Very happy with quality and service
I ordered a chess set from here and it arrived within 2 days securely and professionally packaged. The board ended up being too big for me. I had bought it as part of a set but when I asked, Regency Chess were happy to exchange it for a smaller board which was sold as a single item. They also pointed out I may find the pieces too crowded on the smaller board. They responded to all my emails on the same day and the refund for the difference was processed promptly. As for the product. It’s excellent. I purchased a set at the lower price range and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pieces, their finish, weight and feel. The board is beautifully crafted also and ended up being a perfect size. Definitely a little bit of luxury at an affordable price. My only niggle was the storage box (not part of the set) that I’d ordered, it was coming loose at the hinges when I received it. It still opens and closes fine and the lid is still secured to the box, it’s just a basic box so I haven’t returned it, but I have every confidence they would attempt to resolve the issue if I asked. Overall Regency Chess was a great buying experience. They offered a personal, friendly, but also very professional service. Their products are excellent I will definitely use them again.

Gorgeous chess board and prompt service
The board I ordered arrived so quickly. I had paid the extra for the quicker delivery but was relieved and delighted that it arrived so fast as it was a late purchase for my husbands birthday.
When he opened it, we were all amazed at how gorgeous the board was. I had ordered the traditional black and white with the wooden surround and it is stunning. So classic and beautifully made. Perfect gift.

I purchased a very nice chess set at "Regency Chess" a few weeks ago. Upon arrival I discovered that a few of the ebony pieces had small blemishes on them (one hairlinecracked pawn, a few issues with the polish). I indicated these issues to "Regency Chess" and was contacted immediately by Ms Paula Hillier who was very helpful and cooperative. Without any ado, I received flawless replacement pieces within 5 days. This is what I call a prompt an "unbureaucratic" service!

I was purchasing a chess set as a Christmas present.
I was purchasing a chess set as a Christmas present for my Granddaughter. I made a call to Regency Chess and spoke with Paula Hillier who was very helpful. Paula made recommendations and advice on shipping to the Channel Islands and her follow up was exceptional. Even when one chess piece was slightly damaged, Paula went the extra mile to replace it.

Beautiful weighted wooden chess pieces
Beautiful, weighted chess pieces which I am very pleased with. I bought these for my 26 year old daughter, who loves chess and loves this set. They are good quality and for the price are very good value. I would’ve liked the option of being able to buy a chess board to match and a storage box but overall I am very happy and would buy again.
