Had Stuart Johnstone in this morning to plaster two new walls, what a fantastic job he made, couldn't be happier. He was really friendly and left the room spotless when he left. Would totally recommend Richardson and Starling to everybody, they are very reliable and professional in their work.

The surveyor called today. He was exceptionally professional, took a lot of time to survey the house, even looking at areas I hadn’t highlighted. Gave me lots of good advice and set my mind at ease. I would thoroughly recommend this company, in fact they’re the only company of this type that I would consider using.

I had dampness and mould on 2 walls in my bedroom and 1 wall in living room so had to get new walls and plastered , the 2 joiners Steven and Jack , also the plasterer Ross, great guys the 3 of them , very professional at there job , did an awesome job , polite and good communication, also answered all my questions I had, they also cleaned up properly once they had finished, I can't fault them , infact if I could give them more than 5 stars I would , I highly recommend them

We have had woodworm treatment done in an old loft.
The survey was done quickly , then we took a space available quickly. The guys were really efficient, arrived on time, took care by laying plastic over carpets etc and removed everything afterwards. Pleasant guys who took care.
My only comment is the cost of the survey.
I’d recommend them. Office team is efficient and polite.

Ive had a team in fixing the damp issues and broken joists this week. Daniel, Grant and Marco have done a great job in my house. Very friendly pleasant hard working men. Tidied up great after themselves aswel. Very happy.

Mike was efficient and very helpful. He tidied up after the work was finished.

Callum and Davie were friendly and appeared knowledgeable and organised. They made sure everything was protected before starting works and kept me updated on their progress . I would happily recommend them.

RICHARDSON AND STARLING HAVE SINCE BEEN AND RECTIFIED ALL WORK TO A HIGH STARDARD.

I had work done by richardson and starling which to start with seemed fine. I had damp in my bedroom accross one wall. They said they would strip wall, insert membrane from the floor through to the attic and replaster. initial Work seemed pretty good we were happy with the communication and finished product. A couple of months went by and damp started showing just below our coving on that wall. Initial contact was fine. surveyer came out said the membrane hadn't gone up past the coving as it should have. said they would fix that for free and someone would be in touch to arrange it. About a month went by and no contact. I tried to make contact a couple of times till someone finally got back to us and said they thought the work was done. Their staff had found our spare key and let themselves into our house with no prior consent for this nor any warning they were coming. They proceeded into the attic where they cut less than a metre of lathe ( a third of the width of the damp ) and threw a slice of plastic in there on top of all the debris not meeting the existing membrane. After this I have sent an email stating how unimpressed I am with the communication and handling of this with no reply or attempt to rectify it.
Damp issue still getting worse and will no doubt have to get this fixed by another company.

Richardson and starling have since been and resolved all work to a high standard.

Great service provided. The guys Kris and Aaron kept us up to date on all bathroom work being carried out. Arrived when they said they would, tidied everything at the end of every day. Their work was faultless. Thanks guys!

Had work carried out today by Andrew and Sonny, walls were taken back to the brick to help resolve a damp issue, the brick was treated then plasterboard put on, that was then plastered and they also put new skirting on too, they were lovely guys and the work carried out has been done to a great standard! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing this kind of work carried out ☺️

Very professional and efficient service end to end. House was left immaculate after works finished.

Very high quality and good workmanship. I had rotten joists replaced, the works carried out were excellent and good attention to detail. No corners cut and finish was neat - even though once the flooring is down no one will see! True sign of great work!

Over several visits from Richardson & Starling, they exposed severe damp issues with our council property. With their backing, the council are taking steps to rectify the problem

Shaun, Zach and Ross did an amazing job and left the stairs safe and tidy.

Having been approached by a company which basically told me my roof space was falling apart & I needed immediate remedial action to halt this, at a cost of some £7000, I sought an independent review. I contacted Richardson & Starling & after paying a survey fee a surveyor called round to do an inspection of the roof space. However he inspected other areas of my house & also viewed a neighbour's roof to form a full picture of what was the likely cause of my problem. He advised that while I do have some mould it is nothing serious & gave me a few workable suggestions to stop things getting any worse. The only thing he did suggest which would cost any further outlay was the installation of an extractor fan. A matter of some £200 rather than £7000 but it is the peace of mind that the roof isn't about to collapse that is the most important thing. I felt that Mr Niven, the surveyor, was very professional & most helpful throughout the inspection. If anyone is seeking independent advice about any construction issues in their house I would certainly recommend Starling & Richardson.

Life is full of problems but one has now been sorted by Evan from Richard and Starling. The van arrived with the company logo, so no doubt what he had come to do. After he introduced himself, he went through the work he was going to do. We had a pleasant chat while he brought in his tools and put down carpet protector in the hall way. Once he had is mask on the door was closed and I left him to make as much noise as he wanted while I enjoyed the sunshine in my garden. He showed me the wall stripped of old plaster and after put up the barrier. He tied-up, and took all the rubbish away. The next day the plaster arrived cover up all his good work.

Even although it was a tough job in my kitchen and bedroom, nothing was a problem, even tidying up and protecting my newly laid carpets, mission completed on time, we’ll done guys, your company should be honoured to have you working for them, North Lanarkshire council gave you the contract and should take advice from you on how to provide an excellent service
