royal status should be removed they are…

royal status should be removed they are the most shocking couriers in the uk.they have cut back the delivery days for 48 hour service from five days to three and dont class items as missing undelivered for 10 days to legally cover their arses.i have stopped buying from anyone anywhere if they use royal mail as their only delivery option.they are costing sellers online millions as people want purchases to arrive on time and not keep getting messages saying TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED or DELAYED.SINCE ROYAL MAIL were sold to a foreign buyer the service has become unreliable and useless.i refuse to use this disgusting service and urge people to do the same and boycott them to force them to change

Royal Fail!

My bank dispatched a new debit card on 30.06.2026, as a replacement for a damaged card. It was finally delivered by Royal Mail…or should that be Royal Fail, on 10.07.2026! I don’t really carry much cash as my preference is to pay for everything with a debit card/contactless/Apple pay, so I was a tad stumped when I needed to withdraw £20 as a birthday gift!

These folk are great - use them.

Have recently started selling surplus items on ebay.
After some awful experiences with other service providers I will now only use Royal Mail / Parcelforce.
I do not understand how their Trustpilot rating is so low in comparison to the cowboys in the industry.

Royal mail turned up the next day to collect the item but when told the collection had been cancelled the day previous i was sent the following email saying:

Unfortunately, we couldn’t collect due to the following reasons: The parcel wasn't available when we called.

The item wasn't available as the collection was cancelled THE DAY BEFORE the issue is royal mail dont obviously look at their diaries

Sending a couple of parcels per month…

Sending a couple of parcels per month for my business I love them but hate them just as much in other areas. The online platform is my biggest hate, it’s so hard to navigate and often takes me around in circles and asking to login again when I click for order history. I haven’t yet been able to get a receipt for any transactions (probably 15 so far) I have to screenshot everything I do to prove it to my accountant. I just want a VAT receipt emailed to me after every payment. The physical side is ok for parcels only, dropping off at the post office and delivery times are ok. The letter department is almost non functional, with little being delivered 4-6 weeks late. No good for important stuff like hospital appointments or HMRC letters.

I have used royal mail to send hand made ewellery

I have used royal mail to items of handmade jewellery sending them first class to reach customers in time to send as gifts for their relatives etc. Items have not arrived on time with one item turning up 5 weeks late. I have also ordered items on line promising to be delivered the following day and again not receiving them till weeks later. Royal mail needs to get their act together. Poor service and difficult to contact for complaints

Absolutely scandalous "service". I posted two birthday cards for my son's 30th on Monday at the not inconsiderable cost of £5.10. It's now Friday and they have still not arrived. It's disgraceful. I would have been better off sending then via carrier pigeon. I will be making a complaint, although I expect it will make little difference.

They don’t even deserve one star

They don’t even deserve one star, they can’t follow simple instructions to just deliver my item to my door. It’s been disheartening, disappointing and frustrating, dealing with Royal Mail because looks like we’re expected to stay home all day waiting for a parcel you don’t even know might be delivered or not. RM !!!!

Parcel Not Collected

Had a Parcel booked to be collected by Royal Mail for a customer of mine, today 10th July 2026 at 10:40 - 13:40 from my house, this was confirmed by email from Royal Mail. However it is now 17:45 and no sign of Royal Mail or any emails with an explanation why they haven’t been to collect it as agreed! Such a poor Service and Customer Relations!
What an absolute waste of Money! I now need to explain all this to my Customer and their Parcel will now be late getting to them. I will now have to go to a Post Office and post this in person myself, wasting more money and now time! May have to change to Evri.
Do Not Trust Royal Mail with your Letters and Parcels

Delayed Delivery

Delayed Delivery:
The delivery time just kept moving backwards and backwards throughout the day. I had bad experiences before where they keep on moving the delivery until the day was finished and no parcel had turned up on my doorstep.

Are the items to be deliveres not regulated with a feasible target for the day? I honestly couldnt tell if the problem lies in work ethics, overwhelmed logistics, or anything else. I honestly have jitters everytime I get notified that my parcel is going to be handled by this company. It's just really bad. If there was half-a-star rating I would've given it that. Hope it gets even a little better :(

BING BONG! That's the sound a doorbell makes.

See that button on the door frame? That's a bell. When you press it, it alerts the person in the house that someone is at the door. Now i need to wait in for a re-delivery the next day which i may not hear if the postie doesn't ring the bell. Seems the guys just want to post a slip through the door and knock off early to enjoy the sun.
