I've personally had great results from the AI Optery removal of my personal information. I liked it enough to subscribe to my second year with Optery. It is worth it in my opinion nowadays with data breaches and just keeping my personal information private. It may not be perfect. It does get as much as possible off the Internet. As long as the developer keeps up on improving the system I plan on staying 😃👍

With Optery, Forget About DuckDuckGo and Yahoo "They Don't Even Scan Them"
I recently subscribed to Optery's Ultimate plan, which explicitly promises comprehensive scanning and removal of personal data from all major search engines, including DuckDuckGo and Yahoo. I even paid extra for their "Custom Scan".
I discovered that Optery was not scanning or removing my data from DuckDuckGo or Yahoo at all. When I contacted customer support, they essentially admitted this limitation, stating that their service primarily focuses on data brokers. They tried to dismiss DuckDuckGo and Yahoo as "search engines and content platforms" rather than data brokers, a weak excuse that directly contradicts Optery’s own marketing promises.
This is classic bait-and-switch. They advertise broad protection across "all search engines" to attract customers, then hide behind technical definitions once you’ve paid. If removing your personal information from DuckDuckGo and Yahoo is important to you, Optery will not deliver on what they promise.
I am canceling my subscription immediately and will be looking for a more honest and capable service. Save your money and look elsewhere if comprehensive search engine removal is what you actually need.

Optery removes personal information from the underlying sites where the data is published (data brokers). Search engines such as DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, etc. are not typically publishing your information directly, but rather indexing those data broker sites. Unfortunately, they don't refresh in real time, so even if your your data is removed from the underlying source listing, it may take a little time for the listing to disappear from the search engine (after search engine refreshes).

I’ve been using Optery for the past few year and have seen a reduction in exposure through data brokers. This has reduced spam calla and texts.
I recently had a billing issue with my yearly renewal, and it was addressed and fixed within an hour. That’s awesome customer service especially as it was a Saturday.

Data removal companies are a waste of money !
Data Brokers will have ( and sell ) your information anyway, with OR without Optery. I used this comany along with 2 others at the same time for months and guess what? I am still on 22 websites.Optery was the SLOWEST in removing anything out of all of the ones i used. Optery and Surfshark ( Incogni ) bug me Weekly with spam emails months after i quit using them to buy their product again ! Why would I pay more money for a service that takes your money and does not solve the problem ? They may take a few off but your info will pop up again soon on another site. The real problem is the Government not dealing with these Data brokers. Optery, Please take me off your mailing list, your product is a waste of hard earned money.

Honest. Offer refund before I had to ask.
Very good customer service. In my case, Optery found only 1 result, and they told me Canadians average around 17. Before I even asked for anything, they contacted me and asked if I wanted a refund.
I really appreciated that. It felt honest, proactive, and fair. Many companies would have said nothing, so this left me with a very positive impression.

Solid Start, Shady Tactics Afterward
Optery will create fake screenshots to lure you into paying again. At the outset, it was a good service, until they started faking results and deliberately slacking to keep you subscribed.
I would have been more inclined to pay if they were transparent, but clearly they don’t see it that way. Good initial service, terrible after the first round of deletions.
Do yourself a favor and stick to the main data brokers, opt out yourself from people connect then use incogni for spam calls. Use free kanary to scan your search results.
After noticing, I’m convinced Optery could even go back and opt you back in just to keep the payments coming.
I’m done with Optery.

An Essential Service If We Value Our Privacy!
Optery offers a valuable service at a reasonable price. In today's world, digital privacy is very difficult to achieve. For nearly two centuries in this nation, our laws recognized that privacy is "the right to be left alone." Regrettably, those days are far behind us. Today, our data is big business. Corporations believe our data is THEIR property simply because they have monitored, collected, archived, and sold information about our personal online behavior and buying habits... consistently without our permission or even our awareness. This is a twisted and self-serving viewpoint to be sure, but it is indeed today's reality. Optery offers individuals an affordable and convenient method to push back a bit on the bazillion data aggregators. Sadly, they collect and sell our information with complete abandon. The service offered by Optey scrubs this information quite well... and rescrubs it when it reappears (a constant battle). In previous years, I spent the time and effort to clean up this digital "bread crumb trail" by my own efforts. Within a few short years, aggregators became so prolific that my personal efforts were totally insufficient (and I'm a retired CEO from the computer industry).Upon discovering Optery, I was a bit skeptical at first. However, I have found this service to be amazingly thorough, convenient and a reasonable value for the money. For the past couple years, my annual membership has been a very good use of money... and offers me some peace of mind in an age when this has become an increasing rarity.
