disappointed

Having read some marvellous reviews, and seen photos of deliveries on the website, I was expecting a superb service from Pro Rider. It was quite upsetting, therefore, for the scooter we ordered to turn up in a large box and in several bits - needing to be assembled by us. As my husband is disabled he couldn't do this and we had to pay someone to do this for us, which also meant we couldn't use the scooter immediately. When I telephoned Pro rider they told me that to have the service that is portrayed on their website you have to order white glove service, which costs £89. This is apparently mentioned in the terms and conditions at checkout online, but it is not shown anywhere on the main website - delivery is quoted as free - I feel this is misrepresentation - from the photos on the site people expect to get a scooter delivered by pro rider, whole and ready to ride - this is clearly not the case unless you pay extra. Please be aware of this fact when you order online - the delivery service in the photos IS NOT FREE !!!

Worth while sellers - good products at attractive prices.

I have bought two mobility scooters in the past, and recently ordered a lightweight self propelled wheelchair. The product was shown as "in stock" and mentioned "September delivery" (In November 2014) on the web page.
No response received on payment of price, so contacted by e-mail to get delivery date. It turned out that there was NO STOCK (and they added insult to injury by taking payment at order time (14 Nov 14).
It took about three weeks to be delivered, and I was happy with the product as expected.
I know they were probably as fustrated as I was about stock, but they should update the page, and NOT take payment until item is dispatched

Given me my mother back...

Hi....

My mother was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer a few months back. I lost my dad back in 2009, so this was the worst possible thing I could have heard.

As anyone facing the loss of a loved one to a debilitating disease will tell you... you just don't want to see them suffer. You want them to enjoy the life they have left for as long as possible. My mother gets very breathless, tires very quickly and gets very upset and depressed at these symptoms as they are a constant reminder of her illness. As such she had become reclusive and unwilling to do anything... which simply increased her depression. Some bad reactions to chemotherapy which led to her hospitalisation led to her becoming very distressed and pleading that she didn't want to die. The most painful thing I have ever experienced.

Desperate to get my mother back I turned to the internet.... found some tips from others on how to help her, ordered an aromatherapy shower (some patients can smell the chemo constantly) and bought her a comfy, upright recliner chair and footstool to help with her coughing.

I then started to think about Christmas and how hard it was to miss out on Christmas shopping with my dad back in December 2009. I was determined to allow my mum to get out of the house with us and enjoy. I searched online and came across positive reviews of Pro Rider so decided to order my mother a small, portable mobility mobile.

Last weekend my mum came out Christmas shopping with my sister and her parter and my partner, my son and I. As the day went on... no breathlessness, no tiredness... I realised that for that day I had my mum back. I cried on that day... had to go back to the car for a bit. But there was a big difference this time; for weeks I had cried in pain and fear. This time I cried because this simple, little, foldaway, inexpensive mobility mobile had given me another day of happy memories with my mum.

I can't express thanks enough to everyone at Pro Rider. To give people in our position "just one more day"... it's worth the world. Thank you.

The service was fantastic and sympathetic. Delivery was very quick and helpfully arranged.

I highly recommend to anyone who needs that extra bit of help with their freedom.

Off back out tomorrow with my very happy mother. Just hope she doesn't decide to race anyone like she did last time!

Arrive in style

The ride on this scooter is very smooth and completely silent, very comfortable and easy to use. As a younger than usual scooter user this is so powerful and looks great, many good comments from people.
The charger is simple and cuts out when full and with the charge point high up its very easy to get to.
I really enjoy driving my road king.

FREEDOM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OUTSTANDING click & go fully charged batterys are a god send, helpful sales staff, delivery driver very helpfull. Would recomend this company to my friends & family, over all a perfect buying experience

FREEDOM AT LAST WITH MY PRO RIDER MOBILITY SCOOTER

unfortunately,due to the current wet weather,i have been unable to venture out and try the actual SCOOTER,however,i am pleased to say that it is fully assembled and ready to go !!,with the BATTERY all charged up and the SCOOTER in the boot of our car,which in our opinion proves that it is AS IT SAYS "easy to fold",compact,and quite easy to assemble,thank you PRO RIDER to be FREE at last

absolutely lovely

After looking at various scooters in my price range I came accross the pro rider, and so glad I did, it does everything u want it to do without the massive price tag, it's very very comfortable very quiet too, I'm a disabled angler and this scooter takes me and my equipment to the waters edge and does so, so effortlessly, I would highly recommend this scooter to anyone.

Best scooter I've had

I've had my scooter about 4 years now (previous scooters have not even lasted a year) I have had a new battery and charger but nothing else. Pro Rider service the scooter every year.

was well pleased with the price but i had trouble getting the seat and the cover off so i could get to the battery to connect the leads was not told that this had to done if i was older i would not been able to do it myself

Excellent service

Service could not be bettered. I was rung up by an actual human being telling me when the parcel would arrive, and arrive it did. Everything promised was there, and in good nick.

PS The box was so big that had I been sixty years younger I would have wanted to play in it!

A pro rider E-bike has opened up my world

I am a disabled man who could not go far because of serious health problems. So after a lot of research I found pro rider and bought a E tourer in silver. I also bought a childs cycle trailer with suspension for less stress on the alloy framed bike. Myself and dog can get out of town and all around it when ever we want to. It may not be much to a lot of people but it means the world to me and it is because of the reasonable price of the E bike and the great quality of it. It is thanks to pro rider mobility.

Race against time

I bought one of the basic wheelchairs costing £75 for my mum when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - the average life span following diagnosis is 3 - 6 months. We did have a problem opening and closing the wheelchair in the early stages, but the problem was quickly resolved due to the excellent customer care. It was easy to open, close and manoeuvre, including in and out of the car. Although mum was only well enough to use the wheelchair for about a month, it enabled her to achieve several of the things on her bucket list, including fish and chips at the seaside. The wheelchair was also very useful for moving mum around at home. When mum decided that she wanted to die upstairs in her own bed rather than downstairs in the hospital bed, we put her in the wheelchair and lifted it upstairs. She said the wheelchair had been a great purchase.

First class product and very helpful service

Purchased a Pro Rider Road King last year and it has changed my life completely.

Given me freedom that I never had before and the price I paid for it is less than half what other's who I have spoken to paid for their different brand scooters.

I have called the service office a couple of times with questions and they have been very helpful and gone out of their way to assist me.

Great company and a pleasure to see a company looking after disabled customers. I have just bought a second scooter for my wife.

non delivery

i ordered this item on Monday morning on the understanding I would receive it the same week. I was told it would be delivered on Wednesday between 9.00 and 6.00. When it didn't arrive i rang on Thursday morning to be told the item was not in stock. As you can imagine I was not too pleased as I wanted it the same week as I had my son visiting, who was going to assemble it for me.

Fantastic Service

I ordered the Pro Rider Electric Golf Trolley on the Tuesday and it was delivered by courier on the Friday, an excellent service. The only improvement I could suggest is a further e-mail on the order has been despatched or parcel tracking with the courier.

Bloody disappointed!!

Ordered Road King on the 29/8/14.Received the buggy 4 days later.
Wrote a 5 star review.After a few days the wife took out ,all ok. Next day
the battery charging lights stopper working and it smelt of burning.
Called service department to hear a recording telling they would be with me soon.After 20 mins a hung ,the happen twice.In the end I had to go through the sales team to get some one to talk to.A [name] who told me he would
send a engine to me in 8 days time on the 23 /09/14.today the 23/09/14 he phone tell the engine can't make it today it will be tomorrow.What great service,For a company that sell to the disabled they are a disgrace Rod Driscoll
