Snagajob Complaint

Snagajob is an India based scammer. There are jobs posted on its website from decades ago that keep getting recycled as new jobs. Plus, the telephone number listed at the top of its website no longer works and neither does its contact page. And there are also too many old jobs posted with bogus contact information. I am not even sure Snagajob is still in business as no one ever answers the one telephone number that does work. There is obviously something not right with Snagajob.

And this reply I just got today 11/28/25 is a big, fat lie:

DO NO FILL OUT GOOGLE DOCS AT THE GET GO!

I applied for a position with a company posted on Snagajob. I heard from that company that same afternoon. (First red flag.) This person used an OUTLOOK email, and did not have the company as the domain name. (2nd red flag) The company representative (CRep) sent me a form (Google Doc) to fill out; it asked for name, email, address - all of which was available on my resume, so I completed those sections. However, it also asked for my birthday and my social security number - I provided NEITHER of those. (3rd red flag.) The CRep was displeased and told me my form could not be processed unless all data was provided. I told that person that I was not going to provide my birthdate or SSN unless and until I was offered a position and needed to fill out the appropriate tax forms. Long story short, I played along and this turned out to be a SCAM and I was fortunate to have had the good sense to not provide that sensitive information. If you hear from someone requiring sensitive information (i.e., birthdate and social security number) right off the bat, DO NOT FILL IT OUT!!!

Can't get past their high security cloudflare, and it looks like they are scam company

Well I'm glad their cloud flare was turned up sooo high that I never made it past that page because after reading all of these reviews, it's clear they are a scam company.

I'm hiring freelancers and it's been very hard to find companies that allow me to hire and pay on their platform, but don't force me to ONLY communicate through their platform.

I'm a company. I will decide how I communicate with my staffers, not the site that brought the freelancer to me.

The tyranny online and offline continues.

The search results are not accurate

The search results are not accurate. I see job postings for the same place and position every day on the site and every time it says it was just posted. I call the businesses to verify if the posting is accurate and I'm told the position has been filled over a month ago.

$89 for NOTHING!

We wasted $89 to list a job as an employer for one month. We receive one applicant! One applicant in a MONTH! To top it off, that person wasn't even qualified. Such a waste! By the way, when you first sign up, it seems like it's going to be free. It is not. I would have been better off investing that $89 into one of the major platforms we are already on. Lesson learned!

I can't give this a lower review

I can't give this a lower review, 1 star is too good for this company. I was job hunting and came across a job for a dental company, one I came to find doesn't even exist. I found a similar listing and clicked on that as well. It listed the same company (Northpark Dental) but with a different address. I ended up finding this job listed multiple times on Snagajob, each with a different company address, so I investigated. I googled the company and it didn't show the address in the listing for my area (weird...) so I went back to the listing on snagajob and got all the addresses and Google them. Northpark Dental was made up and every address on these listing posted was an address for a bank in said city. I had already filled out an application and am so pissed man...Bunch of scammers. Don't use Snagajob, SO many scam listing with phony info. Fake companies. Very disappointing.

Steer Clear; Sneaky Players

I have nothing but disdain for loser websites like this. You sign up, go through all the motions of filling out the necessary stuff, then once you finally make an account and post, you have to pay an exorbitant amount of money.

Ridiculous nonsense and I will advise everyone to steer clear from scammy websites like this. Clearly, they are not confident in their services. Why be sneaky if you have confidence you can get users jobs and upgrade them?
