I love the fact that it is very close to home and accessible whenever I want to go, no problems with parking and a good range of equipment.
HOWEVER - the air conditioning is appalling its a stifling sweat box, amenities (water/changing rooms) out of order multiple times, doesnt' feel very clean - you can just about see out of the windows as they are so dirty. I know it's a budget gym - but these things should be a given!

I like Pure Gym at Tower Park in Poole because it's reasonably priced and has lots of equipment. It's easy to park nearby, and the atmosphere inside is pretty relaxed. It can get very busy before and after normal "work" times, but it's open 24 hours and there's no problem using equipment or finding a space outside of those times.
I've started off learning strength training, and was feeling nervous because I hadn't been to any gym for years. But I booked some sessions with one of the PTs; Holly Collier is very friendly, approachable and above all encouraging. She challenges me to keep improving my fitness and I'm actually enjoying going to the gym!

Very easy to join and make first payment. I looked at the off peak, but it didn't suit me so I went for the 24/7 access. Price is very competitive compared to other brands who charge 3 times as much.

Since when has a gym that advertises itself as open 24/7 been closed over Christmas.Travelled up to visit my mother in law like we usually do and it was closed. It even let me get a day pass on line with no mention of it.When I tried to contact someone they couldn’t actually answer the question apart from the fact that they said there staff were having a well earned break to spend time with their families which I found ridiculous as the gym hasn’t got any staff in it most of the time anyway. They just kept passing the buck trying to offer me a free day pass and not wanting to see the point i was making. Now isn’t that false advertising?

I’m paying for a membership to use both the Poole and Bournemouth gym.
The standards in Poole gym have dropped significantly over the past year. Firstly, there is only one leg press machine, a fundamental piece of equipment to many people’s workouts. This machine has been broken for months and therefore I have had to keep my membership to access Bournemouth gym when I am wishing to use such equipment. Furthermore, the cleanliness of Poole gym is quite grim. The ladies toilets have a foul smell, especially coming from the sinks which are quite visibly always dirty. There is constantly a pool of water in the showers, and I know of an incident where a girl slipped down the steps in the shower due to such conditions.
The cleanliness of the Bournemouth gym toilets is also not the greatest, accompanied by faulty taps and toilet doors which don’t close.
I really dislike to say such negative things, but I no longer get enough use from the gym for what I am paying. Due to the lack of standards it is really less appealing to visit a PureGym and I am looking for an alternative.

The parking is good.. The changing rooms have plenty of lockers and are clean and tide.. The gym is well laid out and their is space to do your exercise in on all the machines... There is a good range of machines which can start light and end very heavy as you choose.. Open 24 hours ..
