Radisson Blu Resort Gran Canaria
Radisson Blu Resort, Gran Canaria
We’ve been staying here a couple of times before and we were happy with the service.
This time we could notice that it’s not the same anymore. When we arrived at the hotel no one helped us with the luggage and no one of the 2 guys in the reception offered us anything to drink. I had to ask them if I we could get something to drink after so long flight and the he said he’ll pour some.
We as well called the hotel directly and asked if we could get the room where we stayed before and they had 0 interest of doing that. We got a room that was worse than any of the rooms we got before. Things are falling apart and destroyed. And it’s not possible to adjust the air conditioner. And on the top of it all the woman at the children’s club is doing her job poorly and is more interested to talk to the grown ups than the children.
Very disappointing experience and I don’t think we will come back anymore.
Radisson Blu - St Julians, Malta
Terrible customer service. The hotel lied to us and told us that their buffet restaurant would be open 7-days a week - we booked our stay on this basis. Upon arrival we were told that the buffet restaurant will only be open 1 day per week for dinner, and we had to make our own arrangements for dinner. This was absolutely shocking given we had a 2yr old with us and certain dietary requirements which had to be catered for - we had to find suitable restaurants to eat and pay for taxis! Radisson refused to provide any compensation even though all of this was their fault and they had lied to us.
Radisson Blu Mauritius great staff
Radisson Blu Mauritius great staff.
We just had a really good holiday here despite the Cyclone which came through this week! All the staff in reception were fantastic and really helpful, especially when we needed a late check out to manage the flight delays. The dining and bar staff were also really friendly and gave great service. Thank you.
HORROR HOLIDAY
WENT TO RADISSON AZUR BLU IN MAURITIUS FOR OUR 52ND WEDDING ANNIVERSARY DONT BELIEVE THE PHOTOS OF THE HOTEL AND ITS SURROUDINGS IT IS FILTHY EVERY WHERE BIRDS IN RESTAURANT FLYING AROUND PECKING AT PANCAKES OR POOING ON YOU AND SO MUCH MORE GOT LOADS OF PHOTOS AND VIDEOS CANT BELIEVE RADISSON HAS THIS IN ITS PORTFOLIO IT IS NOT EVEN A 1 STAR
Credit card charge
The hotel we stayed in was only average but given it was London then I didn't expect anything other really. What I don't appreciate is even though I'd fully paid for my room a month in advance, they insist on taking a £100 payment against my card which if you are lucky you get back a week after checking out - personally I think it borders on extortion- they get the use of my money for a week and I lose the use of it.
Worst experience of our lives
We stayed at Radisson Blu Marne La Vallee hotel near Disneyland Paris for New Years, just the one night. The hotel came highly recommended and Youtube clips looked good, especially the shuttle. This was important as I am disabled.
Lo and behold, last night, after the fireworks for NYE, we new it would be busy so we got out of the park immediately and were at the busstop 15 mins early. There were some people, but not a crowd yet. I use a scooter. I positioned myself in the same spot as in the afternoon, ready to board ( all went well in the afternoon, disabled first, then the rest ). The bus arrived and it was absolute mayhem, people shoving me around in my scooter trying to get past me. My husband told the driver we were there, he just plain said sorry almost full not taking you. He just let people shove in and that was it. This happened three times, everytime we mentioned it and the last time he had the nerve to tell us you have to tell him ( same driver ). He left us stranded. We had to find an Uber big enough to fit the scooter. Cost us a lot of money. Once we were at the hotel, the last bus arrived shortly after, packed to the brim. No chance he would/could take us. We reported this to the nightshift crew, he was very sorry and said the manager will take it up with us upon check out today for compensation/solution and the driver was getting a talking to.
We went to check out, the front desk sighed heavily when he saw the note and went to get the manager. She practically laughed at us, told us there was nothing she could do and tried to wave us off. She wanted to offer a solution but when asked she had no answer. All we got was leave feedback on the website. Horrible service and never experienced this discriminatory behaviour.
Also, the hotel sheets were covered in old blood spots
Never again and a little warning to those who do book and and are disabled, to account for busy times and maybe a backup plan.
Radisson Blue Ericiyes (Turkey) - expensive disappointment
Such a beautiful area and the hotel has very nice facilities, but with the exception of guest services personnel and a few other staff members, the balance of the staff understand nothing about hospitality. It’s understandable that not all the staff speak English, but then the hotel should make English speaking staff available for English-speaking guests, especially when the hotel is almost empty.
And nothing is done without payment first, which is so strange for a 4-star hotel under this brand. Not even laundry will be delivered back to the room until it’s paid for. Order room service and they want to know how you’re paying before they’ll take the order. Disappointing quality room service is then delivered and payment is taken. I’ve never stayed in a luxury hotel that won’t do a thing until you’ve paid.
You can’t eat or drink anywhere other than your hotel, because there’s nothing else around and the prices are too high for the quality, but you have no choice. high. They wanted payment in cash for some services and offered to drive me to the local ATM machine that charges a commission of 17% to convert GBP. Seems like the whole area is set up to fleece foreign visitors.
Nie wieder
We booked a large family suite at the Radisson Blu hotel for 500 euros for one night. Upon arrival, we were informed that the suite was unavailable due to an alleged accident. Instead, we were given two connected standard rooms that were subpar and unwelcoming.
Despite this disappointment, we attempted to use the hotel's swimming pool, which incurred an additional charge not mentioned beforehand. Moreover, the promised rooftop breakfast and other suite privileges were denied to us because of the downgrade.
Our complaints to the unfriendly and unhelpful staff were met with dismissive responses. The rooms we were given were not worth the price we paid, and the overall treatment was disrespectful and humiliating. The service of Radisson feels more like a punishment.
Feeling shocked and upset, we decided to leave without staying the night. Returning home, we found solace in our comfortable house, appreciating it more than ever. However, this experience has deeply upset my wife, who rarely shows such emotions.
While the money is insignificant to me, the emotional distress caused to my wife is for me unforgivable.
NOT WORTH IT!
My sisters and I stayed at the Radisson Blu connected to the MOA. That was the only pleasantry about the place. We were told by their contracted valet company there was valet parking, park by yourself in their garage (both of which entailed an exorbitant fee) and free parking in the mall parking lot. HOWEVER, we were NOT informed we needed to provided our license plate to the desk if we parking in the mall parking lot nor did the desk ask for our license plate number. OUR VEHICLE WAS TOWED! All we received from the desk was "we are sorry; there is nothing we can do." In addition, their carpets are all stained. You felt like you were staying in a dive walking down the hallways. I would forgo the easy access to the mall and stay in one of the other local hotels. You do not have to worry about your vehicle being towed, and you are not paying the exorbitant parking fee. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!
Only the fact they do not accept cash…
Only the fact they do not accept cash that is actually a legal document ,they deserves a one star
Radisson Blu Stansted - Over charge
Radisson Blu Stansted is a very nice hotel with comfortable rooms & friendly staff. My issue is with the bar. We had light bites at the bar (only very average) with a drink but when I went to pay for this (£26) it was declined on the POS yet showed as going through on my account. The server said my account will show that declined payment shortly so she needed to put through the charge again, regardless of my account payment notification. The POS declined again, yet again this went through on my account. Finally, the server said the POS must be broken & got a different POS. I used another card which was accepted, however I have not been recredited for the previous payments, which were deducted from my account. I waited until the following day to see if I received the credit and when I didn't I advised the reception staff at check out who gave me contact details for the food & bar manager. I emailed him 4 days ago, and again yesterday, but still no response on how this will be addressed. This is very disappointing customer service.
Fantastic stay
Enjoying on regular bases a very good stay at Radisson Blu at Amsterdam Schiphol.
A very warm welkom one receives is especially from Mackey, who’s dedication it is to make your stay the best experience ever. Service 3.0
Don't go to the Sleeping Beauty Spa…
Don't go to the Sleeping Beauty Spa inside the Radisson Blue in Edinburgh unless you want to hear why gay people are "unnatural" AND pay twice for the treatment - because they are having trouble with SpaSeekers, they contact me a MONTH later to say they'll just bill MY credit card with the full amount.
Rude staff, tired decor and unclean
Arrived at the Radisson Blu in Cardiff and the car park was full. I had been told it was on a first come first serve basis but should be fine. My wife tried to book in (whilst I went off to find somewhere to park ). However the staff were extremely rude at first greeting. Wanting an email from me to verify the booking!? Which is difficult to do while driving and trying to find a space. So she had to stand and wait for me to return an hour later. The room then was freezing cold, looked very dated and tired. But also not very clean with brown stains on the carpet floor. We eventually got the heating to come on but kept cutting in and out despite what the thermostat was set at. We then were kept awake with noisy guests in the next room slamming doors and shouting (around 2am) and the noise of the heating kicking in and out. Plus a constantly running toilet all night. So not good at all. I get that the parking is limited and we were told that before hand. But the immediate rudeness of both the receptionist and the Manager was unacceptable. Then to have dirty cold room was a further disappointment. On reflection we should have booked an ibis at less than half the cost. I would strongly not recommend this hotel, as there are more available around this same location with more to offer at half the cost.
They don't answer the phone however many times you call
Tried calling RB Stansted several times to make some guest enquiries and whichever option you pick they just don't answer, it just rings off. Remarkably even the reservations. Obviously not interested unless you are completely tech savvy and prefer typing to talking. Found another really friendly hotel who answer their phone.... they must be stuck in the dark ages!!
Yet another stay at what can only be…
Yet another stay at what can only be described as a cheap motel, not the four-star hotel advertised. The one and only advantage the Radisson Blue at Stansted has is that it is within walkable distance to the terminal, so it is very convenient for those very red-eye early/late flights. I used to love staying at this hotel, but all the rooms I have stayed in since the end of the pandemic have been exceptionally shabby, with stained walls and carpets and chipped, cheap furniture. At this most recent stay, the pillows were grubby and, bizarrely, two of them were on the pillows inside out. Corridors were littered with empty bottles and finished meal trays, that were still there 12 hours later. Service was completely non-existent. I had forgotten toothpaste and asked for dental kit twice, but it never actually arrived. When I mentioned the above issues at Reception on checking-out, the response was, 'sorry you had a bad experience; have a good day now'. I am now generally choosing other hotels over the Radisson Blue hotels, when there is an option, as the Radisson clearly no longer cares about its customers.
Radisson Blu Milatos Crete
Radisson Blu Milatos Crete, our first holiday for 5 years and how disappointing. The photos and write up about the hotel made it sound wonderful but in reality not true. When we arrived check in was chaotic, people pushing in trying to get seen, took absolutely ages and the staff made no attempt to ask people to form orderly queues or wait their turn. We were taken on a golf buggy to our rooms as they were on the outskirts of the complex, the porters were very helpful and pleasant, the rooms were not quite what i had expected certainly not 5*. On day 3 of our holiday i fell on the very slippery tiled steps which the cleaners hosed down with water every morning which made walking quite treacherous. The staff moved us into rooms within the main building so i could access the restaurant via the lift which was nice of them but this was to our detriment as the rooms were very basic. Given that my fall was due to their cleaners hosing water everywhere i had hoped for a room of equal or even improved quality not worse. The fridge was never stocked with anything, could have provided water at the very least. Towels were just refolded and left in the bathroom, no clean ones. The shower door was missing so the bathroom floor became very wet after showering, the seal on the bath shower screen was missing so this also leaked water everywhere when used. Door lock didn't work on one of the rooms. On day one we hadn't eaten all day and after settling in we asked where we could get food (5pm) we were told nothing was available until 6.30pm. The Verandah bar is supposedly open from 10am - 11pm, it may be open but there is rarely anyone there to serve you. Could only use the Mosaic restaurant as all the other restaurants were constantly booked so couldn't use them even though when we looked at them there were plenty of unused tables we were still told nothing available. After check out we had a few hours to wait for our pick up, there are a few chairs in the reception but these were all taken, children are not allowed in the Verandah bar so we had to walk down to the beach front and wait there which is not ideal as it is quite a trek with a badly sprained/bruised leg. There should be an allowance in the Verandah bar for families with children waiting for their pick up time. We found most of the restaurant staff very disinterested in serving, if they don't like tourists they are in the wrong job. In general the place is looking tired and certainly didn't live up to my expectations. We hired a car and the lady dealing with the car bookings in the reception was very pleasant and helpful as were the porters. Plenty of sun loungers, always managed to get some even when going down later which was good. Provision of towels for use on beach/pools was good. Service at poolside bars was very slow, mostly one person trying to do the jobs of several. General cleanliness was good, general maintenance not so good.
The food was good
The food was good. So was the service. Amazing staff, very good experience.
Naina, Tanya,Harman all the girls were really cordial and sweet.
Worse Hotel RADISSON BLU MILATOS CRETE Greece
We book Anniversary Holiday in August 20/8/23 at RADISSON BLU MILATOS CRETE Greece for 1 week ( all-inclusive, five star resort) Very disappointed with the receptionist and management staffs, was very rude. Dirty rooms, broken facilities like broken fridge, trimming under bath, sticking out very dangerous and very sharp. Aircon not working, dirty stains, in bedsheets very disgusting, when we reported it to the receptionist, they were very rude and unprofessional would walk away during our conversation, pick up the telephone and put her hand up signalling me to stop talking, then talk to the other staff in their home, language and smile and laugh at me, When I was addressing my concerns and disappointment with my room, was only taken seriously when I made a complaint and requested to speak to a manager. manager was unavailable and told me to come back at 12.pm the same thing. Which we were happy to accommodate. We got there at 12:10, waited 45 minutes to speak to a manager Mr Antonis he was Not at All concerned with our complaints was rude and unhelpful was a waste of time. He told me the problems in the room would be rectified by the end of the day. when we got back to our room, We was very disappointed to find that nothing was done. I have seen the manager around the hotel and he completely ignored me and pretend to be on his phone to avoid talking to me. This hotel is misleading This Is Not a 5* hotel more like a 3*. Will Not recommend this hotel to family and friends. The restaurants are all fully booked in advance, Considering there are seven restaurants available very hard to book. Was unable to eat our desired foods. The food selection in the main restaurant is very limited. very similar food from the day before gets pretty boring after a while. Only good thing to say about this hotel the restaurant, bars and cleaners, staff was very friendly. Do you not recommend it Hotel at all. Very disappointed.
Radisson blu Belfast
I booked 2 rooms for 5th of august, one room was for myself and my wife the other was for my wife’s sister who has severe mobility issues.
On arrival in our rooms which was 201 and 203 I was disappointed with the condition of our room, I felt it was shabby and a bit run down, however as we were only staying 1 night I decided to overlook this and not make an issue of it
The following morning at about 7am I woke to a horrendous smell of sewage in our room, which was so bad I had to leave the room and go outside the hotel as I felt physically sick, I returned to the hotel about 30 minutes later and spoke to the receptionist on duty who confirmed that some work had been carried out on the drains,I explained to the lady about the smell in our room and she arranged for someone to come to the room to investigate, a short time later a lady arrived to the room and was taken aback by the smell that was still in the room despite the fact that the window had been open for nearly an hour at this stage, this lady agreed the smell was horrible and place something in the toilets to try alleviate the smell.
I couldn’t have a shower in our room and had to use my sister in laws room to wash.
I also spoke to another member of staff later who confirmed the smell was in the reception area when they commenced their shift. I also understand that this is not the first time this has happened and appears to be an ongoing problem.
I felt the smell was still on my clothes hours after we left the hotel.
