Quizlet is a lightning fast way to memorize vocabulary lists. It's like flashcards, but much more fun and interactive.

I asked for a refund since I am a student and they and I haven’t used the app at all. They have been harsh in refusing to refund me.
1* and never getting my custom again
It is a great platform but ...
It is a great platform. However on paying to upgrade I realised some of the algorithms were different for the extra features. These other features simply don't work as efficiently (I know how rote-learning should work, I teach).
So, I contact them and engaged with Daniella which switches to Dani after a couple of messages. Except that Dani isn't human. In other words this company is deceiving it's customers when it comes to customer service. Shame on them but also a shame because it's a good product with flaws that could be fixed if they genuinely listened to feedback.
4 stars for the product but zero for responsible company.
ads ruin real learning
the ads are detrimental to your learning. Showing the ads during flashcards learning is truly atrocious.

I sometimes find quizlet useful for revising but the platform does not work that good on mobile. When I go to flip a flash card the page just moves around instead of letting me view the answer and it does not always track my progress which can be annoying.
Too many pop up annoying hints
Too many pop up annoying hints. This is very distracting when you are studying. I have plus so this is ridiculous.
No option to have no music
Hello,
Was looking to forward to use quizlet live for a Islamic group circle. Unfortunately, it has background music one has to turn the volume down to avoid it. Music is not allowed in Islam so would have appreciated an option to have an option to have no music.
I advise you to make an option to have no music. My review will change if an option is made to have no music
WAY too many adverts
I used to really like Quizlet as it was really useful for efficiently making flashcards. However, I am now getting unskippable adverts that appear in the middle of my sets while I'm revising, which is exceedingly unhelpful and annoying. The site is so slow and has become confusing as well as being absolutely loaded with ads. Not worth the time.
extreme amount of bugs
For a while I had a great experience with Quizlet, BUT it is filled with breaking bugs like; unable to save titles and important details of flash cards, leaving the user frustrated. The amount of bugs around their entire homepage has resulted in a 1-star review. It was so frustrating I came just for this sole purpose to make 1 star.
Quizlet - My idea of hell on flashcards
Quizlet: where dreams go to die, one flashcard at a time. Logging into this site is like willingly stepping into a memory black hole, where time stretches, motivation vanishes, and your will to study is pulverized by endless, repetitive soul-numbing click-fests.
At first, it lures you in with promises of “easy learning.” But what you actually get is a loop of digital torment — the same five cards showing up over and over like a broken record of academic suffering. You will forget the one term you actually needed, and Quizlet will remind you of that failure with the grace of a wrecking ball.
Their auto-generated definitions? Straight out of a robot's fever dream. I once saw a history term explained in a way that made less sense than a toddler describing quantum physics. And the matching game? Designed specifically to make you feel like you’ve just failed kindergarten.
Oh, and don’t think the “upgrade to premium” pop-ups will stop. They appear more often than actual helpful content — I’ve seen less begging in a Shakespearean tragedy.
To summarize: I’d rather recite the entire dictionary backwards while walking on LEGO pieces than use Quizlet again. A betrayal disguised as a study tool. May it be forever deleted from my bookmarks.
Blocks function allows for incorrect…
Blocks function allows for incorrect answers:
I have been using this to revise for exams and since I take History as a subject, there are a lot of dates I need to revise:
Say for example, we look at when public executions and executions in prisons were abolished, these events both happened in 1868 however the platform allows me to type in 1968. It is the day of the exam today and I am going over my cards on Quizlet and now I am finding out.
This came as a VERY nasty shock to me and I don't think that having this wiggle room in answers to do with dates is a very good idea. Therefore, I suggest that any answers given to the program must be exact which would prompt people to streamline their answers down to only include the key points which is a lot better as it teaches them to isolate useful information. I have never felt more panic than now.
Please fix this issue in the upcoming weeks as this is exam week and you are a platform who does have content and revision activities for exams such as GCSEs and A-Levels. With all due respect, I do expect this to be fixed as soon as possible so that other people do not have to deal with the same problems as I did here.
BEWARE!!! Subscription Trap
BEWARE!!! The site has reasonably good content. However, DO NOT get a subscription. I spent 45 minutes trying to cancel my subscription. They DO NOT send renewal reminders, so I had to get through PayPal to cancel them and to get a refund. Their website's cancellation instructions do not match the website.
Excessive Ads, Unnecessary Paywal
I've used Quizlet for years now, and used to adore it due to the countless times it's saved me 5 minutes before an exam/vocab quiz. However, in its current day state, it is objectively both useless and money hungry. The ads make the site take forever to load and move through the UI efficiently. All the fun features that used to make it unique are under a paywall. I guarantee you that you can do Quizlet's capabilities for free at home. Get some flashcards, write down what you need to know, and test yourself like the now paid activities used to work.
At first, it was a great study tool, but after the latest update, it’s an absolute nightmare!

You can’t move sets between folders/classes efficiently, you can’t select individual cards from sets and reorganize them into a new set.
It’s also impossible to create a folder with older sets, because you can’t select them – even the individual set settings don’t allow adding them.
Completely user-unfriendly – I spend more time trying to figure out how to make something work than actually studying productively.
They don't care about the customer
I’ve used Quizlet for years, but this recent experience was terrible. As a business based in the EU, I need invoices that meet basic legal standards, customer name, address, tax ID, etc. Quizlet doesn’t provide this and refuses to even offer a blank field to enter billing info.
Their customer support is a joke, it's like talking to a bot copy-pasting scripted replies with zero regard for the actual issue. They clearly don’t care about long-time users or about operating professionally in international markets.
If you’re a business, avoid Quizlet. They make things unnecessarily difficult and don’t seem interested in improving.

Money grubbing website that is trying to profit off struggling college/high school kids. Is Ad revenue not good enough???

Very unprofessional company
Without any prior notification or opportunity to correct an issue, Quizlet deleted my account with an accusation that I had committed copyright violations. This was shortly after I renewed my subscription and they did not even notify me after the fact or refund my money. Although I used their answer feature which provided several answer selections for a term or question, I am unaware of any violations but would certainly and very willingly removed them if I had been given the courtesy of a notification or warning. I don't even know which violations they are referring to - they just deleted my entire account which included my OER images that I created and OER lecture questions. Because I had to quickly recreate review sheets for my students, I located Revisely. It is so much better than Quizlet, it is very engaging, and they will be adding more features. Check them out if you are unahappy with Quizlet.
Absolutely horrible
I literally need to pay for everything and it won't even let me properly study. I can barely do anything without this fly telling me to pay. This is terrible and I'm sure it will continue to fall off because they are so damn greedy and keep trying to grab money.
