⭐️ 1 Star – Wish I Could Rate It Lower
Staples (Pembroke, ON)
If you’re looking for a place to buy disappointment and attitude with a side of dusty shelves, congratulations, you’ve found it.
Every visit feels like walking into a group project where no one showed up.
There’s never enough staff, the store is a mess, and if you actually need help? Good luck finding someone who doesn’t pretend you’re invisible while they “zone” the same shelf for twenty minutes.
The Stores Vibe? Somewhere between “we’ve given up” and “don’t ask us anything.”
Management? Snotty at best, outright rude at worst.
The Floors? Honestly, I’ve seen cleaner parking lots
Trying to get something printed? Bring a tent. You’re gonna be there a while.
If I could give negative stars, I would.
This place is like walking into a half-lit storage unit with Wi-Fi and a sign out front pretending it’s still a functioning business.
Looking for help? You’ll get more support from a Tim’s drive-thru during a snowstorm.
It’s wild that a business built around “making work easier” somehow makes even shopping feel like a full-time job.
Save your gas, your patience, and your mental health. Shop anywhere else.
Hell, support a local print shop and buy your pens at Dollarama, at least you’ll leave with your dignity.
Do better, Staples.
Sincerely,
A very unimpressed Canadian who still somehow said “thanks” on the way out 🙄
Cancel transaction and tell me to buy again
I bought a ps5 controller during a sale. They try to deliver it once, leave a paper saying well try again tomorrow.
I leave work early to make sure im there.
They end up cancelling the transaction refunding me tellin me to just buy it again so they can deliver it, what is even that 😂. guess what, its not on sale anymore.
Very Bad experience-staples shoppers world Brampton
The store associates at Staples located in Shoppers World Brampton are very rude. They rush customers to use the equipments quickly without any concern or offering to help. The ones who are renting the computers and other equipment help only their own community. They talk rudely when asking them for help or they just ignore. This Staples Store has lost it’s charm due to these new employees
Business cards looked bad and were not done when promised
I ordered custom business cards using their online service. I added a logo saved as a png file and altered the background color of the png using the "eyedropper" tool to match the background color of the business card (off-white) as my file did not have a transparent background. In the picture I reviewed online, the png file background was indistinguishable from the background of the card. When I picked up the cards, the background color of the logo png did not match. I am debating just throwing them out. It may be better to give prospective employers my contact another way then to hand out a sloppy business card suggesting that I do not care about the details.
I also paid for same day delivery of the business cards. The site said if the order was placed before noon, they would be ready by the end of that day and instructed to wait for an email to notify when ready to pick up. This cost extra. By mid the next day I still had not received notice that they were ready. I called and was told I could come in then to get them and they very reluctantly refunded the extra fee I paid.
Good service but they can get much better
Nice merchandise but some times the services are slow.
If I could give zero...
If I could give zero, I would. Paid for same day printing, took three days. When I picked up the order, I was supposed to have ten copies of an 11x17 small poster. Instead, they'd printed a single copy of an 18x24 poster, on different paper than requested. Took two days (the entire weekend) to get a response from customer service - only to be told to go back to the store to ask for a reprint. Since I'd already missed my deadline to have the posters up, that wasn't happening - refund, please.
Bankruptcy awaits
Went online to use their same day printing service, uploaded a file under "UPLOAD FILES FOR SAME DAY PRINTS" and checked out. Called customer service (Aurora store in ON) to see where my order was but was told the order says it's regular service oppose to same day. I told them my ordering process and the manager was gaslighting me saying that if I had chosen same day service, the total would not be so cheap. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS? What's worst was when I expressed my frustration, they again trying to gaslight me saying I was using harsh language. I only raised my voice! I was in front of my kids so I didn't even use any inappropriate languages (how I wish I did)!
There were NO checkbox during checkout to select same day or regular print nor does it say I've ordered regular service in my confirmation email, I would assume that by me uploading under the tab that says SAME DAY PRINT would prompt me to this service.
Never again would I print, ship, shop from Staples. I hope they go bankrupt soon.
False promise and charging more
Recently took shipping service from Staples center at Pinebush Road, Cambridge. In the name of quickest deluvery we were charged more. But package was not even handed over to Fedex by the promised time. When we went back to check the reasons we were told it is due to system not considering the holidays. And for further info call FedEx. It would be good for Staples to provide realistic time-line tonits customer and not charge more with false promise.
The web site is not clear where the package was to be delivered
The web site is not clear where the delivery should be sent. I very clearly believe that I had the parcel to be delivered to my house (I gave the address etc) , and instead they delivered it to the store in Barrie. I was told they deliver it to my home which was one reason I ordered from them. Next time, it will be Amazon who gets my business. They deliver to my door.

I went in to get ink and Steve helped me out, fantastic! Then we spoke with Rohit and Ayman, and they got my daughter a fantastic deal on a new phone and phone plan. There was no hesitation and they knew there stuff and excellent customer service. Kudos to Steve, Rohit and Ayman you guys were amazing!!!!
Do not buy Staples brand products
The store and its employees are not the problem. The Staples brand products are a huge problem. They are such poor quality. I have quite literally returned every single item I've ever purchased that was Staples brand. I ordered a pack of pens and literally every single pen bled ink all over my hands, the paper I was writing on and one even dripped onto my expensive rug. I thought it may have just been a bad pack so I bought another pack, and it happened again with every single pen. The frustration of getting pen ink all over your hands, your accounting books and your carpet is a frustration that I can only describe as extremely disappointing. I will never purchase a Staples product again And I tell everybody I know not to purchase their products as well.

Thank you for hiring Jessica as an employee at your Junction location. She was invaluable, knowledgeable, and went out of her way to help me. I am definitely going to visit this location again!
Gratefully Dawna

Purchased a duo black/tri color HP ink cartridge for $156! While in desperate need for printing.
Days later a “compatible product” was being offered on line for $43
I find it unconscionable that a company on behalf of HP would rip off its customers without offering a price choice.
Website adds items not wantedGarbage Service
Website adds items not wanted. Charged for items not wanted. Email Cutomer service no response
Staff great. Website really bad.
I needed to have some sheet labels printed. Staff at the Toronto Artshoppe location were great. But the website was very difficult to use. The interface for setting up the labels was unintuitive and difficult to understand. Two things stood out particularly:
You had to enter text into each of the eight labels on a sheet individually. There was no option I could find to simply repeat the text I had entered in one label in the rest of them. Since most people are going to want the same text on all their labels, this would seem to be a no brainer.
Even worst, the copy and past function was bizarre. I would copy the text from one label, then click on another to past it there, but when I did so, the paste would happen on the label I had copied from, rather than the one I had clicked on. So the text would be doubled up on the label I had copied from. I eventually learned that this pasted text was in a text box that I could drag to the label where I wanted it, but this was far from obvious, and a pain. I have never seen other software with this approach to a simple copy and paste.
There were many other confusing things about the website. You really need to fix it.
I went to Staples in person first and asked a staff member if he could set up the label for me (it was only three words on each label) but he said he couldn't: I would have to use the webtite. The moment I heard this I knew what I was in for. I just knew the website was going to be a pain to figure out. Why are so many large companies unable to create websites that are simple and intuitive?
Customer service manager behavior in…
Customer service manager behavior in staples Sydney was very unprofessional and not customer centric. Unethical practice is following, every customer have right to check the valuable item after making the payment but the manager in that branch is giving excuses to avoid customer to check item configuration, simply its a matter of 5 mins but bcoz of his unusual behavior staples lost a 1000$ sale. So advise all buyers to be very vigilant before making any purchase any electronic items from staples. Its your valuable money and time. Bcoz after making purchase they are not even bothered to provide post service. Such a pity service. Sorry to say this
Just bad from beginning to end
Just bad from beginning to end. Purchased defective office furniture, was told to call Staples customer service, which is in the United States, who issued a gift card to repurchase the broken item, but you can't use the gift card because the item is not in store. You can only use the gift card in store. They will not order the product for you to the store, it is on-line only. So the entire process was a huge waste of time. Got the run around for over a week, and in the end there was zero resolution. The last person I spoke to disconnected our call by putting me through to some random store, i guess hoping they'd just deal with it.
Terrible service
Terrible service. Need help and no one helps me for the last 20 minutes waiting for service.
Then the sale person told me to come back later.
A delightful experience!
When I got to the print counter, Betty was super busy with a long line of customers. She called Richard, the Manager, to help me download a document on my IPhone so I could enlarge and print one page of the document. Richard was amazing! He patiently figured out how to do this - even apologized for it taking a bit of time which was not a problem at all. He was super kind and helpful. He then handed me back to Betty to complete my order. She asked if I wanted borders which I hadn't thought of but did want and we discussed the best type of finish. She printed paper copies right then and there and said the copy on a poster board would be ready at noon the following day. Betty was also super kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The manager and staff in this store go above and beyond with great customer service! They made an otherwise stressful experience (figuring out technology so I could order enlarged prints) quite delightful. Thank you so much!
