This company has a problem.

I have had insurance for 40 years and never made any claim. I’m the sort of person who likes to do things properly and above board. There was a problem with my home insurance since making alterations to incorporate a rental flat within it, that I had taken seierate unsurance out on. This company treated me like a criminal, are hard to get hold of and left me uninsured 12 hours before going to other side of the world for two months (despite multiple attempts to get through to them well before). I felt less than human in their dealings with them. I’d strongly urge any prospective customer to pay more and use an insurer with better reviews. For this company I’d seriously think more about your customers and not just their bottom line, you have become one of the worst sort of organisations and I suspect your employees have a horrible time pushing your policies.

Poor service, unjustified renewal pricing and barriers to cancel

Given wrong answer to a query on cover. On attempted renewal that cover was reduced significantly, but a significant premium rise was levied.

Obtained better cover in the open maker from a national company with a reduced premium v. last year.

Qmetric Policy Expert offer online product/ but force you to call them to stop auto-renewals. They then fail to acknowledge cancellation in writing.

Nothing About them appears Expert, other than taking your cash. I can’t believe they are Regulated.

Absolutely appalling company

Absolutely appalling company. Do not get your insurance from this company. Despite what it says on your policy they still won’t accept a claim. These insurance companies need stopping, they’ve become a law unto themselves so know they can get away with ripping people off.

Unnecessary stress from car insurance.!!

I recently purchased car insurance on money supermarket, with regrettably policy expert. I gave all my details and driving licence number on the website. After the 14 day cooling down period, I have been constantly been harassed for very personal details, photos of my vehicle outside my house photos of log book driving licence, medical letters, and are now demanding I pay them a further £67.00, administration fee. Otherwise they will cancel my policy, starting to think this might be a scam. They are currently causing me a great amount of stress. I have objected to the above fee, and awaiting there response.

Q Metric Group / Policy Expert ruined my life

Q Metric Group are linked to Policy Expert and Trinity Claims.

I had a house fire on 21st February 2023. Thankfully we all survived, and my house didn’t burn down, however the smoke damage was extensive. We are still not home, and my house remains uninhabitable, with its condition having deteriorated further since it’s been left empty for over a year. I was unable to heat my home over the winter to reduce deterioration from the cold, because the boiler was condemned. This is my experience. I’ve raised 3 complaints with the Ombudsman, all of which have been upheld.

The most recent Ombudsman ruling the insurance company is appealing, so that means around another three months for that appeal process to take place. The impact of this is more uncertainty, further financial distress, further decline of my mental health.

Issues since February 2023:

• Aggressive claims handlers, effectively bullying and belittling me, just days after the fire
• Withdrew alternative accommodation funding, effectively making my children and I homeless for 4 months, just days after the fire
• Damaged my home during initial “cleaning attempts”
• Negligent and unprofessional conduct by very senior members of staff at Trinity Claims

• My home was not cleaned to safe standards, and Trinity were expecting my children and I to move back into an unsafe environment (it was only after an Ombudsman ruling that this was changed)
• Below par cash settlements offered at every stage. At one point I was offered £1,700 to clean my entire house. A professional specialist firm quoted over £60,000
• Removed contents that have now been lost / possibly stolen
• Refusal to properly assess electrical items that had been damaged in the fire, suggesting to PAT test, which does not consider damage made to components inside those items, that could potentially cause another fire in the future. This puts my family at risk in the future of another house fire.
• Delay tactics in processing the claim between February and November 2023
• The claim stopped being processed in November due to accusations of misrepresentation
• Face to face interview in November with Trinity’s Fraud team, which was extremely distressing
• Dishonestly and unfairly voided my policy just before Christmas (Ombudsman has overturned this)
• Withdrew alternative accommodation funding again, so I have been effectively paying for my house, a rental, two lots of council tax, and utilities, and this has been since November 2023 and no end in sight. This is pushing me into significant debt.
• Disputes over surveyor and possible issues with ongoing alternative accommodation funding
• A fear that the next stage of reinstatement will continue to be processed in the same manner as my poor and distressing experiences to date

This is where I am right now. No doubt I will be updating this soon enough again.

Simply the worst customer service I've had- ever.

In all my years (66), I've never experienced such truly appalling service.
I'll not bore readers with the details as it would take up pages and pages of text.
They refused to pay out on a valid gale damage claim.
They are very reluctant to answer the phone.
They are evasive, unhelpful and clealy disinterested when contact is eventually made- and unwilling to take a fair view. Their only aim is to avoid paying my storm claim no matter what.

It's going to the Ombudsman and FSC due to the policy wording being deliberately evasive and seems to fall foul of the FAC handbook rule 7. 2
If you don't want that stress, buy a policy elsewhere.
This company are cheap and not cheerful.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Quite unbelievable

Quite unbelievable, I am probably the best risk on their books all be it I am 79. Renewal this year went from £251 last year to £621 for the coming year, a staggering increase. You don't need to do much digging to see that insurance companies operate a cartel, holding to the public to ransom with their flimsy excuses. Well I suppose somebody has to pay for that big fat bonuses!

Poor service with non fault claim

Poor service with non fault claim. I had no toilet and didn’t get alternative accommodation . A cash settlement was offered to the value of £1200 then said they would have to take £700 excess of that amount as two vehicles hit my property. Got quotes to repair which were higher still not paying out. I would avoid buying insurance of this company as they are not very professional with their customer service. Not fit to be running a customer led businesses I will report to insurance ombudsman so hopefully they can investigate their poor customer services.

I was going to start with a major rant…

I was going to start with a major rant about Policy (QMetric) Expert, but a message appears when you first start your review i.e. What went wrong this time? How can this company improve (lol)?

I will just say that You Get What You Pay For...

For Example...
* Buy from Poundland (Policy (QMetric) Expert) and expect cheap, nasty service/products :-(
* Buy from Next and expect excellent and professional service + quality products that are fit for purpose :-)

If you are reading this, then you are asking yourself if you should purchase a policy from this company…

My advice would be STOP WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO DO and Go to a Legit Insurer (that cares) and make your life better when you might need to claim.

All they want is the easiest of risks/money, each year.

Bad Points: Staff/Products
Good Points: Absolutely Nothing

Unbelievable that I've struggled over…

Unbelievable that I've struggled over the Xmas period to change my policy. Needed a new car as my other one broke but can't get myself on the insurance. Being told to wait until Tuesday. Brilliant. It's now Sunday.

Need my car for my job, so at the moment I'm currently not earning any money. Guess you still gonna want me to pay you this month. Ha

What would've happened if I needed to make a claim.
Thanks again for no emergency number, stay clear I guess.

Robbery hidden under the name of insurance

I CAN NOT WORN YOU ENOUGH.
Do not use Qmetric, Trinity Claims, Policy Expert or anyone associated with them. There first priority is how to avoid paying out. They will try every angle they can. There policy terms are written in such a way that you have no chance. You may think you are insured until you have a claim. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
