My Solidor was installed by Optimus Windows And Doors Ltd in Plymouth. The door is a high quality product and the installers were excellent, very professional, a pleasure to have working in my home and left everything spotless when they left. Highly recommended.

Door fitting was great, door not so
Door fitting was great, unfortunately the quality of the door isn’t great and I don’t think it will be long before we have to use the warranty.

I don't recommend them to anyone.
I recently bought a new door from them. It was very expensive and installed by an installer they approved. The door is leaking inside. The installer won't respond to emails or do anything about it, and Solidor says there's no warranty on the door. The installer can only provide a warranty. So I'm left with a leaking door. I don't recommend them to anyone.

High Level Professional Service
From start to finish, Solidor and their team provided an excellent service. Some even went above and beyond! We needed a door quickly after being burgled and It wasn't long before our design was quickly shaped up and processed. We were kept in the loop the whole way with fantastic communication. Thanks to Paul, the engineer who came to fit the door, who did a cracking job. The door has well and truly put a fresh face to our home. We now feel safe and secure with the quality of finish. Beautiful solid doors. This is my second Solidor, chosen because I was impressed with the quality of the one I had at my previous house. I wouldn’t choose any other front door as I want quality and security.

Spec delivered was different to what was requested on website
Solidor website allows most items to be configured but not all. Lock position is one of the items which cannot be chosen via the configurator, hence we assumed that 'standard' (i.e. middle) as per the brochure would have been what was supplied. Somewhere in the process, standard got switched for heritage (high level) and as the mock-ups are for illustration only this still showed the lock in the middle. Solidor are refusing to replace the door slab, or offer a token % refund for this. Their argument is that the spec was clear, but from my side the website doesn't offer this option, the illustration is incorrect and most people order doors every 10-20 years so this is for sure not obvious. High level lock is a safety issue as kids or wheelchair users cannot unlock the door in an emergency to escape. In addition the glass was marked, the door was scratched, the wool brushes were bent and the door catches. It's a shame because the overall product I would say is reasonable, but let down by some quality control issues and a lack of customer service to compensate for issues in their systems, please fix your configurator tool or handover process to your partners... In the meantime, buyers avoid or at least be aware of this topic.

Regarding the quality concerns (scratches, marked glass, bent brushes, and door catching), this is not the standard we aim for. While our team believed the specification was correct, we appreciate that most customers only purchase doors every 10–20 years, so these details should be obvious and easy to confirm.
