‼️ AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE ‼️

‼️ AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE ‼️

Absolutely shocking quality and even worse customer service.

I purchased a shed from Project Timber and it arrived in a completely unacceptable condition. Multiple panels were warped, several roof sections were covered in mould, trims didn’t fit, and some pieces didn’t even align properly leaving gaps you could see straight through. One of the panels was even a completely different type of wood to the rest.

It’s clear this product was never checked before being sent out.

The biggest issue was that these defects only became obvious once I had already started building it. By that point, I had no choice but to continue, as leaving it over the bank holiday would have resulted in it collapsing. I even had to pay for a carpenter to spend two days reinforcing and correcting the structure using additional materials something I should never have had to do.

Trying to get help was just as frustrating. I called multiple times on the day with no answer, only getting through minutes before they closed, when it was too late to get any proper support.

For the amount of money paid, I expected a product that was at least fit for purpose. Instead, I received poor-quality materials and zero real support when things went wrong.

I would strongly advise others to avoid and spend their money elsewhere pay that little bit more and you’ll get better quality product.

Feel very let down by this company

Wish I had read the bad reviews first, spent a lot of money on a garden office, the quality of material is poor, there are several missing parts and customer care (based in South Africa) do not respond to my emails. Its been a nightmare, avoid them at all costs.

It's falling apart already...but it was never well built to begin with

The summerhouse we purchased 8 moths ago has had several problems since it was built by project timber . Currently the doors won't close due to falling off their hinges as the crap quality screws have oxidised and crumbled. I suspect due to the many gaps in the shoddy quality structure and despite any sealing we have done, water is getting in.

We took delivery of our Grandmaster…

We took delivery of our Grandmaster lounge contemporary garden room at the end of August and we’re initially pleased with it. A week later they sent out a further set of window openings that didn’t match and were not requested.

All seemed to be ok so we kitted it out as an office and craft room with full electrics, upcycled antique and brand new furniture plus stock.

In January we noticed it seemed damp inside but put it down to the the lack of ventilation due to the bad weather.

The first week in February the roof failed with water pouring in, in various areas.

I contacted project timber straight away and they told me to send photos.

We sent photos, videos and asked for someone in management to come out or ring us back to discuss the issue.

We called and emailed constantly over a 2 week period as the leaks became worse, causing more damage daily.
We were told to email the management, who never once responded or called back.

We constantly had the same generic responses, albeit tweaked at times that just said to send photos and they would look into it.

Finally they emailed to say they would send some felt.
We got an email to say it would be delivered the next day, then we got a message to say it would be the following day and then the following day, when it was received.

I had advised that it was a new roof we needed still to be told that management had reviewed and decided that they would only authorise felt.

We are experienced in erecting summerhouse and sheds and never had any issues before.

We can only presume the felt is not up to standard and I only wish we had seen these reviews before purchasing from this company.

I come from a customer services background and have never known such poor service from any other company before.

I have since seen there is a Facebook page set up complaining about the quality and customer service aftercare.

I would not recommend this firm based on our experience, upset, stress, disappointment and costs we are expected to cover to repair the damage caused.
