Richer Sounds - Plymouth Reviews 

Well, firstly, Richer Sounds is the go to when buying anything that can’t be understood by old people. The staff there are always so patient and don’t make you feel as though you are a dim-wit simply because you don’t easily catch on. It is no good whatsoever asking a bloke in Tesco or Asda, questions about TVs is it. Secondly, the Richer Sounds staff are always ready to do a deal. Now here’s the reality. I’m eighty years old and it is us oldies who are the wealthiest and able to afford stacks for electronic goodies. But technology has moved ahead of our ability to comprehend it and so we rely on people like the staff of Richer Sounds to guide us gently through the incomprehensible maze that is today’s technology. Good on them.

We walked into the store at 1515 on a Sunday as we needed a TV that we could take home that day. We had a few models in mind and Ying checked the availability very quickly. I then mentioned I was looking for a Hifi with a CD player and a turntable and asked if it was too late in the day to get this aswell. Ying said 'no problem' and we ended up getting that at the same time, all really easy as he answered all of our questions and looked after us very well.

I was not sure what cartridge to buy to fit our Denon turntable. Jay took time to explain what was available and how they would sound. On his advice I purchased 2 Ortofon Blue ( one was a gift). We are very happy as they made a tremendous improvement to our listening experience. Excellent advice. Thank you Jay.

It is a very easy website to navigate with competitive pricing. I was kept updated of the progress of my order & received a phone call when it was available for collection. There was a warm & friendly atmosphere in the Plymouth shop. I would definitely recommend Richer Sounds.

Our TV was delivered on time. It has a good picture and sound. Jamie at Richer Sounds advised how to assemble the stand keeping the screen safe so there were no worries. If you get confused with the connections Richer Sounds tell you how by email or phone so it is all easy.

Didn't go as well as it should have.
Firstly, i like Richer Sounds. I like their ethos. I've used them for years. Bought a clearance amp. Delivery was quick. Amp was dead on arrival. Had been physically checked but not checked to see if it worked. Arranging collection took a further four days. Multiple days waiting at home only for the replacement to be deliberately delayed because collection hadn't yet been arranged. Ultimately it all got sorted and the replacement was fine. But this shouldn't have happened in the first place.
