If I could I would give SDA zero and the same for Poste Italiane who handles queries on behalf of SDA. Originally shipped from the Netherlands by DHL my parcel correctly addressed, has never arrived, apparently first I was not in (not true I have purposely stayed in for a week), second excuse my address does not exist ( how could they come up with the first excuse if this is the case and why have I been paying taxes for 15 years). Sent clear description of address location, photo of property, map references to customer services at Poste Italians, told to contact DHL even though parcel is at SDA Monteprandone (AP) still no parcel. Terrible companies - customer service does not exist.

I bought a motorcycle panel off ebay from a seller in Italy. After a few days the tracking info said that they could not deliver the item until customs charges were paid and that I could pay and collect my item from SDA's Operations Centre in the UK, which doesn't exist. If I hadn't found the reviews for this company on here the parcel would probably have been returned to the seller. Absolute joke that there is no information given from SDA to say that your parcel is held at a Parcelforce Depot.

Why do Amazon continue to use SDA???? A courier company that never ever delivers is totally pointless. Every single time I have a package being delivered by SDA the same thing happens. I receive a notification that nobody was home when I’m at home. Then you wait 24 hours before there’s the chance to collect from a designated collection point. It would be simpler to select a collection point from the start, given SDA never actually deliver. All other Amazon orders arrive fine but when I get the notification that SDA are involved, I’m already angry as I know what is going to happen. If I could give no stars it would have been better. A completely useless and waste of time/money company. If SDA died tomorrow it wouldn’t be soon enough.

Bought some motorbike parts via Ebay from a vendor in Italy for£500+. Checked tracking info to find the courier SDA claimed that they had tried to deliver but no one was present to to pay import taxes.
I was actually at home all day on the specified day and no attempt at delivery was made.
Contacted vendor to explain the problem and they said i needed to contact SDA UK operations centre, this is impossible as they don't have one!! There website is all in Italian. There are no contact details whatsoever.
By chance I visited Trust Pilot and found other people had exactly the same problem that my parcel will be actually with Parcelforce and that I need to contact them to pay import taxes and arrange delivery.
Contacted Parcelforce who have no record of the parcel, god knows where it is now but it is totally impossible to find out.
I have spent upteen hours on the internet, SDA are nothing more than a joke, they must be the worst courier in the world!

If your Post Italiane / SDA tracking is telling you: "Not delivered due to non-payment of duties by the recipient. Shipment sent to the SDA Operations Center for storage" , you need to call parcelforce, select tracking in the automated menu, give the tracking number three times (they won't recognise it) and then they will put you through to an operator. Explain to the operator that you have a parcel being held at a Parcel Force depot awaiting payment of customs charges, and don't have a parcelforce tracking number so they need to check manually using your postcode.
From there, they should be able to get you a reference number (and the parcelforce tracking number) so you can pay online.
Terrible service from SDA and Poste Italiane - you don't have to go through all of this with other European partners of PF

Everyone know it. If you are going to get a package by SDA in Italy, 80% of the time that package will not make it to destination. Sometimes it also happens that the driver reports that the package has been delivered while it is not true. Where do all this packages vanish ?
This company is a joke!
Did not attempt any delivery, did not leave any notes through the letterbox, if it wasn't for us we wouldn't have known that the parcel was at the local post office. No notes, no messages, no emails, nothing.
Do not give your parcels to these cowboys, please.
A total disaster!
They, along with Poste Italiane... I don't know which of the two is worse.
The app is full of bugs, making it extremely difficult to place a simple order, and the user experience was terrible! Moreover, they failed to pick up the package within the specified time. The courier claimed that the address was wrong, which was obviously a lie. In short, a disaster!

They forced me to go to the branch to ship the package (after I paid for home pickup). In the end, it arrived at the recipient's location with the contents completely destroyed!!

As if that wasn't enough, this was the response to my request for compensation: "We remind you that any anomalies must be reported to the attendant at the time of delivery. In the absence of any complaints, there are no conditions for compensation on your behalf."

Bought items online Black Friday period. Online tracking said attempted delivery failed. I was at home and no notice was left. Called SDA and opened a complaint. Went to SDA at Santarcangelo on Wednesday afternoon. The clerk told me my parcel was there but she couldn't find it because there were too many! She told me to come back on Saturday morning and she assured me that the parcel would be there. I returned on Saturday morning and the parcel had been returned to sender. There are no words to describe my anger. They are incapable of doing the job. They have no compassion for their customers. I hope that one day, they suffer the same treatment.

A Very Italian Service
It is too bad there is only a one-star option and no zero stars. This company deserves even less than zero stars. Their customer service explicitly told me "It is not their courier's job to call the recipient and not their responsibility to inform you to pick up your package." when I questioned them why there was no communication in any form. At the same time, the tracking info just changed to "failed delivery." And on the second delivery try, today, the tracking info started to become weird. In the middle of "in consegna", it suddenly changed to "in process at the SDA operation center" and then quickly moved to "left the SDA operation center." And then... SILENT... there is no information as to where it went or what is happening. The customer service, which is completely useless just kept on stressing to wait for the tracking update like a broken record. There is a chance that my package has either been lost or been returned to the sender without my consent or knowledge. WHAT A GREAT SERVICE! I was wondering why the Italian government allows such a postal service to exist let alone buy it and incorporate it into the Italian Post. Then I looked at the WWII doc paused on my screen and suddenly it all made perfect sense.
Ebay Orders/ Deliveries to UK from Italy via SDA
Tracking a delivery of a package ordered via Ebay from Italy. Delivery service is Post Italiene SDA. After several days the tracking information updates to advise a failed delivery attempt however no such attempt was made. SDA do not advise any of the customers or tracking services that the parcels that are required to pay import duties actually end up at Parcel Force depot. The tracking information provided by SDA does not work, so you need to call Parcel Force depot and provide the intended delivery address for them to give you a Parcel Force payment reference. You can then go onto the Parcel Force website, enter the reference and pay the duty/ organise delivery. SDA should really notify or advise customers who parcels are passed to and what depot to contact to release but they don't.

My parcel is stuck since 53 days is an SDA Operative center north. And the funny thing is that when I follow up on tracking number every few days it says sent from that center. But never gets anywhere. I can only wish I did not buy from a supplier that used SDA as courier.
