I ordered a silver sixpence from this company on 6 November 2025. I have not received it so I contacted customer service as I have not received it and it is still showing as not yet dispatched.
I received a reply from customer service to say that as I purchased it in 2024 (untrue, it was November 2025). They also told me as 90 days had gone by they are not liable and I would have to take it up with the courier (what courier? It hasn’t even been dispatched). The message from them was basically ‘get lost’.
I will definitely not be ordering anything from The Royal Mint again.

Ordered 1/4 sovereign 3 days ago. Website crashed but not before money had been taken from bank. Website no mention of transaction have tried calling. Answer machine says having technical problems with phone network, still ongoing!.
No reply to email either. Very poor service. Will wait 1 more day then hand it over to my bank to recover.
Have contacted all phone companies includin BT and they report no problems as stated by Royal Mint

Thank you Tara,
I think you missed the e-mail where I clearly stated I could not see it and where I said I would like it delivered to me.
I have looked again at my 'vaulted investments' under the heading investments and there is nothing to see, especially as I am automatically returned to the sub category Investments.
Also, despite sending e-mails to this effect, no one has bothered to message and explain why or help show me through this process.
Irrespective of the telephone system being down, this is rubbish customer service.
I recently purchased a coin from the Royal Mint, I cannot find any information on that purchase in my account, despite Royal Mint telling me it is in their vault. Nothing shown in the vault.
Money has left my account.
Now they are not responded to my e-mails and surprisingly the phone systems is down.
Buy your precious metal coin elsewhere as this organisation does not seem to be fit for purpose.

Ordered a Silver coin as a Christmas present on 16th December 2025. I have received no communication from RM since the initial order confirmation and have constantly tried chasing them via various means to no avail. The recipient is still without a gift and I have no idea of when or if the item will be sent.
It has now been over two months and there is no sign or update on my order. Please sort this out urgently as I am still waiting for a Christmas present in mid February!

How to make a Buyback with them ? I received an email with an offer ( after two requests and phone call ) , replied to them with decision of move forward since then no response again , really is that how you operate ? I thought that's a serious company , a bit shocking must say .

I decided to sell my gold back to The Royal Mint through their buyback service — gold that I originally purchased from them. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
To begin with, contacting the buyback team was incredibly difficult. It took an unreasonable amount of time just to receive a response and finally obtain my sale reference number.
Once I did, I followed all instructions exactly as stated. I delivered my gold to the designated drop-off point and received a receipt confirming the delivery. This was during a period when the price of gold was rising, so timing was important. Their website claims the process should be completed within 3 days.
However, it has now been over two weeks, and I have received no payment, no updates, and no communication whatsoever.
I have emailed repeatedly, tried calling multiple times, and their phone service is either down or unusable. Emails are ignored, and customer service provides no help at all. The complete silence is unacceptable, especially when they are holding my gold.
At this point, it genuinely feels like my gold has been taken without payment. I am losing money as gold prices are now falling, and had I known the Royal Mint would handle this so poorly, I would have sold elsewhere.
The Royal Mint’s service is misleading, slow, and untrustworthy. They do not value their customers, and judging by the number of other negative reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue.
I just hope I eventually receive my payment, because right now nothing is happening.
Avoid using their buyback service.

Bought some silver items on offer.
Pros: gorgeous items, decently priced and very well packaged.
Cons: no clue when they would be shipped, no updates until the day they were despatched and a long wait on the line to speak with the Royal Mint call centre was pointless as they had no information to share.
Troubling, has been my recent experience with this organisation. Having sent a parcel, with the track and signed for royal mail service, I was happy to see it had got to their East Ham delivery office. It was signed for and was on their premises the next day. I waited and had no email saying it had been assayed and the money would be put into my account. I rang the main number and was told they could not deal with it, through their side, and to email their Buyback team. I did so and was told they had no record of my parcel. This is not yet solved and I recently sent the post office screen print showing delivery. I have not received payment for a sale, to date, and it is now almost a month. I am writing this to warn others that currently many company's are at risk of foreclosing, as are banks, and it is troubling to contemplate that perhpsa such company's are dealing deceptively with customers just to keep their heads above water. I am no longer buying or selling to this company.
Even if they were not the bad/ late payers, (that they are), their phone service is a shambles; and the way that they relegate sales to a ' buyback' email, unconnected to the main switch board, equally shambolic.

I found the website easy to navigate. The product I ordered arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I'm very happy with product, service and price.
Royal Mint offers a great selection of precious metals from globally reputable and ethical manufacturers.
I value their anti-slavery and anti human-trafficking policies and their thorough supplier onboarding process, and procurement contracts with their suppliers to comply with all applicable anti-slavery and human trafficking legislation.
Likewise, I had to work industrious and save for a long time to afford the investment into precious metals at the current highest price level in history which I made because of the asthetic and intrinsic value of gold.
Everything from the purchasing to the express delivery through Royal Mail and communication in between went marvelous.
Thank you.
As always, great product, arrived securely and notified when it was dispatched.
I’m new to the rare metal trade but found the Royal Mint site pretty user friendly. I was able to navigate through the various modules without any issues. Love the investment guide which I was able to download and received my order without any hitches. Great first experience!
I absolutely love my Royal Mint experience! Straight forward! As a foreigner, I feel even better in participating! All products that I have bought were dispatched and received in extremely quick manner! Thank You Team!
Really easy to use website, easy to add funds and to purchase either Digi, or Bullion.
Highly recommended for investments.
Very easy to navigate the website and login pages. I was able to work out what was the best investment for me at this time and I read all the advice so I could make an informed decision.
Ordering and delivery was straight forward and all arrived safely. Very pleased with the transaction.
Freddie mercury £2 coin for the wife who’s a massive queen fan. Very happy wife. Always hassle free buying from the Royal Mint. Between myself and the Mrs we have a nice little collection.
I purchased the Concorde anniversary coin- lovely, especially as we still miss watching it fly past at 5 am to terrible noise but such beauty you could not get upset!
nicely presented, the coin looks good.
Good coms and service. Not sure why last purchase went to vault though. All sorted efficiently in the end.
