It's ok

The restaurants are hard to find, the card is great for sightseeing. But there is no time saving with the card. So if there are lot of people it's taking time

Good.

Unfortunately, I couldn't go to Pantheon. I made 3 attempts. The first one, the line was very long. Second attempt I arrived and It was already closed (mistake on websites about the close time. Third attempt, again it was with a very long line. I think it should have some kind of special line only for people who already have bought the Paris pass.

It’s worth it IF YOU MAKE IT WORTH IT

It’s worth it IF YOU MAKE IT WORTH IT. We are power users so I’m sure we got our moneys worth. And there were a lot of attractions we would never have discovered without it. I would have never eacargot without the pass. Having said that, here’s the bad:

Some places seemed to have a bit of resentment with it. They all know what it is when you tell them “go city”. Some are amazing like the waiter at the escargot place (we got that as a “free” app and then bought a regular meal behind it) while others nearly shove the thing in front of you and walk off expecting that’s the end of the service. Good news, since they already scanned your pass, you can just leave. No waiting on the ticket. The perfume making was great too, but of course it ends with the upsell of house perfumes at the end. Still, the experience was excellent. But if you’re not a power user, and you won’t do 4-5 things a day, you may have trouble getting value before the pass expires. Also, put all of the locations on a map and then try to schedule your deals in certain areas rather than bouncing around town. And check their hours and days they’re open.

Now for the museum pass add on. Skip it unless you’re getting it WAYYYY in advance. Our main reason to get it was the Louvre. Close second: d’Orsay. Didn’t make it to either. Even in the off season the Louvre was booked 2 weeks out. You can wait in line but the lines look like they’re hours long. So unless you show up a few hours before it opens, you’re not getting in. And while they do suggest booking early, they don’t make it clear to check that before buying the pass. So the value may not be there. And remember, you can only use the museum pass on days your gocity is active. So if you’re going to spend a day in the louvre, you’ve knocked out a full day of value on both passes!

As a side note, when you get to Paris, go to the ticket machine, buy “a pass” and then load it with 10 or 20 T+ tickets. There’s a discount in 10 packs. A cool feature is you can download their app and check your balance and I think even reload it! We left with just one of 20 unused tickets. You’ll tap pay that card at the terminals and getting in the buses. Very easy. Know that the tickets to go to Versailles are different though.

Just ok for a first time in Paris.

Was very confusing to use. The museum pass being separate caused some issues, and I didn’t realize that my 3 day pass was only good for 2 days at museums - it’s very hard to plan around this as the museums I wanted weren’t together. Was annoyed that there were time restrictions on so many things, and that you had to be on a “tour” for things like the Eiffel Tower and you couldn’t just go on your own. Wasn’t as “all-inclusive” as it implied. Restaurants were difficult to get to, would be nice if they were next to other sites, or in the route of the bus tour. Some locations were not accurate, which is very frustrating for a tourist. Was good for a first time in Paris, worth the money, but probably wouldn’t buy it again.

Highly recommend. Saved time and money.

This was my first trip to Paris and the Paris Pass made planning so much easier. They included most of my ‘must sees’. If you’re planning any of the walking tours (and I highly recommend them), be sure you check the schedules. These must be prebooked and some are very limited on days/times. But I was able to fit in all the ones I wanted. I also saved quite a bit of money with the pass, and didn’t squeeze in everything. We wanted to be sure to have plenty of time between events to eat and relax.

Double-check EVERYTHING if you’re…

Double-check EVERYTHING if you’re travelling with a group of students. I had a great experience with it while traveling with my family and made sure to get it for the students I brought to France. NOT as successful and it helped SO much (and I lived on the generosity of the people with whom I spoke) that I spoke French!!

Overall really very satisfied

Overall really very satisfied. I managed to have great experiences and to save a lot.
The attractions are mostly really well chosen.
Improvements? Would be great if one wouldn't have to have both The Paris Pass and The Museum Pass credentials. In some places they wanted the Museum Pass, not the Paris Pass, fortunately I had it printed.
On the web site it is difficult to go through all of the attractions to plan.
And then you mostly have to every time go to the site of the actual giver of the service to reserve. I didn't appreciate that I had to leave my credit card info for the walking tours. If one reserves and doesn't show up, they will charge your credit card for the full amount of the tour...
Would be necessary to organize in a better way the website experience for the users, to be brief. And yes, more skip the line experiences to save precious time. Especially for the Tour Eiffel. I had to go through half town to check the pass even if I didn't mean to attend - I reserved, so I had to show up (they would charge my card otherwise) I'd love to go but didn't because I really didn't want to spend all morning just on Tour Eiffel, mostly in a line to be able to climb it by foot to the first level... Since you have to reserve time slots for the main attractions you have to organize things around that. It was not possible for me to take the walking tours because they are at a certain time 2-3 times a week. Other things time specific I also had to skip. But there are so many beautiful things to experience, and I was all in all quite satisfied. I can reccomend it if you are like me and want to see and experience a lot, with this card you can if you organize yourself well. Otherwise better to buy tickets individually. Thanks Paris Pass, I had a great time!

Don't get sick--UPDATED

Update to my original review: First, it's obviously a plus that GoCity replied to my original review, and they did indeed contact me by email. Second, they gave us a partial refund, another plus. So I've upgraded my review to reflect that they're responsive to customer concerns. I gave them only 3 stars because my original contact was directly with the company, as I indicated in my original review, and they did not offer me any relief on that contact. Only a negative review on Trustpilot got us a satisfactory resolution. Still, they did do the right thing in the end.

It's important to read the fine print before committing to this expense. My wife and I bought two 6-day passes, but unfortunately got Covid after we had already started to use them. We called the company, but the answer was that it was too bad for us: Once we used the passes even one time, we just lost our money even though we hardly used them. It's a terrible business model.

Overall a great experience

We (my friend and I) bought the Paris Pass to make the most out of our trip and were overall pleased with it. Especially the food was very nice.
I would recommend planning early ahead of time, which we didn't really do, otherwise, we would probably have done more or other things.

Here is an overview of what we did and what we thought of it:
- Seine River Cruise:
Would deffinately recommend it around sunset! It was lovely to see the city turn from day to night while sailing the Seine. Be aware you have to get the tickets yourself, so there will be a lot of standing in line!

- Eiffel Tower Guided climb:
A very insightful tour with a bit of waiting in line. But while we waited, out guide told us a lot about the history of the tower and the people behind it.

1-Day Big Bus Paris Hop-On-Hop-Off tour:
A lovely ride around a lot of Paris. The sound in the speakers on board is pretty bad tho, which made it hard to hear the guide.

- Arc de Triomphe:
Lots of stairs, but worth it. The view from the to was amazing. (We wish we knew ahead of time that it is possible to go to the restroom inside the Arch).

- Parisian Breakfast at Cafe Louise:
Pretty delicious, good amount, nice staff - all in all; good!

- French Apéro in Saint-Germain-des-Prés:
Delicious cocktails and small bites of French delicacies. No need to say more.

- Perfume mini workshop:
Such an interesting and different type of activity. We were presented with the ingredients of their flower-of-the-year perfume and got the chance to use those to create the best version for our selves. The tour of the museum afterwards was exciting as well and we learned a lot about perfume.

- Croque Monsieur & Champaigne cocktail by the Seine:
SO delicious! We were served a big croque monsieur that was even better than the picture looked! And we had the option to choose a bottle of Coke instead of the cocktail, which was really nice!

- Morning Macarons in Montmartre:
If you are planning on walking there be aware that it is on top of a hill. The Macarons are very delicious!

- Notre Dame and the Archeological Crypt Experience:
Probably the worst part of our trip. Our guide didn't really tell us anything about the Cathedral and the fire that we didn't already know after 5 mins on the internet. Then we walked around the Cathedral, and were told a little bit about a local book store before more walking towards some picture exhibition about the restoration after the fire, that we were told to just look at ourselves. At last we were guided down the stairs to the crypts were our guide left us. For the entire tour (25 mins), the guide probably talked for about 5-10 mins. Very dissapointing.

- The Gourmet Chocolate Museum Choco-story:
A very tasty experience! The museum has a lot of interesting history about exploring and making chocolate. The best part, tho, were the dispencers where we were allowed to eat as much delicious chocolate as we wanted. Yum! Afterwards we had the best hot chocolate made of warm milk with a block of chocolate of our own choosing.

- French Sweet Crepes at Bistro Marbeuf:
Very great taste and a nice amount for a breakfast!

Tickets to Louvre Museum never e mailed until after closing

I ordered tickets for Louvre Museum for 4 adults and two children for $139.00 overpriced. Then ParisTick never e-mailed to Museum. We fought with Ticket agents at Museum who called Paris Tick who said they had no record of the sale? I had the order ID# but still ParisTick refused to authorize our entry. At 7:15 PM tickets arrived in my e mail but it was too late! Our reservations were at 3:30 PM...I called Paris Tick and they continued to lie! They are scammers.!

Get full and for the siene river crusie, you still have to get in line again for the tickets even though they are paid for with this pass. There are no directions on the go app that tells you that you have to line up for paper tickets again. I do not recommend this at all. I feel my money was wasted.

One of the best city passes among all the other cities I've tried

Unlike other city passes which provide a small discount to some attractions, this pass provides complete 100% discount so you don't have to keep doing the math of how much you are saving off the normal price. This pass also includes a few snacks/drinks at some local places, I highly recommend the O Chateau and Cafe Luise ones, however bistro Marbeuf and Cadet de Gascone I do not recommend. This Pass also offers experiences such as wine tasting at Caves de Louvre and Fragonard Perfume Workshop, I have enjoyed and recommend both, I also did the Eiffel Tour guided climb but I do not recommend this. The only aspect that this Pass can make better is to have a deal with RATP/RER so that it can include a discount for the transportation in and around Paris, but other than that, Paris Pass is pretty great as it is. The savings are real, I did the math, I paid 170 euro for the PP for 6 days and I would have paid 520 euro for the same attractions without PP.

Expensive no show

You will probably want to make the most of your Paris Pass, but at the same time you need to reserve for the activities in advance. Be careful, if you got any problems during your stay and miss an activity, because no show are charged by ExperienceFirst. The fee does not appear on their website, you will know it when it's already on your credit card $$$.
