Update, problem solved, peace restored!
I have been a customer of pro rider for a long time but I am now losing faith in the company. I have tried 3 times to ring the service dept but all that happens is that I am told I am 4th in a queue and an engineer will ring me back. I have been waiting for over a week!! I paid for a service to be carried out on my scooter and a fault to be rectified, the fault is still there so now I cannot use the machine. What do I have to do to get help?
***Further to my earlier review I have now had my faith restored in the company by the speed with which I was contacted the next day, a discussion was held, and today an engineer arrived. He stripped down the scooter and discovered the engine had indeed worn out and straightaway fitted a new one in, which works perfectly. The holdup was caused somewhere in the communication sector, once sorted all was put right quickly and efficiently. Thank you Joe and Chris.

Beware of this company
Beware of this company. I bought a Road King mobility scooter from them which I must say is very good. But, their website is misleading and does not clearly state that the scooter is delivered boxed unless you pay an extra £100. They also show a phony discount of over £1,000. As the scooter is never sold at the RRP, this is also misleading and I wonder what Trading Standards would have to say about that! I submitted a review to their website but they censored it, cutting out the criticism completely. This is DISHONEST.

The worst customer experience ever!
Purchased a treadmill which was faulty. They collected it in February and promised a refund as they could not repair!
We are now in May and still no sign of a refund! Have called umpteen times and each time have been told you will get the refund next week etc. Have also been told to send email, when I do I never get any response.
They also fail to give full names which makes it very hard in chasing up the complaint. Very patronising customer service team to.
Very annoyed customer, wish I never used them.
Update. One refund has been received and clearerd. I will remove this review as a good will gesture.

7 years ago my husband brought me a electric bike it is the best bike that I have ever had. The orignal battery still holds its charge and has helped me to get about for work and leisure. I have only had to minor problems one with the seat abd the bakes which is general wear and tear. Only this week we have rung company as I lost my keys for bike this company said they can replace cyliner at a small charge which after 7 years is very impressive, I was so relieved as I was so upset that I might not be able to use it again that would have been like loosing a friend. Thank you Pro Rider.
Warranty issues
We ordered two bikes from Pro Rider on the 17th April 2016 and I have to say they did all arrive within a few days.
Whilst out riding one day my wife's bike throttle became unresponsive and did not work.
As we were several miles from our destination I decided to take a look for myself. The Throttle was easy to remove with one screw and there was another screw to the wiring assembly plate.
On opening the inspection plate I found one of the three wires had become detached because of a dry joint.
On returning home I contacted the service Manager at Pro Rider by phone. He asked me to take a photograph of the dry joint and send it to him.
After a week of trying to contact him by phone and e mail he first tried to tell me the bike was no longer in warranty, this was March 2017 still with over a month in warranty.
After getting him to admit the bike was infact still in warranty he then told me I would have to pay for the part as I had opened the throttle inspection cover and should have not taken any action even though we were several miles from our destination.
Having been a electrical job for several years I was amazed at his argument and he had even sent me a email telling me to solder the joint myself.
They were only interested in my view in getting out of the warranty.
There had been another problem from the outset of getting the bike with locking the handle bar to the wheel assembly, he told me to send it back to be inspected.
I by this time had decided there would be no point as the outcome would be the same as the Throttle, so I ordered the Throttle to be delivered and paid for what should have been a warranty part and explained I would get the other problem sorted by a proper bike shop.
We have had four bikes in total from Pro Rider but after this experience, never again, be warned.

I have aPro rider kingmobility scooter I have had it for three years.Pro rider are an excellent company I would not go to any body else.I recently had an issue with the back axle unfortunately my scooter unfortunately the guarantee has expired
An engineer came to me after a phone call the problem couldn't be fixed on site the whole back and it was taken away.
I will be for ever grateful to the service manager Joe Robinson who made sure that everything was fast tracked so I could get my scooter on the road again.yes all back together and now I have my legs back.
I find it unbelievable that so many people can write such negative feedback about the company.in my opinion if you have a problem one should always choose the right terminology when addressing the issue not Rant and rave.Joe Robinson listen to my concerns and appreciated what I was sayingThe way I was treated was first class I hundred percent.

Good bike poor after sales
I was delighted with my purchase of an electric bike but battery failed after 11 months whilst abroad. Didn't report it 'till return and another failure. Very difficult to get through to service and cannot get responses. Now Pro-Rider claim as 13.1/2 months after purchase before I reported failure and out of warranty they won't replace even if I make part payment. As battery cost nearly 60% of whole bike plus battery cost I find it totally unreasonable. Just try speaking to anyone in authority.

Pro rider elite scooter - great product terrible customer service.
Pro rider elite scooter - great product terrible customer service, previously sent wrong replacement battery! Again sent wrong replacement seat ordered due to faulty locking mechanism. Scooter still under warranty but opted to buy replacement faulty parts for hopeful quick Resolution, as totally reliant on scooter. Still waiting for correct seat to be delivered and incorrect one to be returned via courier. Attempted to complain via website - so far no reply and still waiting for scooter to have new seat as not SAFE!
Utterly shambolic service
My 6 month old Road King started losing power and the battery discharged very quickly (3 miles instead of the 30+ advertised) so I contacted Pro Rider - it took over a week before they returned my constant phone calls and I was told to return the batteries and charger to their workshop which I duly did. I telephoned a week later and spoke to Tom who informed me that there was a faulty ECU (on a battery???) and that my goods would be returned within 2 days. They weren't so I phoned again and spoke to Tom again, he denied even having the previous conversation with me and said that he'd check with the workshop then phone me back -he didn't. The following day I phoned again and spoke to a different person who said that one battery was faulty and would be replaced but that there were none in stock, a delivery was expected sometime next week. I have now been without my Road King for almost 3 weeks and am waiting for my goods to be sent back to me in the next week or so, I would have been housebound but fortunately I still have the trusty and battered old Shoprider. The customer service at Pro Rider is the worse I have ever experienced, it is worse thatn abysmal - such a shame as the product is very good but forget it if there is a problem...
Shocking customer service just lied from start
Had to constantly chase them took nearly 2 weeks to arrive and again blamed delivery company and delivery company blamed them would never use again and do not recommend anyone else useing them
Lets just see what there aftercare is like if somthin goes wrong with it in future as they claim to be the best of the best i cant see it if its anything like getting the scooter here
But at present it works and has made my nan happy and thats all that matters even if i have been lied to by them when i brought the red one they sent me a black
Terrible terrible terrible
Have had nothing but trouble from day 1 with my easyfold scooter. Asked for refund time and time again and have been fobbed off. Now the real joke comes- I've been told after a year of nothing but problems that the scooter "is not designed to be used outdoors" never heard something so stupid! I have made a complaint in writing and they haven't even got the decency to reply so now seeking advice from an adr scheme and ombudsmen.
Not impressed with constant delivery problems
I ordered a scooter on Wednesday last week. OK. So I did make an alteration to my order, but I was assured I would receive the scooter on Friday. It never arrived and when I rang up the order had not been processed properly. So I was assured it would come Tuesday instead. Tuesday arrived anf I get a call. Apparently the courier did not bother to collect the scooter and now it will come Wednesday.
If this continues I will cancel the damn order and demand a refund. Getting a scooter from a shop may be more expensive but at least I would not wait a week for it. I cannot walk far. This scooter is my legs for God's sake and I am paying a load of money (nearly £900) for it. I need to get out and about and this is just ridiculous.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE
I bought the electric bike in July 2015. Fine. Oct 2015 the Battery Fails and the seat fails . OK UNDER GUARNATEE
Well that's simple problems to replace as both come out easily.
After several phone calls to the maintence department and sales department
"Prorider " Can I box the bike and all the parts in the original boxes to courier to them ? No as I don't have the three boxes it came in any more. Can prorider supply me with the boxes to send back to them NO they cant.
I say I will get a friend and his 4x4 to drive down to them 200 miles round trip with the bike so they can check the bike out we go to lunch they replace the failed parts 3 minute job litteraly , No not allowed could take days weeks in the workshop as maybe a waiting list of failed / broken parts I ask you a 3 minute job. Will they REFUND the bike NO only at the discretion of the directors. WELL ITS UNDER GUARANTEE . Will they offer me a replacement on a temporary basis until the bike is fixed NO. But I need it to get to work daily, TOUGH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
