What has happened to Sam’s Club?

I can’t believe what has happened to Sam’s Club service in the last couple years. They renewed someone’s membership when it wasn’t due for renewal using a credit card I do not have on file with them. Just got a charge on my CC saying it was for renewal. But they didn’t show a charge on my account. They refused to correct it or look any further into it. Thankfully my bank took care of it. Trying to get ahold of anyone in customer service is almost impossible. And lastly, they now require a CC on file with them to maintain membership!!! After the most recent obvious internal error, why on earth would I let them keep my CC number in their system??? I am so so so disappointed in Sam’s Club. Guess it’s time to bite the bullet and escape their clutches.

No special treatment

Our membership expired. We went to register it again.
I found a coupon that was pay $50 and get $30 to spend at Sam's club.
They wouldn’t honor it because it was for new members.
What about the members who have been with the company for 25/30 years?
How about showing us appreciation with a discount?

This is crazy

This is crazy. For the second time in a row, they've assigned me a pickup address on the other side of town. And they say I can't change the address; I can only cancel the order. But I don't have time to reorder. I need these groceries. It's a disgrace.

Overworked, crabby, rude greeter

Well, I wasn’t greeted with a friendly smile when I walked in to get my cart. I was greeted with an overworked, extremely crabby individual who basically attacked me for him having such a bad day. I walked in to get a cart and I went up to like three different aisles of carts all stuck together. I usually grab one myself. I don’t wait for them to hand me one. so then I just I walked up to the front of the door.
and there was three carts sitting there separated, so I went to grab one. And there was an employee way behind there like I’d say 15 feet away from the door and he sarcastically says “”thank you, you could’ve said thank you to me””, you could’ve said thank you to me”””, very sarcastically. I replied to “Arevyou talking to me”” and he just went off on a huge tangent of fruit, sarcastic words to . I replied to him, “”I’m sorry you’re having such a bad day and you had to pick me as a customer to attack””. then I said, do you know what I don’t really like your attitude towards me I’m sorry you have had a bad day”@ I said what is what is your name anyway I can see your name tag is turned backwards”” and he put his hand up to it and held his name tag so I couldn’t see his name tag. But he said his name was “Brian” whether that’s true or not I don’t know this was the Concord Sam’s Club in Concord, California. I can give you my receipt number. This happened around 4 o’clock today on March 5. My receipt says I checked out at 16:16 PM and underneath the Sam’s Club phone number is 925-687-1400, and there’s a number underneath it I don’t know if this pertains to the store number or not it says 417306612097-997. I’ve been home since like 5:15 this evening and I’ve tried repeatedly for over an hour and a half and no one answers their phone. I even contacted the store up in Vacaville California, which is like an hour north of them and I wanted to find out who your district supervisor is or district manager to speak to them about this person‘s demeanor. And they said they could not give that out and they suggested I did it would do a review so if you could have the district supervisor/manager contact me that would be great. I’ve been shopping at Sam’s Club well over 30 years and this is ridiculous when someone’s supposed to be agreed at the door and obviously had a bad day in attack. This innocent customer that walks through the door today at 4 pm and my name is Susan. Thank you.

Unauthorized membership deduction

For the past 2 years Sams Club took my membership fees out of my account WITHOUT my authorization. I went to the store and they would not give me a contact number for the cooperate office. I got online and called 1 888 746 7726 number. I could not understand the person on the phone. I asked where she was located and she said the Philippines. I just got the run around. If this is the way Sam's run ther business, I am now considering canceling my membership that I've had for at least 15 years.

Worst experience of my life

First off this place has absolutely No customer service...I was recently a victim of identity theft through scan and go...they couldn't tell me where the charges originated couldn't stop the charges as they were pending mean while I was out hundreds of dollars and they said they couldn't find the charges on my account even though this is for members only.
Absolutely a Nightmare and they lost my business for good.

Absolutely worst experience ever

Absolutely worst experience ever. Purchasing an item and the taxes charged are not for the current price, but the original not reduced price. They told me to purchase the item, then call in again to get the adjustment. Ridiculous. I asked them to adjust it first and charge my payment and everything would be right. Told they can't do that. I'm not sure how they can stay in business.

Do not buy eggs from sams

Do not buy eggs from sams. You are expected to find bad eggs within 7 days and keep the eggs and return them for a refund. And they don't give partial refunds. Found bad eggs in the back of the container after 7 day. Didn't rush back or make a special trip to attempt refund. Told me they were sorry and can't do anything for me. So much for trying to save on eggs.

This was the literally the worse…

This was the literally the worse experience I've ever had with online shopping. I was going to purchase a large screen TV from store but I couldn't fit it in my vehicle. Server desk suggested I order it from the online site and it could be delivered the next day. I did this and the Sam's site listed the arrival time as the next day. It didn't come. Checked the site and it said the order was being processed and the delivery date was unchanged. I contacted customer service and was told the order wouldn't be delivered until it was processed and it could take from 7 to 10 days to process. I attempted to cancel my order but I couldn't do this until it was processed. However, they had changed my credit card. I had to stop payment on the charge as it was pending and that cost me $34.00. I would not recomment using Sam's Club for online orders. They lie to you about delivery dates and refuse to give straight answers and unless you push them really hard.

Scam alert

Scam alert. I strongly advise against purchasing any jewelry from Samsclub.com. They are notorious for being thieves. I ordered a ring, but they sent me a cheaper one that was not the one I had ordered. The jewelry lacked tags and a barcode on the accompanying paper. Furthermore, when I contacted customer service, they repeatedly lied to me, claiming they would respond within 24-48 hours, but they kept me waiting for days. They never responded to my inquiry. Even though you paid for the item, they refuse to assist you if your membership is expired. I purchased this item less than 30 days ago. If you’re experiencing the same issue as me, please contact your bank and file a dispute. Samsclub won’t solve your problem. They’re untrusted personnel, and I’ll never renew my membership again. Don’t fall for this scam.

Horrendous experience…

I bought a beautiful wedding ring online through Sam's club app on 12/31/25.
I wasn't to happy to begin with because I was supposed to receive delivery on 1/30/26 but because of the savings we were willing to wait. I had to talk to 10 customer service representatives , a rude vender from Jewlery ex group.com manager named Andrea Ramdial and 2 managers from Sam's club online members services. One manager told me the day before it was to be delivered that I would receive the ring on the due date. It never came. I called the vendor directly 5 days after the day it was supposed to be delivered to no avail.
I finally cancelled the order.
I get better service from Temu and my deliveries come from Shanghai and Hong Kong and I receive my product within 7 days.
My ring I bought from Sam's Club was only coming from New York and they couldn't even get it to me in 30 days. I will never buy anything online from Sam's club again.

Extremely rude employee

Today I arrived in the store with my husband and service animal. Was greeted with a friendly smile and hello from a lovely lady named kendra. She informed my husband and I that for my service animal to be in the cart there needed to be a barrier between them. She suggested grabbing a cardboard box from the exit and that we would be fine. My husband proceedes to the exit door to grab one. While he’s gone this extremely rude and nasty women Molly comes over and starts yelling at me that my dog can’t be in the cart, that I need a barrier. First of all I was already politely informed of that, but she didn’t need to insert herself in something that did not pertain to her. She was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude. Not pleasant at all!

Very Bad

When I received the order and opened it to prepare for cooking, I found that two trays of crab legs were spoiled, with many black, punctured spots, and many crab legs were covered in black parasites (and yet Sam's Club staff still packed and delivered them to the customer?). I then called Sam's Club to complain, and the staff member I spoke with asked very detailed questions about the condition of the food, the order number, and the value of the two trays of crab legs (worth $71.95). She said they would issue a refund and that I didn't need to return the item.
However, today when I checked my Sam's Club account, I saw that they only refunded the money for the lobster (worth only $27.85), not the two trays of spoiled crab legs( worth $71.95). The staff who prepared the order and the staff who handled my complaint were incredibly irresponsible.
To the employee who packed the order: If you wanted to buy food for your family, would you choose spoiled or contaminated items like that to take home and eat? If not, why would you do that to a customer? (Customers are the ones who indirectly support you and your family). To the woman working in the customer service department: Were you intentionally defrauding the customer when you clearly asked for the order number, the condition of the two trays of crab legs, and their monetary value, but then chose a cheaper item to refund the customer? I sincerely hope that Sam's Club will review the attitude and service of these employees. I hope the store management will only hire decent and kind employees who are dedicated to their work and treat customers like family, instead of just doing a sloppy job that negatively impacts customers and Sam's Club's reputation.
It was a terrible experience.
