Anyone renting a house using Rently will take longer to rent. You sign up pay. Go to the house and your account is paused. Happen 3 times for same house. Drove 22 miles just to waste our time and money.

My boyfriend and I have BOTH had our accounts paused. Emailed their security team multiple times and received a very vague response stating our accounts violated their guidelines. If I could give this 0 stars I would. This third party app saturates the rental market so our accounts being paused makes it even harder to find a home. These big management companies SHOULD NOT be using this app. Absolutely horrible. Every time I call I ask to speak to someone with some type of authority and its like their management team disappears into thin air. No one at this company knows whats going on ever. The biggest scam there is

My account as well as my wife's account or paused without any explanation. I tried to contact them and they said they had no way to unpause it and to email the support staff who never returned our multiple replies. The self-touring was awesome until it wasn't.

89% of the listing now are of properties that are not even available or that will say " coming soon " for months and if you call to inquire, it's been rented already. Scammers sometimes have access to the link and will try to email you leases with tons of grammatical errors.
If it's not that, you will view properties that are dirty/damaged and have dead bugs lying around or sometimes serial numbers don't even work. You will waste time and gas driving to a viewing THAT allowed you to schedule a tour, you verify your identity AND it's listed "available" all day until you arrive and try to enter the code... then an error signs pops up saying it's not available to tour, when you refresh the listing it will then show "not available." It seems so low class now like who is running this and overseeing it.
It seems anyone can list a property in any condition and rently will never update it so you will waste precious time. Most of their website listings are unavailable.
My best advice is call the management companies directly and visit their sites directly for up-to-date listings.
I am from the UK and tried to set up verification with Rently but was unable to because the system only allows people with a bank account registered in the US - needed a zip code match. Was asked to find out if i knew an American or family member (living in the US) who would put their card details online for me. Not helpful and a flawed system only fit for local rentals.
