The perfect day trip

This was the perfect day trip! Pick up from Inverness at 9.30am and a most pleasurable drive to and around Loch Ness. A good number of stops, always with a Cafe or Local Toilet Facilities (this is so important to many of us :-)
Totally recommend the Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness Boat Trip add-on. Our tour guide was informative, cheery and helpful. Thank you for an excellent day.

Excellent day tour on Skye Island

We really enjoyed our tour! Scotty is an excellent guide. He provided a lot of interesting and entertaining information, while driving us safely for a complete tour on Skye Island. Highly recommended.

Reflections

Robbie tries to get us to as many interesting places as they can in the timeframe that’s available. Now I would like to say that I would really rather have a native born tour guide instead of someone from away because even though she’s lived there for a long time, she doesn’t know the ins and outs of the culture the same as having someone who grew up there and really knows the country inside and out.

We appreciate the consideration for rest drops and coffee breaks.

We would like more detail details concerning the meal stops for the following day of the tour so we can be prepared for where we will have lunch or whether or not we need to bring our own lunch.

The best part of our vacation…

Our tour guide Dave was so knowledgeable about his country & the beautiful countryside. I love that we hit all the big spots listed in the itinerary, but that Dave was able to choose little stops along the way based on our interests too. Those stops along the way were absolutely amazing… from the mile walk to have a picnic lunch by the beautiful Lochan Mor to the waterfall at the base of a mountain off the beaten path, this was the best part of our vacation. I was already looking up other Rabbie’s tours for future trips!

Sean was just so phenomenal!! We had a bit of a lighter group than normal which made for such a lovely experience traveling through the highlands. I’d absolutely go on a Rabbie’s tour again!! (Claaaaaaaire)

Billy N was a phenomenal guide. He was very engaging and really helped us connect with the places we were visiting. You could tell he really had a lot of pride in what he was doing. All of the logistics and timings were perfectly executed!

If you’re in Edinburgh and thinking…

If you’re in Edinburgh and thinking about an Outlander tour, do it!

We took the Outlander tour from Edinburgh with our guide, Jack, and he was absolutely fantastic. He didn’t just share behind-the-scenes stories from Outlander—he filled the entire day with fascinating history, Scottish legends, and fun facts about every town, castle, and landmark we passed along the way.

The scenery was breathtaking, the stops were well planned, and Jack’s knowledge and storytelling made the experience unforgettable. Even if you’re not a huge Outlander fan, you’ll come away with a much deeper appreciation for Scotland’s history.

Highly recommend this tour—and if you get Jack as your guide, you’re in for a great day!

I will always use Rabbie's for tours…

I will always use Rabbie's for tours when traveling! The ease of reserving a tour, clarity of instructions, and the fantastic guides made my touring as a solo traveler so effortless and enjoyable. The cost of the tours I took were well worth the expense. The drivers each add their own personal style and humor to the tours along with wonderful trivia and side stops when the time allowed. I am very happy I found Rabbie's tours online!

We’ll Never See Argyll [& Etc.] in the Same Light Twice

This tour rounded out a three-week adventure visiting various castles and cathedrals around the UK and learning about the ancient Christianity rooted in and grown up out of these sites; taking this tour up through the Scottish Highlands could not have been a more perfect ending to this exceptional study-abroad trip, especially with Kieran as our guide. From the first hello, he was witty and welcoming, and he continued to establish a comfortable environment to learn from through his engaging stories, excellent music que, and clear answers to our questions. I also appreciated how he wove in his own personal stories of the landscape into his teachings. He was accommodating when we needed to make an extra stop, and was often lenient to allow us a few minutes more than the itinerary called for at the most beautiful places - even though it did mean we got back later than expected (thanks for your patience, Kieran!). I fell in love with the landscape, and I do hope to be back again one day and explore more, especially his recommendation to the Isle of Skye! Though I know that even if I do come back to these same hills, I will not see this landscape in the same light twice without the wonderful storytelling of Kieran. Much gratitude to him and to all who made this happen behind the scenes. If you want a comprehensive and engaging introduction to this magical place (all while being able to look out the window like a little child mesmerized by the passing scenes), look no further than a Rabbie's tour, and ask for Kieran! You shall not be disappointed!

Fun Tour

The tour was fun and a great way to explore Scotland outside of Edinburgh. Our tour guide, Cameron was very nice and knowledgeable. I would love to participate in another tour too.

Luggage Requirements

My husband and I took the 8 day Whiskey Tour to the islands on the northwest coast of Scotland, leaving on June 19. The tour was marvelous, and our tour guides, Declan and Robbie were great. They delivered us to our sites on time and graciously answered our questions. We did have a bit of a conundrum getting on our tour bus at the Edinburgh bus station, though. We had also taken one of your tours in Ireland a couple of years ago and noticed some people did not follow the rules about the size of the baggage so we packed in two 24" suitcases, 2" over the limit. At the bus station the two Rabies' employees informed us that we could not get on the bus and that we would have to cancel our tour. The female (whose name I don't remember) was especially abrasive. We found her attitude and people skills out of line with the values of your company. In the end your employees gave us two zippered bags to use as "suitcases." We had to pay to store our suitcases in lockers at the bus station, we bought two new suitcases at one of our stops. After we hooked up with the second tour group, we noticed that there were suitcases larger than 22". This was all a minor, slightly expensive inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, but we wish that the suitcase requirement applied to all travelers. All that aside--we would travel with you again.
Thanks, Pamela and Alan Campbell
