Payroo must be the WORST software company
Payroo must either be sold, be taken over or shut down! They don't have the best software, yet possess the WORST customer service team in Britain! I would STRONGLY advise anyone to read the Reviews before buying this service. This is easily, Britain's worst software company.
Advice to the owner/s: invest in AI and get rid of your Support Team!
Poor p11d and poor customer service
Generally very happy with the way that this software works for payslips and CIS. The p11d functionality though is NOT good at all. Tried submitting one today 17/05/2024 for the year ending 05/04/2024 and the software won't let me apparently because the year had not moved from 2022/23 to 2023/24 - not sure why. I tried calling their helpline and the gentleman I spoke to was not only unhelpful but he did not appear to know from what date the software will be able to facilitate submisisons nor would he listen to my issue as he was abrupt! I suppose, if you get something that is cheap as chips, the outcome is this type of of poor customer service. I asked the gentleman to improve though. I hope he will take my suggestion and be better. The payslips and CIS functionality is good - just the p11d functionality is not as user friendly as expected!

Forget the customer service, you are on your own. They do not exists, but don't worry they will still bill you and invoices are always on time!

Absolutely terrible service. The program is not working. I cannot complete my payroll. No one available to help. No telephone service. Email gives you an automated reply. I am at a loss as what to do. Anyone knows who their regulatory body is??

I have used Payroo for some time without any issues. However, needing to recover my sign in details, and having provided the necessary documentation, I have received no contact from Payroo. I spoke with somebody on the phone. This person was in way helpful and showed no interest in resolving my problem. I’ll be looking for another payroll option.

Absolutely terrible service
Absolutely terrible service. Have used this software for a while and, although not particularly user friendly, it does the job. Unfortunately one issue and I have discovered that the customer service is abysmal. They basically told me what I'd done wrong, said it was my fault, my problem, and said there was NO way to correct it. HMRC say error needs to be corrected in Payroll software, I'm stuck!
Bye Payroo hello 12 Cloud Payroll
I have used Payroo for a few years now and I generally felt it was good enough for me. When they started to charge I switched to Sage and then ended up switching back as I did prefer Payroo. I have had a few issues in the time I have used it and have emailed for support. I have always had a reply that was of minimal help. One informed me I should try reading the help section first instead of emailing.Which I thought was a little rude.
The invoicing was a mess at first and I was being invoiced 3-4 times a month, but it was because it was back dated.
I have left Payroo this tax year as the cost is not worth the package and I have now found 12cloud payroll that uses the exact same platform but is free. Also it was recommended by HMRC
Unbelievable service and attitude
Unbelievable service and attitude. I have experienced almost all comments in other negative feedbacks. I think this is sinking ship. Their published accounts not looking good. I think these chaps played with a matches and got house on fire, now don't know how to put this out and watching their investment burning down to the ground. I am angry and sorry for them at the same time. Jump the ship before they dragged you down.
Wow, So Unprofessional
Wow, I thought it was only me who had experienced what I am have but obviously not. I agree with all the one-star feedbacks, however I would give zero or minus if I could.
Telephoned Payroo back in December for some help and the person I spoke to was totally unprofessional, useless, rude, no manners, no customer service skills and by his attitude issues it seemed like he didn’t want to work for this company. When I requested to speak to a manger to raise a formal complaint he refused me, I then asked for the managers name he refused me, I then asked for this name and he refused me then he put the phone telephone down on me.
I then emailed salesatpayroo.com, invoice_queryatpayroo.com, & account_queryatpayroo.com (got an “address not found” for the account_query email address, but like many other on here I had no reply. But funny enough when I sent my email I got a reply back straight away from a query I sent to supportatpayroo.com prior to this telephone call. I am sure it was the same person I wanted to complain about trying to act all professional. (it wouldn’t surprise me if the same person deleted the complaint emails I sent or may be they are the manager/owner themselves)
Because I only pay £6 per month as It’s a small company I am continue use the service as I have learned on how to use the system for what I need to use it for, however the issue I had the service I received was useless as per my concerns above. For those who do not know and need a simple payroll system, HMRC offer a FREE payroll system, it is a basic system, but you can also print simple payslips and do all the necessary payroll things you need. When I got no help from Payroo, I telephoned HMRC and this is how I found out, and they were very nice in guiding me on how to use the system.
Why are there no stars?
Why are there no stars?! This 'company' is an absolute joke. You can speak to them but 'someone else' deals with that, you are not able to speak to them, it is only via email. The email gets rejected for this help. Therefore, you have to go through sales, sales do not deal with these enquiries and pass you through to support. Round we go again!
He said that the only person who can gain access to customer information is the MD (I wanted a confirmation that the account is closed) you cannot speak to the MD, the MD is untouchable, and unspeakable too!

Customer services skills can be written on the back of a stamp. Never known such a useless program. PLEASE use another one! these are horrendous. Will not help, cannot help, will not put you through to anyone to talk to, answer your emails with the least amount of effort, and usually no help.
Rude, hostile and patronising!
Very poor customer service to the point of hostility, rudeness and evasiveness. I received a reply from an email stating 'in simple terms' when I had argued their previous answer was unhelpful. They don't answer questions - just blame errors on HMRC's implementation of new regimes which is completely not the issue at all. For basic functionality, it works OK but the reports are wrong and pull through the wrong figures by tax month which has caused me a lot of problems having to manually push through the correct figures into the correct tax month, amending all my journals on my accountancy software, and wasted a lot of my time. I will be leaving their 'care' very shortly!
Lack of Payroo Customer Service
I have been using Payroo for the last couple of years and it's an ok system to work with.
HOWEVER, Payroo are now charging a MONTHLY fee, trouble is this MONTHLY fee is being deducted from my bank account FOUR times or more a MONTH!!!
I have written two emails to Payroo asking for an explanation, to no avail, they don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge my emails. I am at a loss as to where I go from here, perhaps if I cancel my direct debit, then they can chase ME for payment???
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service - I have never been treated in such a hostile way by any other company, or dreaded phoning a help line so much in the 10 years I have been with my company. The software does not handle holidays for staff and does not report correctly - I would not recommend Payroo in any circumstance, especially as they now charge for this dreadful service.

Customer service is abysmal. I f I have payroll issues I need them dealing with asap .I do not want to be filling forms and waiting 3/4 days for a reply .Also arbitrary introduction of monthly fees stinks.
