horrible service

horrible service. in their description, it states: USA Phone Number for 2 step SMS verifications and alarms from PayPal, Banks and financial institutions. However, after purchase, it can not receive txt code from etoro at all. ( etoro is just a normal financial institution). and I checked on phonevalidator website, the phone number they provide is a VOIP number! who would pay 79 dollars for a VOIP number?! google voice is free!

Not as described and way over priced!

update after seeing company's reply:
this company is really shameless liar.
1. check on phonevalidator by yourself, potential buyers~ the number they gave me is 1-470-220-2502. It says loud and clear, it's a VOIP number! ( I would have upload a photo, but this trustpilot won't let me. so pls check by yourself, guys)
2. the company claims that I've used this number for other service, that a bloody lie! I have not received a single txt code with this number at all!!!
3. the company says I'm welcomed to contact them. the truth is when I start asking business name and business address to prepare my legal actions, they stopped replying!

This shameless company charge me 79 dollars for a VOIP number which should be totally free and lied about everything!

Hello Donna,

The OneSimCard USA Number for Bank Institutions is designed to work with the major US banking institutions and major banking service providers common in the USA. We cannot guarantee that the mechanism will work with all institutions worldwide. We can see that the product worked just fine for you with other institutions. Enough for you to make a second purchase of an additional number.

The number we provide is indeed a real mobile number, which is then forwarded to you either via email, by SMS, or with our own VoIP application for iPhone and Android. We do indeed use a VoIP system to forward the messages if you choose, but the numbers are real and work with most major banks. We cannot speak for what any third party has to say about our technology as it is rather unique.

The price of this service is representative of the costs involved in producing this product. Unlike Google Voice (which is VoIP and does not work with 2 Step Verification), we use real US mobile phone numbers which have associated costs. This price did not seem to prevent you from using the service or purchasing a second number.

While we understand you could not use the product for this specific service, we are welcoming of you to contact us so we can look into thing deeper and discuss any issues you have with our products. We don't see any record of you reaching out for assistance or support.

Horrible experience!

Horrible experience!

-Customer service is functioning more like a robot in a defensive stance! There is no human effort to understand the customer situation, and rather just push the blame back onto the customer and make him pay additional fees!

- 1st sim card ordered was sent to my US mail forwarding address, after which, it got lost in transit and never received (initial outbreak of COVID-19). This is not a fault of OneSimCard of course. BUT, when I contacted them and explained the situation, I received a useless reply saying" your shipment has been delivered"! Obviously, there was no "customer care" or any attempt to understand the situation! I was not even given the option to pay for a replacement sim card.

- I had to order a completely new sim card, which was supposed to have banking SMS service enabled. The card I received did not have that. And when I contacted customer support again, I had to purchase additional

- OneSimCard is continuously trying to charge me monthly for the lost sim card that was never received nor activated. And no action whatsoever was taken by customer service to fix the situation, even after contacting them twice about the sim card being lost!

- Another observation is how outdated the website and user interfaces are. Information on the website and sim-management pages is not clear and extremely non-user-friendly! The system look and functionality is very 1990's!

- If I could push back time, I would not have spent a single penny for this crappy level of customer service!

Works great once I figured it out

Works great once I figured it out. Bought sim card thinking to use it for bank verification. Figured out I needed to then get a us bank verification PEN after registration. Then I could receive SMS messages but could not respond. Figured out I had to receive and send through Voip app not through messages and it works great. Thanks. Customer support was patient with me and had me up and running in no time flat.

The number that I was given was to be used as a bank verification number. However, when I attempted to use it the bank said it could not accept the number as it was not an actual landline or sim.

NO - Product does not match Purchase

The product purchased does not match the product received. My receipt shows "USA Phone Number for 2 step SMS verifications and alarms from PayPal, WhatsApp, Banks and financial institutions + SIM Card." The SIM card was never received. When I contacted customer service, I was told I had never purchased a SIM and would have to pay more to obtain one.

Hello Chris,

That is correct. When purchasing our bank PEN, to allow the ability to response to the short code, it does require the virtual SIM for $10 that is attached to your account. Your receipt will say "+SIM Card". During check out, if you clicked on SIM details, you would have been prompted with a message saying that if a physical SIM is desired, it would have required a separate purchase. We hope that this helps clarify what was purchased and in no way were you not sent a SIM card that was purchased. We hope this understanding allows us to earn a more fair updated rating.

Thank you,

The number for sim forwarding worked well for most 2 factor authentications except zelle...it did take a week or so back and forth between my bank and Onesim but eventually I'm able to make zelle payments now using forwarded 2 factor sms.

The sim cards work HOWEVER...

The sim cards work.

However, their customer service is on par with comcast. They are animals.

One would think that reloading your account would be easy.

Forget it.

You have to upload authorization forms, with lots of personal info, in order to make a simple payment.

Oh, and they say you can pay with paypal... however, good fn luck finding it.

After speaking to the customer serviced dullard cowards, they gave me the run around.

Bottom line, all i had to do was upload the form.

I did. Against my will.

Then... no paypal option.

You're best bet is to simply but a sim at the air port when you land. They are overpriced and scummy, but at least they let you know that up front.

OneSim's agents are subhuman. I'd like to believe they are simply imbeciles rather than evil, but that's a stretch.

They're reply with some soft bs garbage, but don't be mistaken. The tech works... payments and customer service are, however, some of the worst on this planet or any other.

Hello Sam,

We are sorry to hear of your experience during the recharge of your account. Various factors such as card type, IP address of your original purchase, or information mismatch can trigger additional verification process. This is to protect our customers from any unauthorized charges on their account.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by our additional verification process but that does not reflect on support team's ability to provide assistance. PayPal is accepted via the 1SimFund which in turn can be used to recharge your account after all required documents are uploaded.

We do hope that after taking this into consideration that we are able to earn an updated rating.

Thank you again for the feedback and safe travels,

You'll realize you made a horrible…

You'll realize you made a horrible mistake once you load the nonrefundable account with money and begin to sort through the various plans which, at the time I did this admittedly a couple years ago, was a nightmare. I would suggest buying SIM cards when you land - it's easy, cheaper and you know you'll get it right. I suggested to OneSim that they let customers submit a travel schedule (my son went through like 10 countries) and then they could develop a plan for appropriate SIM cards. But, as you'll find out if you purchase this godawful service, you can spend hours getting through, talking to customer service, trying to parse plans and really still have a big question mark. In the end, OneSIM kept my $290 remaining dollars in my account and I had no choice but to part ways - then I found out using them wasn't even necessary.

Hello Troy,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with us here at OneSimCard. Many customers use our option instead as we provide coverage in multiple countries without the need to purchase a local SIM card for each country they travel to. In certain countries, you are not even able to purchase a local SIM unless there is proof of residency.

For SIM selection, we do have an online tool that allows customers to select the appropriate SIM card based on the country of travel. This can be found here: https://www.onesimcard.com/best-roaming-sim-card-selection/

In regards to plans, the discount data plan options are available and certain plans will cover a wide range of countries but not all. It is important that whatever plan is selected will cover the itinerary.

We hope to have your continued business as you indicate that you have some remaining questions as well as a remaining balance. Please send us a quick message to support@onesimcard.com and a member of the support team will reach out. Please include your SIM card number and best contact info.

Thank you again for the feedback and safe travels,
