Luv car wash Damaged My Car, Then Stopped Responding

On May 22, 2026, I visited the LUV Car Wash location on La Cienega in Los Angeles. After the wash, I discovered damage to my vehicle’s side mirror that was not present before my visit.

As soon as I became aware of the damage, I documented it with photographs and attempted to contact the company regarding the issue. Since then, I have sent multiple emails and follow-up requests seeking assistance and a review of my claim.

The estimated repair cost is approximately $450.

What has been most frustrating is not the existence of a dispute over the damage itself, but the lack of communication. Despite providing documentation and attempting to resolve the matter directly, I have received little to no response regarding my claim.

Customers understand that businesses may investigate claims and may not always agree with them. However, customers should reasonably expect communication and a good-faith effort to address concerns when they arise.

I am sharing my experience so other consumers are aware and so that company management has another opportunity to review and respond to this matter.

I remain willing to resolve this issue directly with LUV Car Wash and would welcome contact from management regarding my claim.

My new truck was damaged there 4 weeks…

My truck was damaged there a little more than a month ago due to a malfunction with their equipment and poor judgement of their staff. They allowed a truck that was raised with wider tires to enter the car wash. Their equipment couldn't pass over the hood of that truck, so that truck stopped. However, it kept moving my truck along until it pushed my front bumper into the trailer hitch of that truck. I have repeatedly emailed and called their customer service dept and incident reporting team. I have not heard back once from anyone regarding the status or process to get my truck repaired. They just say that the claim is under review. This is horrible customer service from their corporate office.

Unsatisfactory Visit with General Manager Alan at 8714 Atlantic Blvd Jacksonville Florida 32211

I am writing to formally report a highly unsatisfactory experience that occurred at your establishment located at 8714 Atlantic Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida 32211. This incident primarily involved General Manager Alan, whose conduct demonstrated a concerning lack of professional courtesy and customer service.

During my visit, I encountered an issue that an attentive attendant was diligently attempting to resolve. Their patience and efforts to address a service disconnect were commendable. However, the situation was unfortunately exacerbated by General Manager Alan's unprofessional demeanor. His approach was not only unhelpful but also displayed a marked disregard for customer concerns and the diligent work of his subordinate. Such behavior is not only disrespectful to customers but also undermines the positive efforts of other staff members.

A General Manager should exemplify leadership, problem-solving, and a commitment to exceptional customer care. Regrettably, Mr. Alan's actions on this occasion fell far short of these fundamental expectations, creating an unnecessarily negative and frustrating environment. I believe his conduct warrants a thorough review, and I strongly recommend that he receive comprehensive refresher training on professional communication and customer service protocols to ensure such incidents are not repeated.

Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I trust that appropriate action will be taken to address these concerns.

They damaged my car

More than month ago, LUV Car Wash at Reseda in California scratched my brand-new car during their wash. The manager reviewed the security footage, confirmed it was their fault, filed a report, and gave me a business card with their claim department’s contact info—promising I’d receive a follow-up call.

As for now, no one has contacted me. I’ve called the claim department multiple times—no answer. I also sent an email—still no response.

I reached out to customer service, and they told me to go back to the wash location and speak to the manager directly. I went there on a Tuesday evening. The manager wasn’t in, but a staff member promised the manager would call me that night or the next day. That never happened.

I returned on Thursday. The manager had seen my note but took no action to help. All he said was, “Keep waiting. Our claims person is really busy—she handles claims for 70 locations nationwide.” Fantastic.

In short: if you want your car damaged and your concerns ignored, LUV Car Wash is the place to go.
