Always able to find Pokemon TCG…
Always able to find Pokemon TCG products at there stores. Normally drops stock on Fridays depending on where you live. Definitely coming back in the future.
Check you are getting your preorder…
Check you are getting your preorder bonus gifts when collecting video games at Smyths Toystore.
I was scammed by getting only half of the gift for purchasing StarFox for the Nintendo Switch 2.
This happened at their Biggleswade store. It if not the first time this has happened there either.

Think the consumer rights act is optional
Management seem to think company policy overrides the consumer rights act. This sentiment is also noted in other reviews on here. Will simply just shop elsewhere
Delivered my package to wrong address
Delivered my package to wrong address. Tried to call me a liar and privided geocoded/gps proof and proof via photo. Explained the geocoding was not my house and the front door colour was not the same. Offered no redress or refund. Have had to make a formal comlaint under consume rights act 2015. Terrible service and advise all to stay away from this shambles of a business they dont know how to treat honest customers correctly.
First order, never again
First order, never again.
I ordered an item for collection, money taken, order confirmed no problems so it seemed.
Received an email this morning saying they are unable to secure stock, check the website, they are still advertising 5+ available for pickup.
not a good first experience, do better
Absent customer service
They sell collectible toys yet regularly send damaged items. Fine, but worse is the after-sales service where you have to go through several stages of contact until you can get through to a real human, and then you may as well not have as they're almost as useless.
Awful customer service
I’m so frustrated at this.
I ordered £60 worth of goods from Smyths online.
The courier they used left the parcel at my front door in my block of flats and it has gone missing.
After I spoke to the help team, they said the courier left it at my front door with a picture and this is proof of delivery??? and it was my responsibility to ensure I was in to receive the parcel.
Under the consumer rights act 2015 this is wrong and just poor customer service.
So i’ve just gotta say goodbye money for there mistake?
Absolutely awful service
Smyths parcel delivered to the wrong address
I ordered a number of toys online from their UK store for a five year olds birthday. Received all the relevant emails about the parcel being dispatched and the dispatch company successfully delivering the parcel.
Was then contacted by the child’s Mum to say the parcel never arrived. After a lot of difficulty I contacted the courier company who sent me a photo of the parcel being delivered to a man&a property I didn’t recognise. The courier company - Yodel - couldn’t have cared less that they delivered the parcel to the wrong address.
Now Smyths are insisting it was delivered to the right address and sent me the same photo of it being delivered to the wrong address. Totally exasperating dealing with Smyths and Yodel.
Avoid if you can, totally unreliable courier service and useless customer service
All in All a very pleasant experience
My son and daugter in law chose the travel system that they wanted and and we went to purchase it for them from the shop in Luton. The staff were brilliant. Approached by a member of staff who helped us find what we were looking for and went to get it for us so we could pay. Whilst waiting another member of staff who was arriving for her shift saw us waiting and said she would be back out to help us shortly.
Items arrived at the desk all paid for with the first member of staff and the second member of staff loaded it all on to the trolley for us to take to our car.
Upon reaching the downstairs I thought we would have to go through the tills again to exit the building NO the very kind security guard let us through the entrance and offered to take the trolley back for me once loaded.
Its so nice to encounter people who actually seem to enjoy their work who were really polite, helpful and not pushing a sale on you.
Hi just to let everyone know out…its terrible
Hi just to let everyone know out there, for people thats wanting a trampoline for their kids make sure you have been on steroids for the last 3 years to put it together. I got a 12foot by 8 foot trampoline and I wouldn't recommend this service is absolutely diabolical. This trampoline is terrible

Smyth’s in Slough is corrupt
Smyth’s in Slough is corrupt. They show 15+ stock updated at 11pm and when the shop opens at 10am everything is gone. Staff are buying and selling to their friends.
Purchased a pram for £500
Purchased a pram for £500 , delivery was quick and arrived fine . Found out today it's on sale for £100 less ?! Contacted Smyths customer service to be told we have to travel 1h20 to get a refund and buy another one ??! Surely they could just refund the difference?! Ridiculous customer service , won't be buying from them again . Unhappy customer.
Nearly didn't buy from them because of…
Nearly didn't buy from them because of the reviews here so was motivated to leave our own - bought a water table on line and arrived less than 48 hours later. Would recommend and happily purchase from again online
Support with assembly
I did an on line order yesterday to collect today for a toddler tricycle. As I was taking my granddaughter out. On arrival to collect, I asked if someone was able to assist me with the assembly. I was told no and that they wasn’t allowed as they were not insured. I then suggested that I would open the parcel and that maybe it would be a simple erection that I could do myself. I was then informed that if I opened the box, I wasn’t able to return. No good will whatsoever. I was even prepared to pay an additional fee, without success. What the hell has happened to common sense and a little bit of good will. 😡
Long queue for pokemon cards
Long queue for pokemon cards. Should do invites only.
Very poor online returns experience
Very poor online returns experience.
My return was confirmed as delivered and Smyths also confirmed receipt, yet I was still asked to prove I had returned it. I provided the requested details and evidence, but instead of resolving the refund, I was told to wait 5 working days, then 7 working days, and now another 7 working days while the case is passed between departments.
More than two weeks later, I am still chasing a refund for a return they have already confirmed receiving. There seems to be no communication between departments, and the customer is left chasing the issue.
Very frustrating and disappointing. I would be hesitant to order from Smyths online again.
Toy Story even
I’m not writing to complain, but rather to highlight the inconsistency we experienced with your Toy Story naming event.
My daughter, Jessica, has recently undergone heart surgery and today was her first day out of the house. We had heard about the Toy Story naming event and, as she was dressed as Jessie, we hoped she would be able to receive her own Jessie doll.
Unfortunately, the Jessie dolls had sold out, so we chose a Rex instead. As your website stated that the offer applied to any Toy Story doll, we assumed this would still qualify. However, the store manager advised that it had to be a Jessie doll and would not honour the promotion with Rex. He also mentioned that there had been a lot of confusion from head office.
Having since seen comments on social media suggesting that children in other stores were offered a choice of Toy Story characters, we were disappointed by the inconsistency. What was meant to be a special first day out after a difficult few weeks ended on a rather sad note for my daughter.
I hope that for any future events, the terms and guidance provided to stores are clearer so that other children and families are not left disappointed.
Avoid at all costs
1/5 — Avoid. 11 months, a faulty pool, and two companies blaming each other**
We bought a pool from Smyths that turned out to be faulty. What followed was 11 months of being passed back and forth between Smyths and the manufacturer, Bestway, with neither one taking responsibility.
Smyths told us to deal with Bestway directly instead of handling it themselves as the retailer — despite the fact that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, our contract was with Smyths, not the manufacturer. Bestway then strung us along for months asking for more "evidence," at one point falsely claiming we had gone silent for nine months when in reality they hadn't contacted us at all.
When we went back to Smyths with the full correspondence trail, customer service repeatedly asked for "Smyths ticket numbers" — despite us having already explained, clearly, that no such tickets existed because Smyths never dealt with the issue directly in the first place. The same request was just repeated back to us, word for word, as if our explanation hadn't been read at all.
Nearly a year on, we still have a faulty pool, no refund, and no straight answer from either company. If you're considering buying from Smyths, or trusting a Bestway warranty, think carefully. Once something goes wrong, be prepared for months of being bounced between the two with nobody taking ownership.

I would just like to compliment Maria your deputy manager for being so helpful and polite every time I visit your store! There was a customer at the click and collect desk Tuesday morning being so rude and disrespectful to her and I felt it was only right to say she did not deserve that, I've always had a great experience in your store, it's always so tidy and organised! It's gets a 5 star review from me. Keep up the great work Maria and Staff
