Unexpected £300 Charge – Aggressive Customer Service
I recently placed an order with Poltronesofa (Order No: S0058-1000503697).
I paid £129 for delivery and installation, as stated in my contract and on their official website.
However, I was later asked to pay an unexpected additional £300, which was never mentioned before signing.
When I questioned this, a staff member called from 020 8208 4090 and pressured me, even threatening to cancel my order if I did not pay immediately.
This behavior caused me significant stress. I am currently seeking resolution through the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO).
I want other customers to be aware that extra charges may be claimed aggressively even after the contract is signed.

Despite the rebranding, this company still cannot fulfill orders even after nearly five months of waiting. I placed an order and have yet to receive it. After sending several emails to their customer service team, I experienced unprofessional behaviour—they didn’t even acknowledge my messages.
A friend warned me about her bad experience, but I didn’t heed the warning. Don’t be fooled by their branding; ScS (Italian or not) it is the same old company it always has been, with shoddy management and poor customer service. The stress I have been put under has been immense and I don’t want others to be treated to the same experience

Excellent in store help on selecting our sofas. Shame when we went to pay salesperson blank us out and started a conversation with someone else. Left me with payment machine which would not work. I had to be quite abrupt in the end to get attention.

Jay took all this into account and showed us more than 1 option all to the specifications that we ask for.
There was no rushing us and he helped us find the best match for dad's needs.
So our experience was enjoyable and successful.

Fantastic Experience at Staple Corner
Had a fantastic experience at the Staples Corner store purchasing two sofas, one for me and one for my Mum. Karl looked after us, and was exceptional. He took his time and went through all the different options, explaining the pros and cons of different aspects. His knowledge and experience helped us walk away extremely happy with our choices.
The lighting in the store was a challenge as it's on the darker side, with spot lights lighting up the furniture, so it's difficult to get a true sense of how they will look in natural light.
Grand purchase of fabulous chair
We had a great time sorting and buying the recliner chair. Salesman Depak was very good and helpful guided us through the whole purchase and explained everything in detail. I would award him 5 stars. Can’t wait to get the chair. Many thanks.2,

We received fantastic service from Antonio in store. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us warmly, listened carefully to what we were looking for, and provided honest and thoughtful recommendations without any pressure. We actually visited several other companies, but returned to Antonio because we felt much more comfortable with him than other staff in other stores. His service was truly exemplary. We are currently awaiting delivery of our sofas and feel completely confident that Antonio will deal with any issues should they arise. We throughly enjoyed his company and genuinely appreciated his honesty and professionalism.
