Excellent early delivery and cat-proof packaging!
We order from Riverford—mainly sweet potatoes, fruit, and bread—and are very pleased with the service. The delivery is always early and prompt. I love that they use paper bags for the packaging, but what really impressed me is that the driver goes the extra mile to cover the food with a plastic sheet. This completely protects our delivery from the local cats before I wake up to bring it inside! Highly recommended for both the quality and the thoughtful service.
We particularly love their organic Murasaki sweet potatoes. It is currently the only place I can reliably find this variety, and the taste is exactly like the authentic sweet potatoes I've had in Japan. They also stock the vibrant all-purple ones, though they are currently out of stock - we can't wait for them to come back! Highly recommend Riverford for both their exceptional produce and their thoughtful, caring service.

I have used River ford a few times now, the website is easy to navigate, lots of choice, the food comes packaged in fully recyclable boxes which you leave out when you're next delivery is due, most importantly is that all the produce taste so much better than what you get at the supermarket, which I'd like to think means my body is receiving no nasty chemicals, but all the essential nutrients I need

I have found Riverford produce on the whole to be good. They give you plenty of storing, preparing and cooking tips, not to mention plenty of excellent recipes. Contact service is easy, friendly and hassle free. I highly recommend this company.

We are delighted with our deliveries from Riverford Organic Farmers. The fruit and veg are so fresh and delicious. The weekly newsletter with news and recipes is much appreciated. The deliveries are thoughtfully made, on time every week, and the boxes can be reused, which is great. We do not have a compost bin at home, so we can return our environmental packaging with the box to be recycled on Riverford's farm. We really appreciated our gifted cookbook. We are delighted and highly recommend Riverford Organic Farmers.

Prices have gone up and quantity/weight…
Prices have gone up and quantity/weight has gone down. They are now the most expensive Veg Box company in my experience. Such a shame but they now want profit over community.

We're very sorry to hear that you've felt the quantities in our deliveries have gone down while our prices have increased.
We weren't able to identify your details from the review you left, so we couldn't reach out to you directly. If you haven't already, please do get in touch with us here at the farm so we can put things right for you and follow this up with the relevant teams.
You're right that our prices and minimum spend increased in March this year. Our minimum spend hadn't changed for over 10 years, but with rising costs, it's no longer realistic for us to offer free delivery on orders under £20. To keep as few barriers as possible between our customers and a box of healthy, organic fruit and veg, our seasonal organic set boxes have always been excluded from the minimum spend.
The size of fresh produce can vary throughout the year depending on the season, growing conditions and weather.
We have growing specifications in place to ensure our customers are paying a fair price for the produce they receive. If you're ever unsure about, or disappointed with, the produce you've received or its value for money, please do get in touch with us at the farm so we can look into it for you.
These changes to our prices and minimum spend have allowed us to continue offering free delivery while supporting fair pay for our farmers, suppliers and co-owners.
