Showcase Uddingston.
I am a regular cinema goer and Showcase is my local multiplex. The theaters themselves are fine, no issue there and the staff are also helpful.
Periphery stuff annoys me though.
Cineworld have a loyalty card which gives reasonable discounts to regular viewers. The Showcase Insider card i comparison holds an extremely limited value.
The food/drinks are extortionate. If you go for the popcorn do not be embarrassed to tell them to fill it up properly as they have a habit of missing out the top inch of the container. After all you are paying absolutely top dollar for it.
Email their customer services with any type of complaint and you will find they just ain't interested.
Sadly "gives us your money and shut up" is the mantra at Showcase.
Costs Alot
Comfy Seats and nice big 4k screen. But it costs WAY too much, Once spent £100 on small drinks for 2 People (+ £60 for the film)
Online Booking
The Cinemas are fine but the online booking is a disaster. It constantly stalls with errors and on one occasion took the money twice! The phone booking costs 13p a minute and also doesn't work. Somebody needs a good IT man
The Nottingham showcase de lux is so …
The Nottingham showcase de lux is so much better since the revamp. Our 4 children love sunday matinees at this cinema now, the fancy seats are just brilliant!
Potential for excellence but not there yet
Southampton has a new Showcase.
Plus points are prices were reasonable, screen and sound superb and business class style airline seats very comfortable. Staff friendly.
Cons the rows have mini walls between them and so contribute to a sense of coolness (lack of warmth) which is echoed in the reception bar area. Escalators are separated so you cannot easily go up and down both floors and signage is not good in the cinema and outside to guide you.
So has potential to be amazing but needs a bit of interior design warmth to really make it work.
Seating
The showcase Leeds de lux is really good very comfortable to watch a film . although seat numbers are allocated nearly every time we go (we go every Wednesday afternoon) some one is always sat in our seats . The numbers are hard to see BUT The numbering system is wrong as you enter the cinema the first seat on the row should be one . So people can count along . It is the other way round . People get quite abusive some you don't dare ask them to move .
Derby Cinema De Lux Intu Center
Went to see Rogue one in Directors hall! Had the worst experience ever! This ignorant bloke and his girlfriend sat behind me constantly making food noises. Crunching, slurping, rustling and then he played with his phone and constantly spoke! One bloke asked him to stop but the ignoramus threatened him! I will not pay Directors Hall prices ever again after this! I can understand why people download films now!
very bad experience
bought nachos combo very expensive only choice of 2 sauces the cheese sauce tasted of soap and when we swapped it for salsa it was very salty complained to boy about the quality and variety and price and told him odeon give you sour cream guacamole and the cheese sauce is so much better he told me odeon can afford to give more sauces and charge less because they are busier .Maybe they are busier because of the poor tasting food you are selling .we have now came into film and several seats are broken we have spent almost £40 for 2 of us and we are left disappointed before the film is even started .

Quick service, good customer service always enjoy coming here
Showcase Reading - a new cinema experience
Went to Showcase, Reading, yesterday and I must say I was very impressed with this newly refurbished cinema. Free parking, electric reclining leather seats, I've never had so much space. To top that there is Costco coffee shop and an excellent range of snacks. Great customer service, easy to book online. No more Vue fro me.
Shocking!!
We went to see the new bond film at 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon. only to be among a very loud group of people talking laughing and using very bad language. Our chairs were repeatedly kicked and feet were placed beside our heads. We found ourselves intimidated and unable to carry on watching the presentation.
When we asked for the assistance of the management they where disinterested and unwilling to resolve the situation to our satisfaction. We was told No refund as more then 20 minutes into movie, but instead given two scruffy raffle ticket type emergency tickets. I had paid for premium seats and was looking forward to " the ultimate entertainment experience" that showcase aim to provide.
For me the customer service was terrible. We left not receiving what we had paid for while the "disruptive group" continued their mayhem inside. I am extremely disappointed in showcase and it's Manager in training" Jasmine.
clean facilties and airy
Lots of free carparking ....some days it is dead as a dodo and no one goes. But the staff are not in your face and its a laid back atmosphere. Nice large and airy cinemas usually very clean with good wheelchair access points and fire exits clearly marked. Food is available hot or cold but way too dear. staff dont give a monkies if you bring your own snacks in either. It is brill now its DIGITAL projection and surround sound, no more big white shafts of light with dust in the centre and wee wriggly dusty bits like worms on the screen and sound is awesome.
