Going through LOOPS & Dishonesty to Cancel Membership.
You know we have been members of Sam's Club for many many years, and always had "good" service...etc. HOWEVER, when we called Sam's Club to cancel membership.......just got the runaround big time. We finally went online to cancel......got no where on our cell phone to cancel membership.
Finally went to our Laptop to cancel membership, believe we Cancelled membership...however then we get automatic page that says "Keep Membership," etc. We did not click on anything on that page. To us that is dishonesty & trying to keep us as members.
If we get charged for any renewal....we will have to drive 30 miles away to a store to finally C A N C E L Membership.
We also DID NOT get an email stating our membership has been cancelled.
Sam's Club...........never again, it is dishonest and tricky to us ...just to cancel Sam Club's Membership.
Sam’s takes orders that they can’t deliver
I had my family coming in from Virginia, Maryland and Florida for my wife’s 80th birthday and ordered a Members Mark precooked prime rib roast for pickup two days ahead of time, paid on line with Sam’s Master Card, and received a pickup time between 12 and 1. I drove an hour to Sam’s and when I arrived for the pick up, I was told that Sam’s cancelled my order. I had not received any notification. I tried three Sam’s locations and none had the roast. The lesson:At Sam’s, don’t assume that you will get what you order and pay for. They take orders that they can’t deliver!!!
Scrooge Manager (rude, arrogant, condescending)
Yesterday, I was in Sam's Club in Jonesboro GA to pick up an order. I decided to go in the store to see if they had creamer. I saw the 4 pack of Philadelphia cream cheese for $4.97 that the website said was not available at this store. I gladly took a pack. At the register it rang up as $7.97 with a $1 coupon, there was no one to help me so I paid the price. I found someone and advised him what occurred he told me to go to customer service, and I told him there was a line. We walked back over to the register he had just come from, and he opened the register and handed me $3 that looked like $2. I called out to him as he tried to hurry away to advise him he gave me $1 too much. He nastily said like he just finished chewing a lemon with dirt in his mouth "we do more than $500K a day in business, keep it." I guess it is easy to do $500K a day when you are overcharging $1-$5+ to consumers that don't even realize it until they get home and don't want to bother returning for a couple of dollars. Poor customer service would be an improvement over that attitude. That person has no business in that management position if they feel it is ok to react to a customer with such arrogant and condescending behavior.

I had two very bad incidences with Sam’s Club delivery service. The first incident, the driver was frustrated because “he” was lost and wasted time finding my place and then claimed the renovations in my lobby further slowed him down, so he left with my groceries. The other incidence was an incompetent driver left my groceries in the public common area and two items were stolen. I hate delivery services. I ordered a grocery wagon. I will never have my groceries delivered again!
Pathetic customer service, doesn’t value customers time & money. Doesn’t even worth a single star
Doesn’t even worth a single star. They sent me a damaged product and when I initiated the return pickup, they scheduled the pickup window multiple times made me wait without informing and no one turns up. When I called the customer care, they are rude, not responsible, no knowledge, just hung up on face. They don’t value customer’s time and money. They play with our time and 1000s of $$. I have been telling them that my credit card due is near by and i can’t convert the bill to emis as I’m returning the product and it’s hitting my credit score as my product is 2700$ no one cares. Worst ever decision I made buying their product. I made 100s of calls, emails and spoke with supervisor Cristian, executive Daniel, Jocelyn, Jam and many others. No one knows their job nor value the customer. After hours of making us wait, they hung up on face.
Sam’s Club policies and customer service are horrible Do not ever buy an auto battery at Sam’s Club!
I bought a Duracell auto battery with a 3 year warranty installed by Sam’s Club in July 2023. My car has not been starting recently unless it was jumped and since the battery was still under warranty, I went to the Sam’s Club in Moore OK and asked them to test it. I did not renew my membership in 2025 and I was told they could not service my car, not even test the battery, without a membership. I had a valid membership when I bought the battery that is still under warranty. The store manager was called and after waiting 20 minutes, he finally shows up and advises me to go purchase a membership at the customer service desk for $50 and they would test the battery and replace it if it was bad and I could then go back to customer service and get a refund. I asked him if he just realized what he said! Me and the service desk employee are supposed to waste time going through all that trouble? I asked if he could just give me a temporary complimentary membership then cancel it and he refused. After going back and forth w/the manager for awhile, I asked if I could use a relative’s membership whose last name was the same as mine and he agreed. But Sam’s would not accept a copy of their card, I would have to access their membership through the Sam’s app on my phone so they could scan the membership number off of the app. After a couple of hours, the battery in my car was tested and it was bad so Sam’s replaced it. The kicker is that the warranty for the new battery installed will be that of the old battery, so the warranty will expire in 8 months, in July of 2026! Just like Walmart, Sam’s Club policies and customer service are both horrible!
Beware of Sam’s Club Scan&Go
Beware of Sam’s Club Scan&Go. Had Sam’s Club Card for Decades, I get frustrated when they change Scan&go every 6 months. Now to use Scan&Go you’re required to use store Wi-Fi, can't use my more secure cell data. I called Sam’s Club Corp to ask why. First I got call center in El Salvador, I asked for Corporate, then transferred to Philippines. Finally got a US call center (never got Corp). They could not explain why they forced us to use store Wi-Fi. I don't know what Sam’s Club is up to, but they obviously put their own wants above the security of their customers. Very sad - Sam must be spinning in his grave.
Worst delivery system ever
Worst delivery system ever. Directions are not followed, h igh delivery fees even a required tip! Very common items are not in stock and must be shipped. You lost a customer here
They will not let you use EBT/SNAP for…
They will not let you use EBT/SNAP for online purchases. In doing so so have alienated the senior/disabled community which usually do not have the means or physical ability to go to a Sam's club to make in store purchases/shopping. Their lack of sympathy and insight is typical of a corporation that makes billions and do not take into consideration of their customer's NEEDS. So we must stop shopping in places that do this. Shop at Walmart, Food 4 Less and Aldi they allow EBT/SNAP for online shopping...
Horrible!!
Horrible experience have went there several times to get a rotisserie chicken and they were not available. I have also placed online orders for rotisserie chicken have received text messages that my order is ready for me to get there and they tell me it will be another hour. I have called several times to complain asking for someone to call me back and have never received a call back.
Should Go Out of Business
Had a cheap membership offer so i thought I’d try Sams again after trying it 10 years ago and hating it. I went twice and scanned the member code from the phone app. This time that would not work and the attendant said only the plastic card could be used. I said i signed up online and nobody said anything about needing a physical card. She shrugged, offered nothing else, I did not see any membership desk, so i left the buggy of non-perishables and walked out. Nobody there gives the first crap about customers. Cancelling this week. I detest going in a wal mart. Thought Sams was a little better. It’s not. Customer must do everything except stock the shelves. Time for sams and wal mart to disappear. Hate them so much. Sorry for the employees.

Sams is awful
Sams is awful! Worst customer service! I sent them a message and an email and i stated that i am overpaying for membership but that their lousy system doesnt allow me to downgrade to smaller membership. I got some useless response as to what i could do and today i get email saying they automatically overcharged me again! This place has gone downhill. The customer service just sucks! The website sucks! I am going to just cancel altogether and stop shopping there!
Stay far away from the Sam's Club New Port Richey Optical Center.
**Title: Ruined My Glasses and Displayed Shocking Discrimination - AWFUL Experience**
**1 Star**
This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and it comes from the Optical Center at the Sam's Club in New Port Richey. I am writing this review out of sheer frustration and disappointment.
The manager at this location completely ruined my eyeglasses. The work done on the lenses was shockingly poor and unprofessional, leaving them, misaligned, and totally unusable. A simple job that should have improved my vision instead resulted in a pair of ruined glasses.
However, the damaged glasses are only half the story. The most appalling part was the discriminatory and dismissive attitude from the same manager. I specifically communicated to them that I am on the autism spectrum and have difficulties with social communication. Instead of showing understanding or patience, the manager was condescending, impatient, and utterly disrespectful. It felt as if my condition was an inconvenience to them, and they made no effort to ensure I was comfortable or that my needs were met.
To seek resolution, I attempted to escalate this matter to the District Manager, a Mrs. Springs, at the provided number (479) 957-5692. My calls have been completely ignored, which speaks volumes about the corporate culture and the reality of Sam's Club's supposed "customer care."
In summary: the manager destroyed my property, treated me with discrimination due to my disability, and the company leadership ignores legitimate complaints. This is an unacceptable way to treat any human being, let alone a paying member.
Stay far away from the Sam's Club New Port Richey Optical Center. They do not stand by their work, and they certainly do not respect their customers.
Problematic Website Order Processing & Inefficient, Undertrained Phone Support Folks
While attempting to place a routine online order, the website repeatedly took over 10 mins to email a 6 digit MFA verification code, following hitting the PLACE ORDER button. 2 texted codes & 4 emailed codes were eventually recvd, and even though they were entered within the required 15 minute time limit (the emailed codes each taking 10 minutes or longer to arrive), the screen would say "there was a problem, try again, later". Upon calling the online order problem line, the non-native speakers had some trouble understanding the issue and even though they would promise to put me through to the Security or Fraud department, as I requested, they failed to do so, but rather continually wasted time apologizing, but never accomplishing anything useful toward discovering what the problem was, &/or what they could do, in order to resolve the situation. We all know Sam's customer service leaves something to be desired, but when folks have problems of this nature, it shouldn't be so difficult to reach an informed individual. I have placed many online orders, for both pickup and delivery, using the same card, over an extended period of time, without issue. Today, I had added a small gift card code, which they had previously provided me, for an earlier order issue, which is the only thing I did differently. It is rare that I have a need to call them, and this was a first for such an issue, but their website processing and personnel clearly warrant a failing grade, for their inability to provide any useful assistance, beyond simply wasting time apologizing, ad nauseum. It's nice to have Costco available, as a backup.
Sam's Club did an automatic draft from…
Sam's Club did an automatic draft from my account for membership fee. First of all...when did you get permission from me to do that?? I've always paid when I went to the warehouse to shop. I never signed up for an automatic draft. On top of that...they tried to get it from my daughter's card also. We're on the same account! Needless to say, I canceled my membership and demanded my money back! But I shouldn't have to do that. I should report them to the BBB.
Customer Service rivals the DMV
They got great stuff in the store...... Until you need to return it. Bought a battery, Their fancy AGM battery....Dead in a year. This is a car that does simple freeway commutes to work. First, I call to make sure they have a replacement. You cant even get in contact with the store on the phone.. It takes you to a Call Center, and I question if the call center is in the U.S. as before I was hung up on and the 2nd call had heavy foreign accents. Call center tells me the wrong hours of operation. Sooo, first trip is pointless because the garage is closed... 2nd day go to the battery center/ I learn the Sam's club card that has all of your purchase history is absolutely useless. I need a Paper Receipt in 2025 for a battery like I'm at DMV! Sooo, I walk 100 ft to the customer "care" where there's only 1 person working with the line of stay at home moms returning last weeks haul of clothes that don't fit. goodbye 20 minutes of my life waiting for that journey to end. Finally get to the Customer service rep and her 4" acrylic nails to help keep her typing capabilities at a slow malingering crawl. Get the receipt and walk back 100ft to the battery center to inefficiently move along this return. Guy at the counter is helpful he checks the battery, its dead. Fun Fact if you live in Suckafornia, they charge a $2.18 exchange fee, so don't forget your wallet! After that the fun continues... Sam's club staff are treated like children. a battery exchange requires a "Manager" to sign off, good luck finding that little peach in a reasonable amount of time! 5 minutes later, she shows up, slides her card and I can finally can walk out of Sam's Circus club after an hour of what should of taken 15minutes. I would never buy a Battery there or anything of substantial value there, because they will make it an absolute hassle to honor the warranty or return it.
