I've been using SIS isotonic gels for years. In all these years only once did I have a problem with a shipment and SIS stepped right up and made it right. I like the evolving flavors presented while keeping the standards in stock. I always ride with an SIS gel in my left pocket. It's as much a part of my kit as gloves and sunglasses. Even if I don't need to use it, I'm happy to take it along. I've learned that I can also use SIS products for my other gym activities. I always look forward to my next shipment. Thanks for your review.
In terms of safety, the sweetener sucralose is a food additive (E 955) which has been approved for use within food and drinks based on Regulation (EC) No. 1333/2008 for a long time.
From a product development perspective, we know there’s a demand for low sugar, high protein products. Sucralose provides high impact sweetness, that facilitates reduction in sugar content. Up to this point, there are thousands of reliable scientific studies to prove sugar overconsumption is detrimental to health – there is not this level of data or proof for toxicity for sweetener consumption.
While we appreciate that ingredient preferences vary from person to person, formulation of products are carefully developed to ensure they are compliant and safe for consumption.
