Excellent after-sales support. Our stairs for a self-build took approx two years from start to completion due to delays with other works. Despite the significant delay on our part - Pear Stairs (Jan in particular) still made an effort to get any queries answered and any missing parts sent out immediately throughout the process. Would highly recommend. Quality of the stairs is top notch and we're pleased we opted for the slightly thicker timber which is creak free. Just check your handrail before fitting (if integral to the stairs as ours was) as it cannot be swapped out later if it has any defects!

I found the designer very unhelpful on…
I found the designer very unhelpful on the design, the delivery time was too long, and on a date that i could not change, parts were missing, and it had not been 'dry fitted' as some notches still had rounded corners from the router, not squared off as it should be.

Very good company to deal with Julian came out and measured the stairs perfect when the carpenter fitted them they fit like a glove perfect very well made too and the price was very reasonable as well

Disappointing
I ordered some stair parts in plenty of time for a job I had booked in and after having to chase them up when my order wasn’t delivered to be told handrail wasn’t In stock I had to rearrange with my customer , I was told by pear stairs that my order would be delivered on Friday and only 3 packages out of the 7 arrived ,pear stairs have taken no responsibility for the courier leaving me sitting here twiddling my thumbs with not all the materials delivered wasting my own time as a self employed tradesperson

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and your experience you have had with Pear Stairs.
We always aim to source non-stocked stair parts as quickly as possible so that we can dispatch your order in full. We will always send orders out in their entirety unless specified by our customer.
I can see you ordered with us on Wednesday the 1st of October, your parts were sent out on the 9th for delivery on the 10th of October. (7 working days).
We do take full responsibility for orders placed with us. However, we have to use a Multi drop courier that will deliver the type of long length parts that are required for staircase refurbs.
I understand that you called on Monday the 13th of October to report that only 3 of the 7 packs had been delivered Friday. We advised that the remaining 4 were on the courier’s vehicle and out for delivery that day.
You requested an ETA so we emailed the courier with the consignment details asking the depot near you if they could get hold of the driver and give an ETA, we had not heard back so I called our local depot to see if they had received any response from their driver. They tried while I was on the phone but could not get hold of the driver. From looking at the drivers route they were able to say that it would be delivered before 4pm this afternoon. You then emailed my colleague just before 15:30 thanking her for doing what she could and for her help.
The latest order you placed this Friday the 10th of October has left us and should have been delivered.

I never normally do reviews but Pear Stairs were one of the best suppliers we worked with through our renovation and I wanted to record how happy we were with everything about the process. The stairs are all in Ash and absolutely beautiful. The whole team were incredibly clear and helpful about the steps to order and design the stair, and the turnaround from order to design to delivery was quick and smooth.
