. Always the same, always reliable. The cabins are clean and comfortable, the food on board is great, staff are friendly and helpful. With a flexi ticket I can change my ticket easily if I need to. Highly recommended.

Staff on board are usually very friendly but some recently less so. The cheerful staff is normally one of the high spots of the trip.
The ferry trip itself is fine, but the waiting experience at Harwich International is increasingly sufficiently poor as to reconsider using the ferry as a foot passenger. With no sense to the check in process, and no provision of food or entertainment the waiting time and check in process are grim and frustrating.

As always a lovely trip, easy boarding, fantastic guys in the Stena Lounge, super Duty Free and easy departing......a lovely trip and had a Gannet (sea bird) fly with the boat for a while...my first sighting.

As a handicap traveller I don't get to see much of the actual ferry.
Most things are good and the staf that have contact with the public are excellent very friendly and helpful.
Cabin cleanliness is hit and miss but it has improved on my last couple of journeys.
Stena really needs to replace their pillows more often.

The newly refurbished ships are pleasant places to sit. The lounge areas have good seats and plenty of options, the dining area, and the front beyond the dining area also offers a different perspective. The boat wasn't that crowded so we never felt swamped by fellow passengers. A shame they got rid of the cinema but understandable. Our only complaint is the ever-increasing prices - soon it will be cheaper for us to fly, which seems wrong. Not sure I trust their offers, whenever we search both with and without the relevant code the cost comes up the same (and high). It's luck of the draw where you are placed in the passport cues, but they are generally very slow and only once have we queued for less than an hour.

One of the first on board and found myself a nice seat beside a window. Put my 2 bags down and went to get a coffee and use the restroom. Upon returning about 5 minutes later a North African family with 3 children had moved my belongings and were sitting where I had put them. I kindly asked them to move but they rudely declined. One of the sons, about 12 years old said to me, "walla, old man, you was gone too long and anyway, it's easier for you to move as they are 5 and you are 1. ( there were about 50 other vacant seats they could have sat at). The father was physically touching me to move me away. Went to the reception and explained the situation. I was abruptly told I was in the wrong and should not have left my bags unattended. I said I just went for coffee and to the toilet. There are lockers for bags I was told. This is totally illogical. Travelling alone would mean every time I need to go to the bathroom etc I would have to gather all my belongings up, get a locker key, deposit my belongings only to return 3 minutes later, get my belongings, hand the key back in and upon return my seat would be gone then anyway.
Totally disrespectful of the family to touch/move my belongings and the reaction of the counter staff was to say the least, unbelievable.
