Return rates far to high

Ordered from Germany. Needed to send back as shoes did not fit. I was forced to use the company provider for return. There the postal rate has been 16€ instead of usual 7 € with DHL to Ratingen in Germany.
That makes it to risky for me to order shoes at SportsShoes again. Sorry for that.

Disappointed with product and returns experience

Disappointing experience. I purchased a waterproof running jacket. For the price the product is poor quality. To make matters worse, they only offer one return option, and you have to pay for it yourself, no matter what the issue is —and it is incredibly expensive. I won't be shopping here again.

From what we can see on your order, the issue was with the size, not the product quality, as this was exchanged for a smaller size. If there are ever issues with the product itself, we kindly ask customers to reach out to our customer service team in order for us to investigate, as we want to make sure that our customers receive a good quality product each time they shop with us.

We do offer free exchanges, which means that when an exchange is requested, the replacement item is sent out with free postage. However, as stated on our website, the cost of returning the original item is chargeable unless the product is found to be faulty. This return charge covers the carrier fee for sending the item back to us as well as insurance so that we are able to assist in case of any issues.

We genuinely aim to be transparent about these costs while keeping our overall pricing as competitive as possible. That said, we’re sorry that the policy wasn’t what you were hoping for and that it affected your experience with us.

Shame about the retailer’s delivery service

Edit: As a result of my comments below about the poor service from Evri, SportsShoes.com have kindly refunded the delivery charge. Thank you for this gesture of goodwill.

Great service and price from SportsShoes.com, however their chosen delivery company let them down. Why companies chose to use Evri, I don’t know. I received an email on Tuesday to say my item was out for delivery & I just knew it wouldn’t arrive that day. Evri always say they have attempted delivery and it is a bare-faced lie as the delivery address is a business address! So, as always with Evri, no attempt was actually made at all and then 2 days later the item was finally delivered but no email or text was sent to advise this, so I didn’t realise until today (Friday) when I checked the status.

Knowing that SportShoes use Evri will make me think carefully about ordering from them again which is a shame because I am actually really happy with my purchase and the price I paid.
