Good product.
This the only program I have used since MYM died. It is the best for managing my check register and prepping my tax entries.
I regret that I have to pay for it every year. It used to last several years before forced upgrade. I am not impressed by the "upgrades".
I have called the company 3 times with problems. The first 2 times I got a quick and easy resolution. The third was a completely useless experience. I managed to figure it out later but know that "support" is a misnomer.
After years of use, Quicken started working at a snails pace
I have used Quicken on a regular basis since the 1990s. My files are large as I have recorded every credit card transaction and investment transaction. About a year ago, the program instantly became very slow. It is very annoying to sit and wait after hitting the enter key for something to happen.
Value not keeping up with price
There have been only minimal incremental improvements despite the price going up 2.7x since 2018... It is not 2.7x more valuable than it was 8 years ago. The price is almost as much as Monarch, which has budgeting and goals that are missing in Quicken Classic for Mac (what is there for Budgeting is worthless and doesn't count even as "checkbox functionality"). Transaction Management and Reporting is fine enough, but not worth the $33/yr to $89/yr price hikes.
Not as good as it used to be
Quicken used to be a lot easier to use and more accurate
New transactions aren’t marked as deposits or checks or expenses. There seems to be a constant need for balance adjustments, which didn’t happen a couple of years ago

I have always been happy with my experience using Quickens
Quicken not what it used to be
After using Quicken for the last 15 years or more, I have had a ton of trouble the past 2years. I have phoned for help three times and the same problem still exists - entries do not remember what I input to them for category and, each month, I have to redo the categories Quicken implements. It is a huge time waste and hassle. Not sure how much longer I will stay with you.

Poor support for US/Canada dual…
Poor support for US/Canada dual residents (no understanding of currency) and you don't support Interactive Brokers Canada, only US.
Good checking account manager
Only used for bank account management. Program works well for most activities. Sometimes there is a problem with referencing and matching downloaded transactions. Some need to be edited and refined after the original post due to transaction memorization and references. Key words sometimes picks up the wrong information. Other than that and if data is organized well, report capability is great and helps at tax time.
Like the investment tracking
Like the investment tracking. No support whatsoever for international users. Charging full price for them is not justified given no bank feeds, stock feed for international stocks, reports always in $ unless you do four steps to change the currency, etc. List is endless. So I won’t be renewing anymore.

There was no alert by quicken about one drive. It resulted in having to rebuild my database twice. Customer support is lacking. Quicken is suppose to generate invoices. I found this to be unfounded. Not happy
Fairly helpful for tracking stuff
Fairly helpful for tracking checking account and investments
Consistent product
The product is consistent and just what I need for budgeting. I sure wish there was a true multi-currency version, or at least one that connects to US and Canadian banks.

You regular and excessive price increases are accompanied by few if any increases in service and software upgrades. I am actively looking for a replacement for you program.
Getting There
Easy to use and improving consistently. However, the classic mobile app needs significant improvements, including invoicing capability.
Your annual fee has become ridiculous
Your annual fee has become ridiculous. And you have the gall to keep raising it every year for little tweaks that brings little improvement. You bet on the hassle factor keeping people from changing to another product. Corporate greed at its finest.

I find it interesting how you “trap” people into the auto-renewal of the this product. We are dis-continuing all products that will not bill on an annual basis.
