I ended up with my car broken down and without a ride for at least a week. I did some research and found Renty to be among the best-rated car rental companies in Ljubljana, with affordable prices, so I decided to give it a try.
I went to their website, and chose the smallest car since I don’t really need much.
I received an email from them (not just an automatically generated message, but from a real person), and everything went smoothly. As my last experience with car rental in Slovenia did not go well, I was pleasantly surprised with Renty—especially Ana, who was very kind and helpful.
So if you need a car rental in Ljubljana, Slovenia, this is the best option. It’s a local company, and you can easily visit Lake Bled or Postojna Cave.

Instead of using big international brands, I went with Renty, a local rent-a-car in Ljubljana and I’m glad I did. Good price, simple process, and no unexpected costs. This is exactly how car rental should work. Definitely my go-to rental company in Ljubljana.

Been using Renty for the past 5 months as an Erasmus student. Never had an issue, very profesionnal staff and not annoying at all with younger drivers. My stay in Slovenia would have not been the same without their services.

We got in contact by email the same day we needed a car. They responded very quickly, and we picked up the car a couple of hours later. No complications, no problems at all. Delivered the car in the afternoon by putting the keys in a box. All in all a positive experience. Renty gets our recommendation.

Fast and kind service!

We have booked the care through RENTY for my Slovenia trip. There are a few things I like to mention.

1. They don't have office at ljubljana airport so you have to wait for them to get you a car at parking. i had to wait more than one hour for getting a car. I had to call them multiple times to get status.

2. I received Peugeot 208 Car which was at decent condition except some scratches around the car.

3. As they don't have office so you have to return car at airport parking.

4. During trip car got little dent while parking and for that they said they're gonna charge €750, company said €1000 is max deductible and for small damage they can charge you anything. After discussion with them they said they will charge €600. but afterwards they didn't send me any invoice and just deducted this amount without my consent. So beware of them while booking car with this agency. They can charge any amount without your consent without sending any invoice.

I'm giving 2 star because of quality of car beyond that i didn't find RENTY a good agency.

If you need car hire in Slovenia, look no further than Renty. They were so easy to deal with and did not ask for a deposit in advance of us picking up the car. There were no hidden fees and no 'scratch' scams going on. Pick up from the airport was easy, we were met half an hour after we landed by their representative with the car. The paperwork was straightforward. We dropped off the car a week later at their city office. Again, a pleasure to deal with. The agent had a quick look around the interior and exterior of the car and took the £350 hold off my credit card, no worries. Their city office is on an industrial park outside the centre but it is only about 8 euros in a taxi into the city. I am so glad I spent the time reading reviews and finding out about Renty. I could not have been happier with this car rental company.

I came by train to ljubjana and rented a car by Renty online. When we got there they did not have the model we reserved, immidiatly they called the manager and he promised us to bring the right one to us the next day at the place we were staying. The next day they brought a free upgrade car model, a 1 hour drive to our campsite. The contact via text message was very nice and clear. 10 out of 10 best service ever!

I was trying to find a local rent a car in Ljubljana because i dont like big companyes as they always have some tricks. So i found Renty rent a car and i have give it a go. I sent them email and reply was in aprox 12h so it seemed fair all the prices and explanation. Everithing was straight forward as i like it. Staff was nice and kind, they eaven gaved me upgrade and the car was new Passat that i also like very much. So it was good service for renting a car in Ljubljana so i hope they expand to other countries also.

Hired a car for a trip, my first rental ever. Recommended by a colleague. No hidden costs, everything went smoothly, the car was great, altogether, very happy with the experience, would - and will - hire again... for X-mas :)
