Ottocast E2 device

Once ordered, it was delivered in 10 days. Pretty impressive since it was shipped from China. Once I connected to my E2 unit to the car it only took 30 secs to boot up from cloud sim, a little longer to configure to hotspot. Now a seamless operation. Android auto can be a little laggy but for the money you can't go wrong

Ottocast sold me the Minicube 3.0 USB…

Ottocast sold me the Minicube 3.0 USB on 29th November 2025. The USB worked as a wireless Carplay transmitter for my VW Polo Model 2020 okay, but never really as the super fast device as advertised - it took about 2-3 minutes before it connected to CarPlay, not within seconds. Then in February 2026 it started already to cut out repeatedly and had to be re-started several times even for short trips. At the end of February 2026 the Mini Cube USB completely stopped working. When reporting the issues to Ottocast, I had to write at least 10 emails to repeatedly explain the fault.... for a solving process at Ottocast customer service, support was partially an automatic computer response system without truly specifically reading my complaints... the answers were repeatedly the same as before. Then after 2 days I got a response from a real person, to record a video though they were given very detailed fault descriptions repeatedly, even with a screenshot about downloads from the installed software,and photos of the system screen and fault messages. My defect Mini Usb showed exactly the same symptoms as many other customers had prior to me, hence is a known problem to Ottocast.
For me, the question remains, what are the production process quality measures, and endurance testing standards, and how is it possible that so many customers facing the same problems after mostly only a few weeks?
Their electronics are not very durable it appears.
It was now the 2nd USB from their company which failed in 3 months.
Their products keep failing on a huge scale, seeing this many customers on reviews - with the same products failing in short time frames.
After all, they now decided to replace my faulty devise...I hope it lasts a bit longer than the ones before. What they should have done :
1. Production Quality Process standards to be improved
2. Labority testing standards to be improved according to standard automotive processes also applied in China
3. Presentation of long life test under temperature, vibrations, humidity and since when are products made from such improved standards - a cut-off date to provide safe prooducts to last.

4. How can a customer recognise such improved products - how can they visibly identified by the customer in order to prevent continued failure products in the supply chain.
5. Old and defect products should be scrapped.

Power adaptor stopped working after two…

Power adaptor stopped working after two days, initially not impressed with customer care, however credit where credit is due they contacted me directly and sorted the issue, reimbursed cost of the generic power adaptor that I bought to get the screen working so have edited my initial review accordingly. Ottoscreen AI now working perfectly and happy with the purchase.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
It cuts out constantly, which I can understand could be an issue. Giving the company the benefit of the doubt, I have emailed support to have some help on what to do, or how to fix it.
After 6 emails with no response, I give up. What a joke this business is and the junk product supplied at a ridiculous margin.

Do not buy

Do not buy! Parcel never arrived as delivered by evri and now I’m £40 out of pocket and just want a refund. But the customer service is shocking! Just avoid!

This device is not working on my 2…

This device is not working on my 2 cars, and i have a 2019 and 2018 nissan not working at all i place a refund, and they gave me the runn around they send me a label that is not working with the postal service i send emails, and I have not received any positive in for mation they are scamers

SCAM!

It is a scam:
1. It is not a German company, but it's somewhere in China.
2. The https certificate of their site is invalid, you have to change the link to http.
3. There is no return policy for defective product.
4. The product broke after one week.
5. Any email to the support is answered with the same automated response, endlessly.
6. Any call to the support results in waiting then being told that all operators are busy and to write to the support email.
7. Same experience for any customers wanting to return the product for any reason.

Doesn't work and can't return

Ordered the ottocast A2Air Pro for Android Auto.
The website implies it should work out the box with my car and my car/phone software is fully up to date.
It took me 3 days to try and get the connection working, and I work in tech so I'm not exactly a novice. Not helped by out of date instructions.

When it did finally connect, it struggled to run multiple apps at once. For example, music stutters if I try and use maps at the same time. Or it will crash completely.
It also disconnects regularly and then expects me to unlock my phone to reconnect. Not exactly hands free.

And to make matters worse, they want me to jump through hoops with their support trying all the connection techniques I've already used rather than allowing me to return a product that clearly doesnt work as intended.

Ottocast is a scam. Avoid at all costs.

Ottocast website showed the item would be compatible with my vehicle, which it is not. Tried to return and they offered me $30 (item was $114.99), which I refused. They then sent a shipping label to be used through USPS to return for a full refund- label was fake, verified when I tried to drop it off at the post office. The company then told me to ship to a different address and pay for shipment and they would refund me once they received the item. Neither addresses are shown online to be linked to their business in any way. Reported to my bank as fraud and was refunded through them.

Yet again another Chinese company…

Yet again another Chinese company hiding that they are Chinese. You only find out once paid and you get your tracking number, you track your purchase to find out it’s not in the UK but in china and takes weeks to arrive. Very deceptive and poor business. I’d avoid this one.

The car play is really plug and play

The car play is really plug and play device. I plugged in my car and it shown up itself. Connected to phone Bluetooth, given permissions and everything was ready for me. I am bit disappointed that I can't get Google maps on the car play device.

Avoid this company.

My experience with Ottocast has been very disappointing. The device I received was defective and unusable in my vehicle. The user interface was not compatible with my car, which made the product unreliable and not fit for purpose.

After reporting the issue, I attempted to return the item and request a refund. Instead of resolving the problem, I was offered a small discount or a replacement, neither of which addressed the core issue. I made it clear that I did not want a replacement and only wanted a full refund, as the product does not function correctly.

Communication was slow and unhelpful, and the return process was unnecessarily difficult despite the fault being present from the start. Overall, the product quality and customer support did not meet reasonable expectations, and I would not recommend Ottocast based on my experience.

Purchased an OttoScreen AI for my car…massive mistake

Purchased an OttoScreen AI for my car (the Ottocast online tool said it was compatible). This is deceptive at the very least. The only place the screen would fit is on the dash obscuring the driver's view (safety issue) or on the passenger seat. I purchased this in early December and am still trying to get my money back. Do not buy their products -

Very bad customer service experience…

Very bad customer service experience asked to return something which they agreed. I am three weeks down the line still haven’t received a refund my postage in my return and my system several times they’ve ignored me so I told them I’ll be coming to review it. They haven’t even responded and it’s been four weeks where to find a company that really doesn’t care but seeing from the other low reviews is quite clear everyone has had this bad experience. set the refund will be sent after they had received it sent them the confirmation screenshot that they had received it several times and I haven’t even bothered to reply. I can’t tell you how many emails I’ve sent them to chase things up and it just gets ignored or answered after days last email was a week ago sent an email no reply
