Took the car in for pre arranged appointment 2 new tyres, both fit & back out into car park within 30 mins. Only gripe is that the report on condition of brakes & discs etc wasn’t filled out.

Abysmal service…

At protyre Workington following a MOT I was advised by the manager of 1 major defect of 'Service brake excessively binding, offside rear'. To me this highlights only 1 location with an issue (Offside Rear). I politely asked the manager if Protyre could repair this with a view to passing the MOT, and he replied that yes he could repair the defect to pass the MOT.
I was phoned 3 days later by the same manager to be advised that the repair would cost over £800 due the fact that all 4 break disks and break pads had to be replaced. I went to the Workington centre again and asked for an explanation as to why the fault on the certificate had suddenly changed from 1 location to now 4 locations to pass the MOT, and the manager raising his voice and again saying that all the discs and pads required replacing for the car to pass its MOT. As all this was not highlighted in the refusal of MOT test certificate it was total shock to me and with the large cost he was advising. With this level of abysmal communication by the angry Protyre manager I will never take my car to Protyre Workington again.

My first time using Protrye

My first time using Protrye, I was really impressed by the whole process with them; from the online booking; the service and MOT carried out and finally my interaction with the Team at my Workington Branch, cheerful, friendly, efficient and helpful.

Advised part needed replaced

Advised part needed replaced, stated £250. Took for second opinion, confirm didn't need done, but did the work as suggested by someone else for £160. Went back to clear MOT, but won't be back. Overcharging folk at a time people are struggling. Apparently are known fornit, won't be going back.

After a disastrous MOT experience the day before I called upon Protyre once again.
I explained the situation to Michael in the Workington Branch and He has been faultless.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Web enquiry remains unanswered, alternative product refused to be fitted for no good reason, inattentive staff, existing tyres refitted but left massively under inflated. Total waste of time matched only by a totally avoidable increase in frustration. Totally awful customer service

Superb service once again

Superb service once again. Good pricing. Would have been 5 stars but for the staff on the counter. Not the usual female staff but two males, one of whom seemed in charge and was constantly undermining the other man. Not what you want to listen to while waiting. Quite embarrassing really.
