The nasty, disgusting practice of giving the middle finger to customers who decide to purchase lifetime licenses. If you think that a lifetime license includes all updates to THE SAME product, you are sorely mistaken—during updates, they will add a ridiculous suffix to the name and call it a completely new program. Examples? Start11 - they created a new version and added the suffix “v2” and treat it as a new product for which they are asking for money again. Fences - it was “3,” now they've added the suffix “v6” and are asking for money again. And the bugs are still there, and they are in no hurry to fix them, under any circumstances... Buying any license from them is a bad joke...

Purchased a 5 Pack. First 3 installs went okay and worked on all 3 computers. The fourth install? NOPE! TOTALLY SCREWED UP THE COMPUTER. HAD TO REINSTALL THE OS FROM SCRATCH! Spent hours trying to fix and no go!, Downloaded a newer version from Stardock. NOPE - didn't work. Don't waste you money on this!
Spent several hours over 2 days researching my issue since writing my first review. I stand by my comment/recommendation in my initial review to 'NOT PURCHASE' your product. Full disclosure is in order here because the 'problem' is not with your software. The issue is
an update from Microsoft that now prevents your start menu app from installing in the first place. It also prevents comparable apps from other developers from installing. i.e. Open/Classic Shell, StartAllBack and ExplorerPatcher as well as your app. Tried all of the above and it's a no-go. My apologies for the strong review... but check it out. It's an easy search online on the subject and,, I have lots of customers who are upset about it.

Fences works extremely well, I love the auto-organize and the hide double-click features. ive had this product for about 5 years with all the updates etc. I dont find alot of use for the other stardock apps in my suite but fences is very useful.

Paid full price, getting ADS to update to the latest version of fences DAILY with no option to delay or dismiss it
You cannot have forceful pop ups I cannot dismiss for a long time, especially in a PAID PRODUCT

The support person made the experience great. He kept on until it was truly fixed.

Just the variety of windows backgrounds says enough. Combine this with Stardock fences and its pure gold.

For those looking for a utility that can organize multiple apps and windows into a single, tabbed interface to speed up workflow, this is your tool. I use it all day every day. It never gets in the way or slows work at the expense of a pretty UI. This leaves important screen real estate free for productivity and reduced clutter.

the person was very helpful did exactly what I needed I asked for a refund which I don't want or need now because I couldn't find any better option on the website for customer support

I like being able to group together windows of different programs. I'm deeply disappointed, however, that I can no longer pin the groupy to the taskbar. That's an older function that has been removed, apparently.
And yes, this was a review that groupy prompted me to make . . . I do have start11; that permits me to pin the group to the start menu but not to the taskbar.

Overly sensitive when I scroll to the tabs. Groupy keeps popping up and getting in the way. Apart from that? I'm loving it.

Cannot export/import settings. Self explanatory.
Doesn't save all browser tabs. When I save a group I watch it process everyone one of my open tabs. There's a huge problem that was never communicated: you never told users they cannot touch the computer while it's saving. I had several tabs open and it lost them all. I opened them all again, and clicked Save again and did not touch it, I let it process each tab in each window in the group. Open the saved group, each tab was gone again. This happened in chromium browsers like Chrome/Brave/Vivaldi. Major fail! If not fixed, I'm not renewing, might ask for refund, because that's a core feature, and it doesn't work. I understand it's tough to grab each window guid and then try to "save" it, you might not get totally back to where you were, but at least the same stuff opened. Here actual website tabs were missing. It's an app to save open windows and it failed to do so.
It's a good start, but a lot of updates to be made to be consistent enough for future licenses.

Always a great array of apps to help me align my desktop better. I am a desktop clutterer and this helped me immesly and was very intuitive to use.

Excellent software. Can configure the look of your PC in many ways. Thank you.

I would have given it 5 stars but like a lot of software developers they have decided to make it a subscription service instead of just purchasing it outright which is just legalized theft
Why should anybody have to keep coughing up money year for year for such an incredibly basic program is beyond me, once you have purchased a licence you own it, not just own it for 365 days, nonsense
