You don't always get what you pay for but PHIX is a *tops* company to deal with..

I ordered a shirt that ended up being a bit too big for me. The Phix staff were accommodating and made the exchange process painless. The quality of the garment is great.

A couple of years ago, I ordered a few pieces from this brand and was genuinely impressed, especially with how fast and easy the return process was. Everything went smoothly, which gave me confidence to order from them again.

When I reordered a couple of months ago, the experience was completely different. It now feels like the entire responsibility of arranging a return falls on the client. You have to organise the shipment yourself, find the right delivery service, and deal with a lot of extra bureaucracy, mainly because of Brexit since the brand is based in the UK. Customer support tried to brush me off, simply telling me to check the terms and conditions on their site. If you live outside the UK, the return process becomes extremely complicated. I would not recommend taking that risk.

The pieces themselves also have issues. The sizing is not detailed at all. There is no clear indication of measurements like shoulder width or chest, and without those details the sizing becomes very unreliable. I ordered my usual size in trousers and they were too big. I tried again with another order and the sizing was still off. In the end, instead of sending them back, I had to pay for a tailor to fix them for me.

The shirt I ordered was also disappointing. The sewing was fine, but the fabric quality felt cheap and definitely not premium. Combined with the inconsistent sizing, buying shirts from them feels like a risk, especially now that returning items is so complicated.

Overall, if you live outside the UK, I genuinely would not advise ordering from this brand at the moment. The return process is too difficult and "hostile", the sizing is unreliable, and the quality does not justify the hassle.

During my first return, I cannot state the exact sequence of steps with certainty. Either the return brochure was already included inside the parcel, allowing me simply to place it back in the box and send it, or I downloaded it immediately and attached it before returning the item. In any case, the entire process was extremely smooth, quick, and easy, and I did not have to pay any fees for the return.

However, during my second attempt to return a product, the experience was completely different. The procedure felt hostile and significantly more complicated. I had to carry out every step entirely on my own. When I contacted customer support, I was told that I had to find my own shipping delivery company and handle the entire process independently. They provided examples of possible companies, but everything was left to me to arrange myself. Furthermore, unlike the first return, this time I had to pay all the costs associated with returning the item. This created a major inconsistency between the first and second return processes.

I would also like to note that I found it somewhat invasive to be contacted by email regarding the review I left on Trustpilot. To me, this felt more like an attempt at intimidation or gaslighting than a genuine effort to address my concerns. A simple public reply to my comment on Trustpilot would have been entirely sufficient.

Although after two attempts I have found my size in pants, these difficulties make me hesitant to make another purchase. While the product description may appear appealing, my previous experiences—combined with the lack of clear support regarding returns—make the decision challenging.

Finally, I acknowledge that you are making a commendable effort to offer products with a distinctive and refined aesthetic, which I genuinely appreciate. However, certain aspects of the customer experience still fall short of what one would expect from a premium brand. Even some fast-fashion platforms provide detailed measurements for their products. When purchasing premium items online, I expect more comprehensive product information and a smoother, more customer-friendly return process. Without these elements, the purchase becomes an unnecessary risk.

I can’t find my size in the States. It’s nice to order without a tailor having to recut the entire garment.
The quality is superb. The material. The lining. The cut and finish.
Thank you for continuing business in the USA. We are going thru tumultuous dark times with the present government. Thank you for providing us an outlet. Canadian products are no longer available on the shelves of our supermarkets. Thanks for holding steadfast.
