Moved my businesses online shop to Shopblocks earlier this year after a nightmare with Shopify (don’t believe the hype).

Received a cold call at a time I was looking at options so accepted their offer of an online demonstration. The salesman who did the demo was informative, answered all my questions with working examples, and was not at all pushy.

I had expected the cost to be much higher based on my previous experience so was slightly nervous of proceeding but very glad I did now.

They had estimated 6 weeks to setup the site, ended up being around 10 weeks but partly my fault as I made some changes to our products and it was also Christmas time.

A Shopblocks designer did a custom design (no theme), one of their technical team did a complete data migration from Shopify, which, having done this myself when moving to Shopify, was a massive plus point.

We’ve been live 2 months now and we’re starting to see some of our organic search positions and results improve, like the salesman said they would.

We have one bill, no extra costs for functionality. And we’ve gone on Shopblocks Pay which is about 1% cheaper than Shopify Pay.

I’ve dealt with half a dozen different people at Shopblocks and they have all been brilliant.

If you want a proper service to help with your business I would highly recommend Shopblocks.

Back in Feb I got a generic email from Charlotte. Saw they were Manchester based like me so thought I’d give it a try. We are only a small restaurant and tried a website just to go online because of lockdown. I’d made one with Wix but it was useless for online ordering. So far the new website is going well and has been inexpensive.
Anything is better then Deliveroo and UberEats fees. Turn around time was surprisingly faster than expected. Thanks to Ibby from the design team

I moved over to Shopblocks just over 6 months ago, they managed to bring across all of my products and modernise my old template website. I've not had any problems at all to date and they are always available over the phone should I need them.

Moved to Shop blocks from Shopify. They’re available on the phone (in UK) at no extra cost. Really pleased I moved.

Was sold this as an alternative to the Shopify store that is more flexible. the second promise was that we would be up and live within 6 weeks, we are now on Week 19 and we are still waiting for some code to be changed after weeks and weeks of promises it would be done by the end of the week.

Yes this may save us money, but it costing me time to chase and chase for an answer.

The actual design principle of the site is good but the time taken to implement has been too long hence the 1 star review.

They have also now taken payment for my subscription with outstanding work.

Our new Webstore went live a month ago with Shopblocks and I can not speak high enough of them. We were quoted 20x what we paid Shopblocks by our old Magento developers and the end result is already delivering better revenue. They have linked up our inventory, and our Amazon account - something we had struggles on Magento.

I paid $750 in 4 installments for my website to be built. It should be an easy built as I provided all the details. After my 4th and last installment of $187.50, I haven't hear back from them. I've reached out to Shopblocks support team 4 times in the past month and have not heard back once.

My website build that is now fully paid for ($750) is long overdue and no one is letting me know of its status. This is very unprofessional!

If I do not hear back from them soon with great news, and some sort of compensation for the long waited delay and zero communication from their part, I will just ask for a full refund and move elsewhere.

I started with Shopblocks in November after receiving repeated emails from them asking me to move from Shopify, they have only produced a very simple and poor home page Visual which would have taken a few minutes to do yet taken £450.00 for the design and setting up of the whole website. Plus they have taken 2 months payment for the running of the site which is not working in any form. I am beginning to think that Shopblocks is just a scam as they are not replying to my emails at all and no activity on the website has taken place. I have requested my money back and Hoping that Barclaycard will be able to help.

I am small business starting out. I did initially struggle with regards to finding a website builder that would suit my company. Shopblocks have been absolutely amazing as well as professional. The Website was actually launched a couple of days before the initial deadline. As a customer I felt that they were listening to me, if I had a query or needed to do some changes, it was dealt with promptly. Even now that my website is launched, they are still giving me the same level of service!! What an amazing team you have. I was given an option of 30 days money back guaranteed. I wrote a review about the unremitting spam from this company before and they had it taken down (Shopblocks reported this review 8/3/2020 3:05 PM for violating Trustpilot guidelines) but having received more of their spam I feel the need to review once more.

They are spamming an email address that has NEVER been submitted to any mailing list and has been harvested from my website in breach of GDPR.

For a company that aims to charge customers £39 per month plus a 1% transaction fee to handle confidential data and sales information I would have thought GDPR compliance would have been more of an issue.

They will now dispute this review and ask me to provide my email address to "remove from their systems".

My response is: why should I have to provide them with details they shouldn't even be using?

They should stop using their obviously illegally harvested spam database to harass people rather than asking people whose information has been stolen and abused to proactively request to be removed.

Sharing further information with a company with very dubious history in basic legal compliance around data seems unwise.

[UPDATE]
Shopblocks have again disputed the veracity of my current review and requested my personal details. Lets see if it stays up or is removed in arbitration by these scammers.

Your product clearly isn't very good if you resort to black hat marketing techniques to try and gain customers. I've received multiple spam emails from these guys over the last few years, and now they have started using the contact form on our site to spam us too.

Improve your product... Stop spamming people... Fire your marketing team

For a company who are trying to get new customers to join and, well, sell more things, it is worrying that their marketing technique is spam. If thats how THEY do business goodness only knows what they allow and except their clients to do.

Edit: as expected this review has been reported to TrustPilot "after more information". Why would I provide a company who spam me with my phone number and email?

Thankfully, however, I DO have the emails still and have sent them on to TrustPilot's Integrity team.

As I said before - do not use this company, there tactics are underhand and the way they try and 'cleanse' this is unethical.

Moved to Shopblocks from Shopify and been very happy with the whole project from start to finish. I had been looking at an option in the UK since Shopify stopped telephone support. Shopblocks have done all the hard work for me, and my shop has never looked better. Looking forward to a successful 2021!
