We’ve been around since 2005, and a lot has changed since then, we not only insure your car but also your home and holidays. Did you know kids who permanently live with you go free on all our travel policies? Up to the age of 22 if they’re in fulltime education! Oh, and our biggest kept secret it that we insure men on all our insurance products, and always have done!

I had been misinformed that my…

I had been misinformed that my insurance was due so paid for a yrs insurance for 1 day and got charged £29 for the privilege of having to cancel? How's that fair? The price for cancellation is a bit extortionate for only 1 day. I was going to go with them when it's due but seriously thinking against it now?

First time multi car set up frustrating

You can't talk to anyone to set up your cover, you have to do it online. All phone numbers tell you to do just that, then cut off. You can't set up multi car unless you set up an account first and pay for one car, so you have no idea how expensive the second car will be unless you set up your first car. Then when setting up your second car, you have to provide a separate email address as it wont accept my email address of the first account. So now I have 2 policies rather than one over 2 different email addresses. I'll stay with Sheila this year as it was such a faff to set up, but next year I'll be going elsewhere. Not user friendly at all. It feels like Sheila's wheels cut staff in favour for online instead, so customer service is reduced significantly. That's not what I look for in a car insurance provider. So will be moving next year.

Easy to sign up via Go Compare but lacked forethought .

Easy to sign up via Go Compare.
Your availability of key phone numbers for Claims and Breakdown Service was poor.
Other companies have the key phone numbers right there on joining .
It took me an extra session to find them after joining Sheilas Wheels.
Time consuming and shows a lack of forethought for new customers from SW.

Value for money

Very easy to complete details and the help on chatbot was very useful. Compared to other insurance providers the price is very reasonable.
