Effiicient and professional locksmith
Needed a locksmith to fix a faulty front door lock. Owen was there within 24 hours and was able to replace the faulty part there and then. Owen kept me posted by phone and text as to when he would arrive and was friendly and efficient, explaining everything he was doing and why. Payment was easy, with invoice and receipt and a lovely thank you note for using his company, sent before the day was out.

I called Owen the Locksmith in February 2020 when one of my front door locks broke and I called them again yesterday when the other front door lock went. Yesterday I came home to find the lock dodgy, reckoned it was about to break completely, called them on the off chance that they were still around after 6:30pm and they answered and offered to come out the very next day. They are friendly, reliable, easy to establish contact with and, for me, local. I also trust that when they explain what is wrong with the lock and the different options I have, they're being honest and transparent. Today it was all done in 25 minutes and what could be a bit of a stressful event went super smoothly!

Poor service
Poor service, turns out they dont guarantee their work. Called out at the end of May to adjust a composite door we couldn't lock. He spent 2 hours and eventually got it to lock. A week later we had the same problem. 2 months later we called them back, but they wanted to charge us again as it was another adjustment and said they dont guarantee their workmanship. Will now find a professional to fix it. Would not use this company again.

We attended your property at the end of May 24 when you reported your main door wasn't locking. On arrival you explained that the door in question had historic problems and that the installers had previously returned once to resolve the issues but had left site and never returned.
On attendance our findings were that the locking issue was being caused by the door leaning too deeply into the side strikers. Because the door is not square to the frame and was already fully adjusted on the hinges, the only way to ensure secure locking on the day was to conduct a temporary repair by repositioning the side striker and removing the back boxes. Everything was explained to you in advance of any work being done and after your agreement the work was completed and the door was locking to your satisfaction.
Two months later you phoned to inform us that your door wasn't locking again. We called to give you an ETA at which time you became very agitated that we might charge for a return visit but before we could explain to you why, you became verbally aggressive and ended the call by threatening to post scathing reviews.
Great, professional service
Ryan from Owen the Locksmith was very professional, managing to unlock the door in a matter of seconds and made the adjustments needed to the door fixings to allow me to have a fully functioning door again. He explained the problem and what he was doing and I felt the cost was very reasonable. Would definitely use the company again.

Despite there being no urgency for our requirement, a very pleasant technician turned up within a few hours of my phone call. He sized up the problem in no time, suggested the best way of sorting it out together with a reasonable cost, located the item needed from the stock on his van and in less than 15 minutes had completed the job. An excellent experience and well deserving my 5 star award.
