I've been working with Smartdraw since 2008 and it is one of the greatest inventions. Easy to use and upgrades our site maps!!!
I don't trust just any software with what's important. ;)

Program works great very versatile, however I do need to save frequently.

I found smartdraw a great program I have used it for designing wiring diagram and mechanical appliances I have also used it for designing mechanical equipment for Railway work designing carriages and under frame work it is easy to use.

Good:
Very rich library, with plenty option to choose from!
Versatile, PC version, web version, and all in one tool. Planning, technical drawing, architecture, engineering.
Great UI interface design and simple to use.

Bad:
Some control tools, like select all the drawing and stretch from one point to increase or decrease the size of all shapes at once, it's hard or no way to perform.
Page management also not the best. No option to setup the page size, (A4, A3, Letter, or another).
CTRL + Mouse Wheel, only zoom in, I can't zoom out..
Rotation should allow us to see the symbol while rotating, and not a square around the symbol.
Missing option to join 2 or more shapes and use them as a new shape inside the drawing.
Some icons in toolbar have shades, and feel like old icons or outdated.
Export option require installing a PDF Filter, which is (NovaPDF printer) when most of the times, we already have a PDF printer in the system. this should be native.
Regarding installations and upgrades.. I upgrade to version 2018, and I'm still able to open version 2017 at the same time... so, it's not an upgrade, it's a new installation.

I`m very satfisfied with the product. SmartDraw team should be working in making this grate app in diferent languages. I`m struggling a little with the Google translation.

I've used Smartdraw for many years and keep watching it get better and better. It works so well for putting together a quick diagram or documenting a workflow. It's my go-to tool when I need to illustrate something in the materials I create, because the output is professional and doesn't look like it came from a cookie cutter. The company is fabulous to work with, and their helpdesk support is tenacious and responsive. It's a great product.

I've been using SmartDraw for about 10 years to create floor plans for my business. It's easy and fun to use. Like most people, I am torn in 100 different directions and don't have time to figure things out. When I call customer service they are kind, informative, helpful and I could only wish other companies to have such competent people. As great as the product is, it is the customer service that really stands out for me.

I have found the supporting website, download and installation to be easy. The templates are easy to understand and use. Ready right out of the box. The short tutorials are informative and have contributed to better illustrations and actions in meetings.

SmartDraw was very easy for me to use. Once I got 1 floorplan under my win, the next 2 I was able to complete very quickly. The variety of symbols is great and the ability to create walls & rooms so easily was very beneficial to me as a first time user and someone wanting to make floorplans rather quickly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who asks or is looking for a great program like this.

Mind-map is an indispensable in the initial plan of anything, and is easily adjusted as thinking changes. Need quick organisation chart? the completed job is a few minutes away. I have 10 years experience with this exceptional package, and of course I stayed the course as it developed into the new cloud version. I see there is an updated Mind map time planning tool for 2018. I cannot wait to use it.

I have been using SmartDraw since 2016 and found it to be of the user-friendly programs to use on the market today.

I was fascinated by how easy and intuitive this software was to use. I simply opened the file and chose a template I felt represented our organization, and started filling in boxes, adding assistants, extensions, multiple supports.

I ran three versions in less than 30 minutes for my side of the company. I have forwarded this software to our HR department so they can create the rest of our org chart for the balance of our company.

Really easy to use and very intuitive right from the off. I've used the product for years and whilst this is not a fully featured CAD product it allows the user to achieve pretty much everything s/he needs to produce project plans and process charts, etc. I have trained colleagues and friends to use this software and I can honestly say - on average - 10 minutes is all it takes before the user is up and running and producing what they need.

SmartDraw is amazingly simple to work with in building figures for graduate work in college and the library, which is always being updated, gives the customer a wide range of topics. Topics that go from very technical, such as wire diagrams, instrument logic, building layout, etc., all way to Project Management.

Smartdraw is 100% effective for document creation on all platforms. Awesome templates free of charge, and my most effective ideation application every time!

Fills in the gaps that exist in Visio. Layout is automatic, and what else can I say, that's the biggest issue with Visio. But, it's also so easy to share these diagrams with the team -- worth every penny.

I purchased the desktop version about a month ago and have been using it for laying out electrical details on a print. So far it is extremely easy to use and performs well. There are just a few things I would like to see them improve on. The support has been excellent. Every time I call I get immediate support and have been able to accomplish everything I need the software to do!
