I've been a customer since 2011. Once that meant something. Not anymore. Now our queations and complaints are out-sourced. This year, 2026, i have noticed a significant downgrade in customer service. They put you on a perpetual loop. They don't answer your questions directly, it seems they keep you on the phone or chat just to wear you down. Then they send you up the chain of command. Is it really, it seems more like they pass you around, and then they don't help you or they don't help your case. PayPal customer service shows favor of the seller. The whole purpose of going through PayPal was to have protection against a fraudulent seller. I have the pay in (4). As soon as I make my last payment I will close my PayPal forever!

I do not recommend PayPal. I was a user for 20 years. Many Chinese companies with American names that did not order or sent different products are PayPal customers. You come out on the losing end if you file a complaint. I have experienced this many times. PayPal associates with shady companies, and you, as a customer, are the victim.

this is my opinion, as asian people , for topup ballance on paypal not for everyone, whats the problem? many people using paypal for online jobs as i do, but, not everyone can topup the ballance because not everyone have Credit Card

Everytime we encounter some problem with payments (received or sent) the customer service is no existing or very very terrible. They dont even try to pretend they care. We lost money because of their anti-client approach, they allow scammers to be on their platform. We understand that there are situations where they cannot fix mistakes on client side- but I would says that at least they could pretend to try.

The vendors that they operate with (especially in China) are not thoroughly vetted leaving the customer to deal with the issue and resolve. They have duty check to the vendor and their terms and conditions before they allow them to operate via their payment system. They never want to get involved and their resolution centre is terrible and no assistance whatsoever in trying to assist. Never user PayPal.

PayPal has significantly declined compared to what it was 10 years ago. I used this platform for many years because of its convenience, but this will be my last time using it. My issue was never properly resolved through their compliance process, and I lost over $460 from two transactions.
I even contacted their legal team, but my case was dismissed without proper review. Based on my experience, I recommend considering other modern payment platforms that actually value customer service and protection.
This platform is no longer trustworthy when it comes to dealing with merchant scams. I also would not recommend using PayPal for installment plans, because if problems arise on the merchant’s side, you may still lose your money even if the transaction is marked as “refunded.”
Paypal the Backdoor for Fraudelent Transactions.
Why are PayPal reviews getting worse while PayPal constantly claims to improve its platform? I could attempt to answer that question — but not for free.
I signed up for a “free trial” on Creative Fabrica at zero cost. When asked to provide my bank card details and PayPal information, I refused to complete the final step and exited immediately. I then removed Creative Fabrica as a third-party connection through Google.
Yet somehow, Creative Fabrica still managed to charge €71.86 without me providing bank card details or my PayPal account email for authorization.
This should raise serious concerns for tech watchdogs and consumer protection agencies. Businesses that retain user data after accounts are deleted may still be able to access connected payment systems without proper consent or authorization.
In my case, it appears the zero-cost trial authorization was enough to create a pathway into a linked third-party payment platform. All a questionable business appears to need is a user signup, a “free trial” with zero upfront cost, and access to an email linked to payment services. From there, unauthorized charges can allegedly be pushed through connected accounts.
Whether intentional loophole or system failure, this is exactly why trust in payment platforms continues to decline. PayPal and similar services need to close these security gaps, and companies exploiting free-trial systems to gain unauthorized payment access should be investigated and removed immediately.

Atrocious. My account was permanently deactivated because of apparent suspicious activity. I uploaded some documents to verify my account... that was all. Awful.
PayPal is a scam
I made a purchase through PayPal for an item I saw on Facebook. It was nothing more than a scam. I paid the amount in full through my debit card. Then when I logged into the PayPal account to see how long it would take to be shipped, it said my PayPal account was permanently closed. This after paying for the item, nearly 30% in taxes (which is a racket in itself), a fee, and 9.99 for expedited shipping. I suggest steering clear of anything associated with this company
Uncaring, no help at all when my account was used fraudulently
My PayPal account was hacked +used to purchase goods for over £100 i noticed it +contacted paypal immediately who said she my account had been compromised +to change my password which I did
They also stopped the fraudulent payment
Within 15 minutes I got an email saying they had investigated it +there was no fraudulent activity on my account despite it being used to buy goods for over £100 which wasn't me
Are paypal in collusion with these fraudulent companies I thought they were supposed to safeguard +protect their users??
