Excellent kit - clear instructions - a brilliant home sauna

We are delighted with our sauna (Grindavik in thermowood) that arrived in kit form. Very well packaged and the delivery team went to great lengths to overcome access challenges. All components were of the highest quality and even though the process was a bit more challenging for me than I anticipated, I am thrilled with the result and very glad I could rope in a few more skilled pairs of hands to help me. The Polhus team always responded quickly to all our questions and helped us troubleshoot every detail.

I ordered a Jorvik sauna with wood burning stove in May 2025 and elected to construct myself.

I chose Polhus and the Jorvik sauna on the basis of the design, materials and the attention to detail. Many other barrel sauna available in the UK failed to match Polhus in terms of design, but they did do better on price however. Polhus are not the cheapest.

Placing the order was relatively straightforward but I would say Polhus could do better with more proactive correspondence. I did have to chase a few times to get updates. However, Katriina in the UK did answer all my questions and concerns quickly via email and WhatsApp.

The sauna was delivered when I requested and the kit was well packaged. No missing or defective parts. (Wood being natural is hard to guarantee consistent finish, grain, etc)

Construction was relatively easy, as long as you can get a few helping hands for some of the early stages. The main structure was complete in one weekend. The roof, burner and shingles completed the next week.

I did need some technical assistance and was connected to Malmö staff, including a senior member of staff who stepped in to assist when my allocated engineer had a small family crisis.

Since construction the sauna has been used heavily and now regard it as money very well spent. As the timber is thermo wood (oh that smell!) I do expect it to continue serve me for many years to come.

Very easy to make contact by phone. Ahmed, the Polhus rep who I dealt with, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I am currently at the point of placing an order for a sauna - and so far the service has been exemplary.

We ordered a 6 person barrel sauna with a changing area and we love it! Very happy with the delivery, it was easy to assemble and the quality is excellent. We've put it next to a lake to enjoy the sauna with a lake plunge, and it's very popular. Would definitely recommend this company.

Polhus provide excellent customer service and a quality sauna. We bought a barrel sauna to build ourselves. The kit was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. We love our garden sauna experience.

I did a lot of research before buying a Polhus Barrel sauna. They were not the cheapest but seemed to be high quality and I liked the ability to choose options on the website. The communication after ordering was excellent, and everything arrived on my drive in a double size pallet.
The build too 9 hours with me and a friend completing the sauna in a day. I used a friendly electrician to install the heater, with a dedicated cable running out of the main house fuse box.
We have had the sauna now for 11 months and have used it between 2-3 times per week consistently - it’s been brilliant. After a full winter the Sauna looks as good as new. I would definitely complement it with a cold pod however to maximise the enjoyment.
Should you get one? Deffo - no regrets.

I love my Polhus Sauna and use it almost every day (summer and winter). The assembly was relatively easy and quite enjoyable. Due to it's beautiful design It is the centre piece of my garden. Now for me to add the cold tub to pair it with :)

Apart from a slow confirmation of my order, Polhus has been great. The sauna kit arrived in excellent condition and our builder found it easy to assemble.

My sauna is pure joy, I could not be more happy. Well craft, great value for money and looks fabulous. If you enjoy the delights of a sauna you will not be disappointed. Customer service was outstanding from Katrina, we had a few issues with the shipping company but she was always available and helpful to resolve the issues (non of which were the fault of Polhus). I can not recommend them highly enough. My only regret, I should have bough from Polhus sooner.

We are very pleased with our Polhus Narvic sauna. We found the company to be customer service focused, and Ahmed did all he could to help us make this happen.
Initially we ordered the Narvic to be delivered fully assembled (worth the extra). Before we ordered we wanted to be sure it could be put in place, (not kerbside delivery) communication was great, we sent photographs, video and measurements to ensure seamless delivery. Ahmed went the extra mile to organise this for us. When the sauna arrived the haulier let Polhus down badly! The driver had every excuse as to why he couldn't possibly put it in place, even though he had a crane lift on board the lorry!!! He just couldn't be bothered, it was a very hot day, (he even told us it was his last day working for that company) We agreed by phone with Polhus not to accept delivery, and they would get it re-delivered...
To cut a long story short, (Polhus are now using a different company for UK deliveries). Eventually we decided on the self-build kit form Narvic sauna. The price difference was refunded immediately, no worries there. Its arrived on a pallet, the delivery driver was helpful, put it as close as possible, nothing was too much trouble.
We then set about building it, (we're a couple of pensioners with a combined age of 131) and we successfully did it! We are delighted with the results.
As much as we would have preferred it pre-assembled, rising to the challenge gave us a sense of achievement. It took us the best part of a week. The electrician came and installed the heater. We ordered a 6Kw Narvi heater which heats up the space and is perfect for this size sauna. Our electricity is single phase so we couldn't have the 9Kw model. It's been quite the learning experience!

Brilliant sauna- really good quality materials which assemble perfectly. I had the help of a couple of friends and all in all it took about a day to construct. Once constructed it has worked seamlessly and is comparable to the best saunas I’ve been in. Customer support is also superb. Highly recommended.

So we bought a big one..well why wouldn’t you if your getting a sauna you wanna enjoy it with all your family and friends! Due to the big option, I choose to save some pennies buy constructing it with a friend, took us two days to put up and a further day of a local electrician installing the awesome heating unit and the WiFi.
Since then we have used it at least three times a week, at about £5 per heat up.

I can’t recommend this enough such a life upgrade!
