As usual, it’s a hassle to receive a delivery from Purolator. Same pattern every time:
1. I’m at home waiting for the delivery driver, then I receive a notification saying I wasn’t home - yet no delivery notice is left.
2. I call customer service to change the delivery address to a Purolator Quick Pick-Up location to make sure I receive the package.
3. The next day, delivery fails again at my home address-even though I changed it the day before-and the package is sent to a different location than the one I selected. For the record, I was home and again no delivery notice was left.
4. On my way to pick up the package from the location they chose, I received a call informing me that the Purolator pick-up location suggested by the customer service agent doesn’t even exist.
Luckily, I was eventually able to get my package.

I get a message parcel is on the truck.
I get an email saying no buzzer code, which they don't need.
Entry is the apartment #.
I provided two cell #s.
No attempt to deliver was made, absolutely livid.
The delivery was time sensitive and it's really messed up a job for my business.
Now I am waiting for them to drop off at the depot so I can go pick it up.But they also said I might not be able to pick it up as it's. Larger item.If so they will deliver it in two days time.
Absolute terrible service terrible company.

This is the worst shipping company on earth. Avoid at all costs.

Repeated false delivery attempts. Virtual assistant is a pain to talk to, very limited. You'll never speak to a human representative.

Once again, Purolator has been disappointing. Despite giving them the benefit of the doubt over the years, there continue to be consistent issues with their delivery service. There are frequent inconsistencies, along with questionable explanations for delays—for example, citing “extreme weather” when conditions are clearly normal between origin and destination. Updates to shipment status are often significantly delayed, and when attempting to seek clarification, there appears to be little accountability or ownership of the issue.
As someone who works in customer service, I understand the importance of clear communication and resolution. Unfortunately, my experience has been that concerns are often deflected rather than addressed, resulting in a frustrating and unproductive process for the customer.

The delivery drivers DO NOT ring the doorbells because they do not want to carry the package to the door. They make you go to their facilities for pick up. Do not buy from vendors who use this garbage service.

Complete business address was given to this courier company. Unit number and street address. The manager Karen said her people will not deliver if there is no company name. I was force to pickup my own package. The address supplied has my personal name and phone number. They did not attempt to contact me. Their excuse was there's no company name! Our company name is in the malls directory ! Poor excuse from a courier company. Unacceptable in so many levels. Don't use them in any shipping and courier service!
Update. March 23.
No resolution to compensate my inconveniences. Apology doesn't pay my gas and time wasted to pick up my own package. They were paid to deliver at the address. Their excuse was no business name provide. They did not even contact me! There excuse , union policy don't allow them to contact the recipient! Unbelievable! USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I have medication that is delivered by Purolator every 2 months. Never had any issues with delivery. 2 days ago, Purolator tried to deliver my medication but no one answered the door. This medication needs a signature so they didnt leave it but left a sticker of where I could pick it up. Next day I go to pick it up at the location but it was closed for 2 days. This medication is in a cooler box and has to be refrigerated within 48hrs so I needed to locate the package ASAP. I reached out to the customer service and after escalating the matter and being able to speak with a supervisor, they were able to not only locate my important package but arranged to put it in a cold storage overnight and have it available for pick up today. I greatly appreciate the importance they had put on this matter and did everything they could to make sure my medication was taken care of.

Purolator has my package but claims that it can't deliver because my driveway is blocked. Therefore I have to pick it up but they don't say where. Trying to find out on line is impossible and their customer service does not work. Most courier services are bad but Purolator is the worst. Can't understand that they are still in business. I would like to give them a 0 star.

EDIT: March 21, 2026
After a nice lady supervisor called the distribution centre for me, to ensure that the parcel was delivered that same day, I am modifying my review of Purolator. They had made two failed delivery attempts, claiming I was not home. That was absolutely false, as I was indeed home all day. No one rang. After I spoke with the lady supervisor at the call centre, she ordered the parcel to be dispatched that same day. I thank her kindly, and I appreciate her efforts. Purolator has redeemed themselves with me.
Does Purolator recruit their drivers at a trap house? They claim to have made two delivery attempts at my home. I have surveillance cameras, and an app on my phone whenever someone rings the door. No one came. They are a bunch of liars and swindlers. Intelcom is a way better delivery company. Purolator and UPS are the worst.

You are absolutely terrible at providing ANY information as to WHEN something will be delivered. My shop is unmanned and requires an appointment for me to ensure someone is there to receive deliveries. FOUR times this month you've attempted various deliveries and NEVER ONCE CALLED ME IN ADVANCE to make any kind of appointment. This is adversely affecting my business as I have to leave meetings or other things to rush to my shop because your driver is there waiting, and if I don't receive the shipment (that I have no idea is coming that day) I lose clients or fail to fulfil contracts. Your "service" has cost me several dozen hours of time this month alone due to your inability to even tell me what day someone is going to try and deliver a package. Is this really a difficult concept- to provide an accurate date as to when a package will be delivered? I can't have people sit around at my facility all day in the hopes that my package will make it there on any given day- that would cost me more than the losses I'm taking from your poor service and lack of ability to communicate literally anything about when my packages might arrive. This could be automated in five seconds. Would rate zero stars if I could.

Could not find the correct address even though I have ordered many packages to that location. Delivered to the completely wrong address today. I scheduled for a redelivery tomorrow so this will be the third time trying to receive it. So frustrated, they are incompetent and don’t deliver

I have lived in several provinces, and no matter where I live, Purolator is notoriously terrible "service." As a disabled person with no family and friends who live on the other side of the country, I depend heavily on deliveries and online shopping in order to survive and for my well-being. Purolator doesn't seem to care about this or take it into account at all, though, because every time I have to endure a shipment from them the entire experience is one issue after another.
From the tracking not being accurate, to the fact that Purolator is a running joke in Canada for being lazy and not doing their ONE job, to rude customer service that don't have a clue what they're doing, the list goes on, it's a wonder they are still in business at all. In fact, if they weren't owned by Canada Post and federally regulated, they wouldn't be. It's why their drivers get paid cushy wages to sit in a big truck and drive around pasting "Sorry We Missed You" notes on people's doors instead of actually, you know, doing their jobs.
I am at the point now where if I see an order of mine ship with Purolator, I cancel it. It's not worth the headache, or having to compulsively check the tracking and preemptively try to anticipate and correct their errors to try and ensure a good experience for myself. In the last 2 years I have lived in my new home I have gotten 3 Purolator shipments, and EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. has had issues.
This last one was a gazebo I was excited to get for summer time. I am on a fixed income because of my disability, and this was a small gift to myself for feeling well this year, so I can enjoy my yard this summer without getting sick again. It has been sitting in the depot for weeks now. I have contacted them I don't know how many times. I have explained I am disabled and physically can not go across the city and haul a heavy box. I spoke to a supervisor who was very kind and is doing her best to help me, but also basically told me to rely on friends to go pick it up for me and that it's not really their job and there's never a guarantee of redelivery..... now the depot is retaliating by saying they have attempted redelivery when they have not.
Their "accessibility plan" is an absolute sham and nothing but BS for optics and PR.
I'm over it. Hope you all go out of business.

Literally the worst delivery system ever. The delivery person never attempted to call me or use the buzzer code. I couldn't receive the package in person even though I was at home. There's nowhere on the website where I could leave my contact info. I had to go out of my way to contact an agent to make sure they contacted me, but they didn't.

Exceptional Customer Service From Daisey / Location 60803 , Have been several times to this Purolator Location as have been dealing with a family estate with deadlines when Canada Post was on strike and delivery times exceeded my expectations which was critical at the time . Thank You Purolator !

Most of the time they are late, They like to use the weather as an excuse, they mus think we dont have windows in our home! Shipments go missing and good luck with customer service THERE is none

Reply from Purolator
Every! Freaking! Time! they just don't bother, planned delivery with pre-submitted buzzcode, instructions, snaile locker in the building in case courier doesn't have access, and purolator is just the only company WHO NEVER BOTHERS. No intercom buzz, no call, nothing, just post-hoc notification uh-oh we TRIED.
Pay your drivers or teach them or close and start a bakery!
Now I need to travel for 25kg box to the middle of nowhere.

I’m honestly disgusted by the level of service from Purolator.
The delivery driver didn’t even attempt to ring my building’s buzzer, even though the buzzer number was clearly written on the shipping label. Instead of making the most basic effort to deliver the package, the driver simply reported that the building was “inaccessible,” which is completely untrue.
This kind of behavior suggests either laziness or very poor training. If drivers can’t follow the simple instruction of ringing a buzzer that is clearly listed on the label, it raises the question of what kind of training they are receiving.
To make matters worse, Purolator then told me that I would need to pick up the package myself from their nearest depot. That completely defeats the purpose of paying for delivery in the first place.
After seeing the long list of one-star reviews online, it’s clear that this is not an isolated incident. I’m honestly surprised that Purolator is still in business and that companies continue to use them for shipping.
Unfortunately, it seems that Purolator does not take customer satisfaction or accountability seriously. This was an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience.

You guys dont even deserve 1 star. Saying you showed up but didnt, twice. You guys realize most of us have cameras right? We can see your lies.
I hope youre ready to reimburse the customers, like myself, who had to use your service.
