Overall was seen quicker than expected but after initial diagnosis I had to be re referred in by my GP to enquire about medication , this was dealt with relatively quickly though.

The psychiatrist listed well, his questions were considered. The appointment was quick and easy to arrange. He did however seem to assume I had an understanding of ADHD and which of my symptoms were ADHD related which I didn't.

One star is more than they deserve, I have been waiting 14 months to be told via a short message in my notes I have been discharged, due to a medical condition I have, if untreated you cannot have ADHD medication, if they looked at my NHS medical records or asked have I had any corrective treatment, the reply would have been yes, Are they only able to support via medication are they incapable of other treatment, or do they allow the people they have let down, there patients to go and commit suicide as they are 20% more likely to with ADHD, avoid Psychiatry Uk like the plaque unless you do not mind 14 months of let down, 58 years of un diagnosed ADHD has been very difficult for me, the 14 months dealing with Psychiatry Uk has made it that much worse, they told me they on my initial diagnosis I was of high risk, the only communication from them has been of when I complained on how long it is taking to get to a medication stage, only once they checked to see if I was okay when they know ADHD is a struggle for me, just call 111 if I am feeling suicidal or contact my GP, do you really want support from such an un human organisation.

My experience was made so much better than I thought it was going to because the psychiatrist made me feel at ease completely. He made me feel confident and comfortable to be able to talk to him about my personal situation.

Waiting time was short. The doctor was professional, attentive, and understanding. Overall, the experience was good; it allowed me to get to know myself better and understand the reasons behind my behaviors. It reminded me of my childhood and my youth.
